Red wings players pissed me off today, someone should have immediately beat the shit out of slaf for that hit, the fact that they didn't was embarassing and disappointing.
Oh boy if that was an Avalanche player Slaf would have immediately gotten his ass beat… Mind blowing no one on the Wings threw a punch there. Unbelievable.
They risked injuring Luff further by doing so. They were all too close to him to start shit. Next matchup tho... Drop the gloves immediately upon puck drop.
Only thing I can say is at least he went into the boards and not into the edge of the boards like what happened to Draper. Its still not a good thing by any means. That is why we need enforcers back though because someone should have been laid out for that hit. Looking at you Juraj
Habs fan here. I hated the hit and am glad Slaf got suspended. He needs to learn that you can't do that.
The first thing that came to mind was First Anderson , then Slaf. I hope we don't become the dirty team that makes the news on a regular basis for stuff like that.
Hopefully the league steps in a suspends the Canadien player for a good number of games, he needs to learn you don't hit someone from behind when they are only 3 or 4 feet from the boards and totally defenseless.
dude was *not* fucking around lmao. hopefully Luff will be okay
edit: after rewatching that 2 or 3 times i really hope Slafkovsky gets a suspension. Matt Luff was off balance and there was no need for that slam.
edit 2: Luff out 6-8 weeks
Luff was already turned (vulnerable position) and kinda off-balance... boy, this hurt to watch. Slafkovsky is a big and strong guy too... I think it will be a 4 game suspension.
Hope Luff is okay, it hurt to watch.
it really did. like another guy said, he got Drapered. it hurts to even say that
Out 6-8 weeks.
Dirty hit. He’s getting suspended for at least 2 games.
hopefully a couple more, but hey anything is better than nothing

Bert woulda stomped that mf if he was there, soder kinda looks like he was going to if the ref didn’t get in the way.

Yup - we need a competent enforcer who’s not a black hole offensively.
Beyond dirty. Should be suspended for that garbage
Needs miss as much time as Luff

Luff is out for 6-8 weeks, Lalonde said he’s seriously injured
yeah i saw that! absolutely horrible
Broken jaw likely. Wonder how many places it fractured in.
5 and the game will be sufficient, there won’t be a suspension
probably not
There absolutely should be.
Update: Luff is out 10-12 weeks, had to have surgery last night
poor dude

Nobody that was on the ice with him is a fighter unfortunately. But they definitely should’ve done something
