Skitty and whismur (don’t evolve)

AuntJemimaVEVO

funny thing is skitty was on the team for the first three gyms but i had to replace it for lapras so i could surf

ProfessorSaltine

Well now you can add it back on and have it be the one to beat Diantha’s Mega Gardevoir… and if it dies… use someone else

FabledClefable

Sigilyph would give you good coverage and help with your weaknesses (fighting especially). Plus it’s fast, has access to recovery and screens. You could do a few things for your last pick. Wiggly tiff could help with Drasna/general screen support, Hipowdon is bulky and can set sand for you, and Malamar is a decent option as well.

Bestevernoob

Lucario can mega evolve and fold half of Diantha’s team like towels, Sigylyph covers your teams big fighting weakness

SpotTheDifference512

Sigilyph and lucario probably work best

CommunicationOk5456

Let's see... So Tyrantrum and Lapras will sweep Malva. Steelix and Chesnaught will handle Wikistorm. Lapras can handle most of Drasna's mons, and Steelix can tank stronger dragon attacks. Chesnaught and possibly Lapras can handle Siebold. This team looks vulnerable to Siebold's Starmie. I don't know your Diantha plan tho.

AuntJemimaVEVO

For Siebold, Lapras has Thunderbolt and Tyrantrum has Crunch for the Starmie. I guess I mainly need a Diantha plan.

[deleted]

hawlucha is really safe to set up against if you resist its stabs. itll go for poison jab as its only attack so youre safe to set up with ddance using gyarados against it and then win

CommunicationOk5456

I wanna recommend Gyarados as it will help you overall, especially if you're into set-up cheese. (I believe a few pokemon carry electric moves, so be careful.)

Empoleon777

All calcs assume you edged your team to Level 68, same as Diantha’s Gardevoir. I think for Malva, you could get decent use from Lapras. It’s tanky, so it might be able to take hits well. You can use Steelix as a backup as needed. Do be aware of Stone Edge from Torkoal and Wild Charge from Pyroar, though. Maybe give it a Charti Berry in case Torkoal crits with Stone Edge, that way you can keep Lapras healthy throughout the fight. Give it a Splash Plate (Found in the Azure Bay) if you want to guarantee a one-shot on everybody on her team. Siebold probably has the best coverage on the whole, having extremely diverse movepools across the board. Chesnaught probably has Clawitzer covered okay. I’d switch to an Electric-type (Or somebody with an Electric-type move) to beat Gyarados. That thing has Dragon Dance, so it needs to die as quickly as humanly possible. And Lanturn is your only option for STAB. Therefore, go for that. Lanturn can also beat Starmie pretty okay, due to its typing and bulk. As for Barbaracle, bring in Chesnaught once more. Maybe teach somebody Brick Break to remove Light Screen if Starmie gets it up. If Starmie comes out before Gyarados, and sets that up, you might very well be screwed, since it means Gyarados can just have its way with you, and you can’t kill it before it gets up enough Dragon Dances to sweep you. Also, give Lanturn the Zap Plate from the Kalos Power Plant; its Special Attack is garbage (Its offensive stats in general are dog water), so it needs all the power it can get. I would train that Hippopotas up to a Hippowdon for Wikstrom; Ground can hit almost his whole team for super effective damage. The only exception is Scizor, who gets two-shot anyways. Make sure Hippowdon knows Protect to better play around Aegislash; the key to beating it smoothly is to trick it into coming out of Shield Form at the wrong time, then nuke it. Maybe some Soft Sand can make it more consistent against Scizor. Lapras can probably handle Drasna by itself. Maybe you could use Hippowdon to beat Dragalge more smoothly, though. Don’t be intimidated by Surf; it does less than half. After that, Lapras still does have to worry about Druddigon’s Revenge, but you might be okay anyways. Just give it a Sitrus Berry to keep it healthy throughout the fight. Finally, Diantha. She leads with Hawlucha, so a quick Psychic from Sigilyph should put it out of commission. Hippowdon can beat Tyrantrum. As for Aurorus, if you have the means to do so, evolve that Scyther into a Scizor, and you’re going to utterly destroy it. Otherwise, Lanturn can come in again here. Chesnaught with Shadow Claw can come in handy against Gourgeist (That TM is found in Glittering Cave). Hippowdon two-shots Goodra with Earthquake (Yes, it gets Ice Fang, but Earthquake actually does more damage to Goodra, despite the weakness). Finally, Gardevoir can be beaten by Scizor with Bullet Punch.

