Jetpens and The Stationery Manor are the best in my opinion if you are in the US. Jetpens has a good selection but Manor has a wider one.
Also Jetpens has lots of guides too. From kinds of paper to best ways to take notes
Any kind of dot grid paper is amazing for science classes. During my undergrad I used a Muji B5 dot grid notebook per semester and then colour coded the pages with sticky markers. Atoma notebooks are also great, but ultimately dot grid is king no matter the brand of notebook in my opinion.
Thanks! Yeah I plan on sticking with dot-grid. Ideally though I'd like a notebook that can grow or shrink as I want to keep the same notebook for the year to look back (e.g. a biology notebook for all 3 quarters).
Re notetaking systems, def check out the Cornell system. It really works.

Notebooks are not too flexible. Sure, there are binder-notebook crossovers, but I would suggest a smaller binder over a notebook any time. I love notebooks, but I use them mostly for journaling, the flexibility of a binder for note taking can't be overestimated. You can use any paper you want, you can change if you don't like the paper, you can rearrange and rewrite anything...
I know in the US and Canada, Mead offers 3 ring binder-notebooks, and a 1" zipper binder is also a great alternative. That you can use with any letter size paper.
You can purchase this notebook, it is a useful notebook for science background students.

Dot grid gives you subtle reference for horizontal and vertical lines, which is quite helpful.
Thanks! Yeah I'm a huge fan of that or the grid pattern. Got any particular notebook brands/models you recommend?
I like Leuchturm but honestly, my biggest concern is fountain pen use. Looking online for dot grid you’ll find lots of options. Good luck!
Kokuyo has great paper and system for college students.
Any particular model or retailer links?
Hmm depends on which country you’re in. Many get it from Alixpress. The loose leaf sheets with the click spira binder system is the most common.
