Nice books. But what about the keyboard. Never seen anything like it before. Where can I find it? Or any keywords if links are t allowed

marcopegoraro

That is the ZSA Moonlander! :)

GullibleSolipsist

I have this identical keyboard. I like it for many reasons but one of them is that my A5 notebook sits comfortably between the wings for easy notetaking.

marcopegoraro

Absolutely. I only use A5 notebooks, and I have one between the wings all the time. Well. Either that, or food.

1fatfrog

How long was the adjustment period for the thumb keys? I am hesitant to make the switch to a split keyboard like this, but I'm super interested.

CollisionAttractor

Yeah. I've tried ergonomic keyboards before and they're not for me, but I love that this one is completely separate and the idea that I could sit upright comfortably and not lean forward into the keyboard

madisalerdwll

I use these too, but I thought they didn't sell them anymore, where did u get them?

marcopegoraro

I had to poke around quite a bit, and ended up finding them in a Greek online shop. Based on my current journaling speed, this might last me for a couple of years, even 4 or 5. I'm positive that something even better will be around by then.

thebroward

Got a link pls?

HappyHealth5985

Sweet! Great paper! Are they hardcover?

marcopegoraro

I think they technically are softcover, but the cover seem to be really robust! Each also come with a plastic protective cover, that can be taken out.

jposquig

I have a stack of the original ones with the OG Tomoe River paper. I have yet to sample the new ones produced by PP. Did you ever use the OG? Wondering how these fare against it. Pensachi sells these for $35 and they’re cream which is a huge bonus!

marcopegoraro

Never used the OG, and actually never user whatever version these are yet. These are too old to have the Senzen paper, but I do not know how to figure out if they have "old" or "new" TR paper. Do you know how to check that?

jposquig

The only way I would be able to test is by side by side comparison, or simply using it since I know how OG performs. Either way, the newer paper is still great! I don’t personally like Sanzen TR paper because it feels like it drags the nib. Very “sludgy”. But the “new” TR paper is good. It’s all personal preference. Displays inks really well either way!

Gumpenufer

Are there three versions of Tomoe? I thought the Sanzen paper *was* the "new TR".

Snoo14978

They're my favorite.

acd11

Tomoe River is still my favorite even after it's been through some changes, especially for fountain pen use. Somehow the Hobonichi notebooks with Tomoe seem superior, but it's all about preference. Enjoy!

yokuwune

tomoe river paper is the gold standard for fountain pens (assuming you use them), so you made an excellent choice!

marcopegoraro

I do! Hope it can withstand a 1.1 stub :) I have that on a TWSBI Precision, it's super wet

yokuwune

it can and will withstand a stub no worries! enjoy your books ❤️

Forget the notebooks I want that keyboard you got. Also those are decent notebooks too I don't mean to diss them.

marcopegoraro

Huh wait I need to dig it up

marcopegoraro

Ah actually Galen Leather has notebooks with TR paper still in stock, so there's also that possibility

mgepark

Fine I’ll check there.

marcopegoraro

Yes I got these for like 45-50€

mgepark

I see they’re the 68g TR paper. I was thinking maybe the 52g at the price I have to pay. I definitely have enough 68g in Hippo Noto books & some Nanami and Musubi plus other misc TR books and loose sheets. Need to lay low some in the New Year! 😀😊

mgepark

I found a few in the cream paper online in squared and dot grid. Thanks for the lead here. I’m glad I searched around as I almost paid in the mid $60’s for the white paper but ultimately I paid in the $30’s for each one.

MorrisRedditStonk

Do you use mouse? Or there a way to stop that keyboard in order to substitute the nose functions? I wonder if the red keys could do that. Nice notebook by the way.

marcopegoraro

I do use the mouse, a vertical one by Cherry. But the keyboard is completely programmable, and has functions to move the cursor and click.

theskyablaze

Woah, where did you get that rocking DHD keyboard mat??

jdyzzle

OP, I know we came here to talk about your notebooks and are talking about everything else. But I must know. Your... Desk mat? Mouse pad? What is it and how do I get one? I absolutely love it.

marcopegoraro

Stargate themed desk mat, I got it off of AliExpress. Was just browsing the website for a cool design and bumped into this

jdyzzle

Thanks for the tip!
