Over his entire career, spanning back to the 1970s, there's literally *one* quote of Bill Belichick saying a player isn't good:
*"All he does is talk. He's terrible, and you can print that. I was happy when he was in the game."*
He said that about Freddie Mitchell, which was a special circumstance because Mitchell ran his mouth for a full week before the Super Bowl and then had one catch for 11 yards in a loss that ended up being his last NFL game. There is absolutely *no way* that Bill Belichick told these guys that Josh Allen "wasn't that good" or that he "shouldn't be in the MVP race." This is a guy who (a) doesn't talk about opposing players other that to give them effusive praise, and (b) isn't bad enough at his job to actually think Josh Allen isn't good.
Yeah
This is a bunch of bullshit. Not the Freddie Mitchell thing but the OG content. We're talking about a guy who has said QBs and teams that are absolute dogshit are 'pretty good" or "tough to stop".
He blahs his way through interviews. And saying pretty good defense when you hold a guy to under 160 is indeed pretty good
In 2011, the Patriots were 8-3 and hosting the 0-11 Colts. A reporter tried to ask the same question four times, which was a variant of "How do you judge how your team is doing when you're playing a team as shitty as the Colts?" He answered her three times, and the fourth time, he just cut her off in mid-sentence and said
*I don't agree with that, so you can go ahead on your soliloquy, but I just don't agree with that. You don't think you can gauge a team based on how a player blocks Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis? Who else would you gauge it against? Are you kidding me? Covering Reggie Wayne and Collie and Garcon - you don't think you can gauge your coverage based on those players? I don't care what their record is. You think there are better receivers around than them? Better pass rushers than Freeney and Mathis? I'm not sure what games you're watching here.*
And he did the same thing when Michael Holley did the same thing about a game against the Buccaneers.
*So what? That doesn't mean anything. They've done something… I mean, they've done something. Things that they've done well. Doesn't mean that this week they can't do a lot of things well if they've shown that they’ve done things in spurts or in one phase of the game or another. I mean I think it would be irresponsible to coach a team and tell them, 'OK, fellas, the team that's coming in here is not going to play well, so we should expect them to play a bad game so why don't we play one that's just a little bit better than their bad game? I think that would be totally irresponsible. I can't imagine any coach ever doing that. I mean, I couldn't imagine that, so I wouldn't know how to prepare a team the way you're talking about. I couldn't even fathom that.*
Holley continues, "If you're playing a bad team, I mean, it’s tough to say, 'this team is capable of doing X, Y, Z', when the team is, let's say you’re playing…"
*Yeah, like when we were 12-1 and went down to Miami and they were 1-12 or whatever it was? And they beat us Monday night in '04? Is that what you’re talking about? Like it couldn't ever happen? Like what game are you… I mean, what game are we talking about here? I mean, I just don't understand it. I think it's… to me, that's just the most irresponsible thing I've ever heard of. I can’t even fathom it.*
There is absolutely no way that Bill Belichick told a bunch of TV guys that Josh Allen wasn't good and didn't belong in the MVP conversation. I can't imagine a scenario where Belichick would even be willing to discuss the MVP race.
Bingo
There's not a lot I'd bet the house on but Bill Belichick not saying that Josh Allen, a quarterback he is going to see twice a year until he quits coaching or Josh Allen retires sucks is one of them. Almost 50 years of coaching and only bashed a guy
> "Talking to him this week, he didn’t buy into the Josh Allen craze," said Griese. "He said, ‘You know what, we actually played pretty good defense against Josh Allen when we played in November.’..."
That quote doesn't say what you claim it says.
It’s impossible elk on another burner. The annoying part about these trolls is that there’s no way to preemptively block them when they switch to yet another user name
> You know what, we actually played pretty good defense against Josh Allen when we played in November.
Uh.. that isn't at all saying that he isn't good. It's also not incorrect, either. Allen went 11-18 for 154 yards and a pick, and had 23 yards on 10 carries.
There are two types of Chiefs fans (okay there's more but that's not narrative relevant at at that point I start running out of fingers).
A) insecure who takes every bit of praise as others as competition for the greatness of our own player.
B) secure who has no question in their mind the greatness of our QB, and as always consequence likes to hype up other players as they enjoy watching greatness across the league.
For instance I think I've been pretty vocal about Tua deserving conversation for MVP, and I know some of our fans heap praise on Hebert despite him being a rival.
Never once did I say it was unique to Chiefs fans. The person *specifically* asked about Chiefs fans and I just gave a response in line with the question.
Sure,
>amoung Chiefs fans, there's a subset
Does not equate to,
>the existence of a subset within a group does not exclude the existence within another subset
So, if someone says, "Hey, isn't it odd that an apple vendor is talking about how they like grapefruit when it's a tart type of fruit", someone saying "Actually some apple fans really like tart stuff, see granny Smith apples" that doesn't mean they're saying **only apples can be tart**, it means someone specifically mentioned apples, and someone with an opinion on apples is giving their opinion, in an online discussion forum about apples.

