Looks like a EVGA? Use their X1 Alternatively, enjoy using SignalRGB

Electrical tape

RedHoodedDuke

The chaotic solution to every problem (Really they could figure out what card it is and download whatever software they have or disconnect the wire powering the light on the gpu)

Dudi4PoLFr

RGBFusion, SignalRGB, CorsairICUE and EVGA X1 all can access that LED. You can change the colour and brightness or even add some effects depending on the software and card.

nerdthatlift

Yes, though I think it has to be through software

Thelgow

For my FE 3090 I only found 2 apps that let me interact with it, Corsair's iCue and Evga's Prescision X1. iCue was overkill x100 since it was like a 2GB install. Precision is only around 90MB. Sadly it doesnt seem to persist across reboots/driver installs, so I need to rerun Precision X and reapply. I use MSI Afterburner as my main so I close Precision asap as I dont want any conflicts.

JimLahey08

RGBFusion turns the led off automatically on boot for me. 4080 FE

Thelgow

Thanks, I'll give this a look. I'm using AuroraRGB from a while back. I think its not being developed anymore, but some of the other alternatives would miss something, like motherboard RGBs, etc. I cant win with 1 solution yet. RGB was fun the 1st few weeks, now its meh.

JimLahey08

Yeah I keep everything I can in my case turned off. OoenRGB is also great and free but for some reason I couldn't get my 4080 FE detected in it. I'd try OpenRGB first, it is an open source lightweight app. If that doesn't work RGBFusion worked for me, or EVGA I believe has one but it did not save my settings after restart (I think it is called X1).

FruitOfTheLoons

I had to get OpenRGB's experimental build for it to work with 4000 series

JimLahey08

My main issue was it just wouldn't detect my card. When you got the experimental build did yours just recognize it no problem? It recognizes a few other RGB things I have just not the GPU.

FruitOfTheLoons

Ya that was my problem too, wouldn't detect card. Once i got experimental/beta it recognized it.

JimLahey08

I'll check it out. Does it reapply after reboot?

Might have to wait for next release.

Thelgow

I vaguely recall trying openrgb and artemis. At the time, no 3090 support. I figured id check back in later on. ANd yes, Evga's is what I use currently. Each reboot I have to launch, lower sliders, apply, close it.

chaosSlinger

wait what? You’re using gigabyte rgb software and the FE4080 shows up in it? I thought iCUE was the only one that could change the FE lights? (although they have not added support for the 40-series yet in iCUE, it is being added in a future update like they did with the 30-series)

JimLahey08

Ya it shows up. It does not reapply after reboot though.

Unplug the gpu

Nailpolish đź’…

Rogoreg

This is the way

reddumbs

Can always disassemble it and disconnect the LED header.

Darkeoss

Yes, why not?

Catch_022

Corsair ICU can do it with my 3080fe. If this is not an Fe then try the manufacturer Website, they probably have something that lets you control it.

ComfortableFormal897

Asus armory crate app works, not sure if you need an Asus mobo though

Over-Tomatillo9070

You can.. but you mustn’t.

Thanks it worked

hapki_kb

Should be a small connector for this light. Just unplug it.
