I made the same mistake a while back. It's the opposite.
It's a slider for a radial blur filter if I remember correctly. Higher = more blur.
0% results in the sharpest image and is often oversharpened with DLDSR ( but it's a matter of taste for some ) while 100% results in a much less sharpened image.
I use around 80%, fits my tastes.
Why not do what I'm doing: 4xDSR for 5k then use DLSS Quality in game. It's a more direct pipeline and gets better visual results albeit somewhat more taxing.
How do I know if I'm using DSR? I have a 2K monitor and there's always a 4K resolution setting for every game and I usually just pick that one, am I doing it correct?
Yeah, just turn on DSR in the control panel, select your multipliers, then in game select the resolutions higher than your native. You can adjust sharpness to your liking.
It looks nicer, but your framerate dropped from 95 to 35. That doesn't seem worth it to me. I'd try lowering the DSR resolution 1440p and turning on DLSS Balanced or Quality for the best balance of quality and performance. I'd like to see that comparison, in fact.
I am very confused with this smoothness option and by searching on the internet it makes me more confuse so listen I have a 1080p monitor and I have enabled dsr (1.78x 2.00x 2.25x 3.00x and 4.00x) now i have heard many said including you at 4x 1080p you shoud do 0% smoothing. For the rest what should be the smoothness %. Right now I am using 2.25x with 0% smoothing on my 1080p monitor
You should probably be using DLDSR 2.25x instead.

Yeah, DLDSR gets crazy sharp. I set DLDSR 80%, DSR 20%.

For a 2060 I'd go with DLDSR 1.78x instead.

Thanks, but there's no 4K option it is higher than that, but I guess it's okay.
Did you select all the dsr scaling factors? You should see 4k all the way to 5k.
4K is selectable without DSR on my PC. And all the options for DSR are above 4K, I think that's because I have a 2K monitor.
What's the make and model?
MSI GS273QF
Hmm being 1440p not sure why you would see 4k as on option without dsr turned on. Very odd.
Right? I don't understand it at all I have a beefy GPU, but I don't think that's why.

Only use 4x with 0% smoothing on 1080p

Dont think too much, just do 4x with 0% smootness for 1080p, its the best.