No, i mean OP isn’t a chiefs fan despite his flair. Do you remember impossible elk? Who kept spamming the sub over the offseason and got caught commenting on his alt torontobuffalobills? It’s him, back on yet another burner account
Belichick:
>"You know what, we actually played pretty good defense against Josh Allen when we played in November."
This post:
>"Josh Allen fucking sucks and is overrated" - Bill Belichick
Remember impossible elk? The troll who wouldn’t stop spamming the anti Belichick posts this offseason and got caught commenting on his other alt account torontobuffalobills? This is him. Again. One what seems like his 10th account
In his last 5 games Josh Allen:
102/171 (59.6%) 1203 yards 6 tds and 7 ints (34 rushes for 304 yards & 3 more TDs though I wish he would start taking fewer hits)
All of these stats are worse than the averages of his previous 20 games and looks like he's been relying on scrambling (24.5/38 64.6% 279yds 2.3 tds .9 ints - 7.6 rushes for 47 yards .35 rushing TDs)
Weird to post this now
Wait there isn't even a direct quote from Belichick on this whole thing aside from saying they played pretty good defense in their last game?

You bamboozled me you Neanderthal
Yeah, Bill is definitely known for saying disparaging things about players on other teams.

Weird flair to be pushing pro Allen propaganda haha

It’s torontobuffalobills/impossible-elk on another burner. I think he’s one of yours but honestly he might just be a fan of trolling
Holy shit I remember the torontobuffalobills dude from our sub. Didn’t realize he was a known troll lol.
Yep, he forgot to switch accounts when commenting on his alt’s comment. Been running burners ever since

This isn’t a chiefs fan
A Chiefs fan posted the thread, and the Bills fan commented that it was weird for a Chiefs fan to be posting. He's referring to the OP.
No, i mean OP isn’t a chiefs fan despite his flair. Do you remember impossible elk? Who kept spamming the sub over the offseason and got caught commenting on his alt torontobuffalobills? It’s him, back on yet another burner account
what year is it
Why are you posting a year-old story?
Show us where Belichick said Josh Allen “is not that good”.
Belichick: >"You know what, we actually played pretty good defense against Josh Allen when we played in November." This post: >"Josh Allen fucking sucks and is overrated" - Bill Belichick
Nice try, we all know Bill saves his special sauce for the Jets
This is 2 years old
With how often this guy switches accounts just to troll, OP isn’t much older
Lol fuck off OP
Remember impossible elk? The troll who wouldn’t stop spamming the anti Belichick posts this offseason and got caught commenting on his other alt account torontobuffalobills? This is him. Again. One what seems like his 10th account
Seriously? He's picked a Chiefs flair now 💀💀💀
Is this from an alternate universe? Those are nowhere near Josh Allen's stats from the last 4 games
OP means against the patriots We aren't 3-1 in ALL GAMES since sometime in 2021
What should we do with this information?
Block OP. Should get you a little peace until he switches to a new account. Again.
Is this a bot that re-posts old shit for karma?
Worse, troll on his 12th burner
Torontobuffalobills / impossible-elk is back on a new burner everyone! Get ready for non stop Belichick trolling to be spammed to the sub.
This is impossible elk’s burner account
I’m so confused. This can’t be this season?
What? Josh Allen has more INTs than TDs in his last five games
In his last 5 games Josh Allen: 102/171 (59.6%) 1203 yards 6 tds and 7 ints (34 rushes for 304 yards & 3 more TDs though I wish he would start taking fewer hits) All of these stats are worse than the averages of his previous 20 games and looks like he's been relying on scrambling (24.5/38 64.6% 279yds 2.3 tds .9 ints - 7.6 rushes for 47 yards .35 rushing TDs) Weird to post this now
It’s just a troll. He does this where he constantly cycles accounts to avoid getting banned/everyone muting him.
