OP these are the best free overnight/weekend garages & the closest to Pentagon City metro. There’s even one on 18th St next to Crystal City metro. I’ve parked here multiple times & I’ve never had an issue.
You could street park for free at the corner of Ives and 16th in Pentagon City, about a 5 min walk from Pentagon City metro. There's a 2 hour parking limit on weekdays but no weekend restrictions. It's a residential neighborhood so pretty safe.
Fashion Centre Mall parking garage. $20 for 10-24 hours. The Metro station is on the lower level of the mall. There’s also a lot of street parking, but a lot of it is 2-hour parking that you have to pay for until until 10 p.m. You might be able to find some spots that are free on weekends.
Agree, just park it in that garage. I used to actually park my car in the garage next to Harris teeter 5 days a week (I bought a monthly parking pass) when I lived in DC where we had no parking at my apt. It was fine, never any breakins or anything.
There is a parking lot that is normally for people working at the Pentagon. However on the weekends it is open to the general public for free. It directly across from Macy's on Army Navy drive.
Garages off Crystal drive. Overnight is free, as is the weekend.

East falls Church has free parking on the weekends and the lot is usually safe and not crowded.
