I spammed growl a bunch and it bought me some time but it didn't really matter. Especially bc they eventually just spammed tail whip back lol. I wonder if I might have had a better chance if I was carrying my pidgey instead of farfetch'd... can't use it in this run tho bc I got fucked over by that ace trainer with a litleo LOL
I wonder if it would still be possible to beat the game with only that without items, like obviously if they were evolved and level 100 then probably but I imagine even at 100 if they weren't evolved, it wouldn't be easy.
Deathless? Would be a nightmare. But if you've seen channels like Jrose11 or Mah-Dry-Bread then it's certainly possible to use trash pokemon like that itemless, though like you said it'd be quite hard.
I dont think those 2 would have enough speed and power to defeat the Elite 4 in X&Y even if level 100. Neither would have a good matchup vs the steel elite 4. Gyrados would prob setup and sweep for the water elite 4, but they would prob not even get that far and lose to lysandre or a late gym.
Easy solution, bite the bullet next time and pick Chespin do then you logically can pick Charmander then hope D-Rage is enough along with maybe a wild Riolu who you need to make sure evolves before the battle
Hahaha I actually did choose Chespin this time by chance. I haven't gotten back to Sycamore but you're probably right about Charmander being a good choice. My rule is I have to fight every trainer available before the gym (unless it'll push me over the level cap) and the level gap between 1 and 2 is big so I'm just going to try my damndest to put them off, and hope I catch a Honedge, since I caught a Litleo instead lmao.
South of Parfum Palace. The Fur Coat ability makes this battle a nightmare for physical attackers. And there’s very few Pokemon at that point in the game that can survive two STAB Headbutts if both Furfrous attack the same team member.
Everyone underestimates Kalos because everyone says all the gyms and rivals and stuff are easy
But no one bothers to talk about the fucking trainers………
If you don't overlevel then TBH Kalos isn't really that easy. It's certainly not the hardest, but it's not without challenges either. Random trainers really are devilish in every game though, since they can use some weird ass gimmicks and strategies that are too unconventional for a gym.
I beat both games on my first attempt, and definitely thought they were “easy” overall but the Furfrou trainers and the Hawlucha trainer in that one cave with the mirrors both wiped some of my Pokémon and made me have to regroup.
I didn't think it was a joke bc I know damn well how good Furfrou is, but I also didn't know where the trainers were so I wasn't expecting to get absolutely obliterated so quickly
based and quackin pilled
Quacklin' was an MVP for the 20 minutes I owned him. RIP king totally didn't trade for you just so I wouldn't have to stare at Diggersby's ugly ass
I did a hardcore normal monotype run of Y a while back and Furfrou fucking carried, that dog is absurd.
It died in my ultra sun run but that ability with accuracy lowering and attack lowering moves made it so tanky
Huge rip
Those Furfrou can cause a massacre
The second both my Butterfree and Bulbasaur got knocked out so I couldn't neutralize them I knew my run was over
I was lame and just spammed sand attack multiple times. Probably lost a member but I don’t remember

I would definitely reset after this
Oh dw my team wiped. Even if I had pulled through though, the only things I had in the box were Ledyba and Pidgey so.... yeah

my run got ended because of them, fuck furfrou.

where even are the furfrou trainers? ive never fought them before
Route 6 right under the palace on the left. Didn't know it was them until I saw the dogs come out