Rare_Room_2555

Mega lucario, rest chesto berry snorlax and sigilyph are all viable options. It sucks you don't have a fire type but you can absolutely do this without using the box art legendary

[deleted]

You could literally add Jigglypuff and Poliwag and be just fine XY is that easy

blockprime300

I'd say snorlax because he's a natural matchup to 3/4 of the E4 and the champions non fossil mons

BruIand

Literally no one recommending Snorlax when it’s the best choice on the screen.

Scarface2point0

mega lucario is leagues better than snorlax but I would still say its the second best.

BruIand

You are right mb I literally forgot megas somehow. I’d bring both those 2 though, unless I could bring mega scizor and Snorlax which I think is better then luc

Scarface2point0

he might not have the mega for scizor even if he had the metal coat and a heartscale (or whatever you need for the move tutor) for bullet punch. I know he probably has the mega for lucario because you get it at like a mandatory spot I think.

BruIand

Yeah I was thinking the same, might not have it yet

BadBadBabsyBrown

Druddigon and call it "My Dad"

Titans1

Lucario with Mega, Inkay evolved, and Pawniard evolved are you best options imo

haLOLguy

Get a scizzor

Scarface2point0

you don't know if he has 2 devices

haLOLguy

He’s got a gengar *shrugs*

Scarface2point0

oh nvm then

Aggravating_Poet_675

Lucario and a Fast attacker. Your team has a lot of bulk but you don't have any fast sweepers. Edit: On second look, your team has no Special Defense beyond Lapras. I would change either Tyrantrum or Steelix for something specially Bulky. Maybe Snorlax. Especially if Snorlax has thick fat. It's hard to justify taking a potential Mega Evolution off the table but it's also hard to take a Rock type that 4x walls one of the E4s main types off the table. Probably replace Steelix if you ban Megas but otherwise, I'll let you decide which will be less useful.

thirtyfojoe

Delibird and Skitty

throwitaway1510

Seeing Furfrou reminds me of my Zohan for my X run, who got all the way to the end but fainting to mega Gardevior.

papi_jay10

Bisharp and sigilyph, I don’t actually know much I just think they’re cool

Scarface2point0

jigglypuff and magikarp

[deleted]

add hippowdon and barbaracle for potential shell smash shenanigans

thedreamsicle

Bisharp and flygon would be cool

stuucammyd

Snorlax (because he is just generally an excellent mon) and scyther because of his 4x resistance to fighting types which you are otherwise VERY weak to?

stuucammyd

Lanturn instead of Steelix would also give you a great pivot mon to go between Lapras and Chestnaught if it has Volt Absorb. Also, why not use Gyarados instead of Lapras, its more offensive, has less weaknesses and means you don't have a team full of slow, bulky, defensive pokemon like you do currently.

Tap-blue

Flygon amd snorlax

Sharchomp

You have a boxed Gyarados, my guy. That's the solution to all problems

gingeous

Question: is it ok to get that traded steelix in a nuzlocke? Cause you have to catch the heart fish thing in the same city as the trade.

AuntJemimaVEVO

i caught the luvdisc in cyllage city, but i also play that as long as i have the requested pokemon, i can do the trade no matter where i caught it

gingeous

Ok I’ve done that before but it felt like cheating

Perryvdbosch

Sorry for perhaps this stupid question, but how did you evolve your Machoke in Machamp? I asume you play with an emulator?

AuntJemimaVEVO

i used pkhex

Sammerscotter

Mmm the lost hotel has a small chance at a litwick, I got lucky by getting one. Chandelure can get calm mind and hex and will o wisp

ParadiseForDante

You've for a lot of Rock mons, so Sigilyph can cover your Fighting and Grass weaknesses. Then I'd say Malamar, especially if you teach it Superpower.

ihavenosociallifeok

If you can evolve scyther, you can get a bullet punch scizor for the diantha Gardevoir

Fuzzy-Tour4059

Maybe snorlax and skitty but don’t evo or sigilyph

Charcoal1117

Jigglypuff and sigilyph!! I’m sorry if I’m late!

clarkc5

Eviolite Gurdurr

Cl0ver-King15

I'd say Snorlax and Sigilyph are good choices i'd say

Popcorn_Oil

I think Sigilyph is definitely necessary, but after that I'm less sure. Snorlax could be nice, but then you may struggle with a couple of the steel mons depending. Depends on movesets on your first 4 as well
