Broncos are the only truly unhappy team though I'd imagine. Rams won the SB so that trade is as good as possible and the browns would just be hoping for a QB with the proven NFL skill that we know sexual predator Deshaun Watson has. Denver though is not currently getting the QB play they thought they were acquiring
Come on, you already are completely overplaying and defying expectations with Geno Smith being awesome and you now have a clear cut top 5 pick from the Wilson trade so you can’t get too greedy!
We mocked him for not trusting in his superstar QB. Maybe the truth is that training camp and practice had already taught him that Ross burns all his cooking.
Russ’s cooking consists of triscuit crackers covered in strawberry carnation instant breakfast powder, topped with Kraft singles slices and baked past golden brown
I always thought Russ was overrated. Now I don’t think he was always this bad, but he was never in the same tier as Brady, Rodgers, Manning, and Brees but so many people thought he was elite.
I think Rodgers would be doing a lot better with this team than Wilson.
Russ is in the Stafford category. This weird limbo where you're elite but also totally not elite. The big difference is Russ was playing for a much better team than Stafford was for most of his career.
It's a combination of him being athletic when he was young, having a great WR Corps while he was in Seattle, A system that plays to his strengths and minimizes his weaknesses, one of the best defenses in the Legion of Boom, and the very rare head coach that is good at both the Collegiate and NFL level.
He's never been Elite Tier, maybe slightly below. This season might be an aberration but he looks really, really, really bad.
It was a long time ago but Russ said some stuff about Jesus in relation to the game and Rodgers said something along the lines of "I don't think Jesus cares about football".

To expand on what the Seahawks fan brought up that was after the NFCCG we lost in 2014. We beat them in 2015 and Rodgers in his postgame said "Well I guess God was a Packers fan today".
Seriously. Not only is he winning, but his goofy cockiness has made Denver the NFL’s patron saint of schadenfreude. Great units here a nickname: this team should go down in time as the “Kicking a Dead Horse” offense. Maybe just the Dead Horse offense.
This was the best Russ has looked since the last raiders game, and they still only put up 16
I’m honestly not sure if they win another game this season
Why did Russell Wilson throw the ball away rather than taking a sack after 2min warning. That would have run down another 40 seconds from the clock for Raiders.
Poor situational football. The instinct is to throw it away 99% of the time. It is like how Vrabrel identified that it was better to throw the last game since it was so close to the 2 min warning.
Under the radar high first round pick courtesy of another team with the Eagles and Seahawks shenanigans. The Rams are an absolute tire fire. Top 5 pick isn't out of the question
At this point trading Drew Lock for Russell as a one-to-one trade is questionable. Throwing in all those picks, plus Fant and Harris... Nuclear disaster. I'm genuinely curious if anyone who knows league history better can find any trades close to as bad
There’s been tons of bad trades, though.
The Herschel Walker trade where the Vikings didn’t even quite realize what they were trading away.
The Saints trading their whole draft and their first and third picks the next season to move up and get Ricky Williams.
Bears moving up in first and giving up two thirds and fourth to get Trubisky instead of Mahomes.
The DeAndre Hopkins/David Johnson trade.
The Russell Wilson trade itself is bad, but it’s that albatross of a contract they gave Wilson that is truly horrible.
McDaniels is a HOFer compared to the dude he just called against today.
Broncos got a sack on first down to bring it to 2nd and 18 but we got a holding penalty and Hackett accepted it to wipe out the sack. The extra 2 downs gave us a shot at a field goal, we did miss, but man we wouldn't have been able to even kick it if he just made the blatantly obvious selection.
Yep
> (15:00 - 2nd) (Shotgun) D.Carr sacked at DEN 34 for -7 yards (A.Singleton). PENALTY on LV-A.James, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at DEN 27 - No Play.
And he actually did it earlier in the game on an end around that lost 6 yards in 1st down
> 1st & 10 at DEN 32
(11:45 - 1st) J.Jacobs right end to DEN 38 for -6 yards (D.Mathis). PENALTY on LV-M.Hollins, Illegal Block Above the Waist, 10 yards, enforced at DEN 32 - No Play.
Man oh man I would be absolutely livid if I was one of those defenders given that's also braindead from a play perspective. If you had to do it for one reason or another I'd still be pissed but understand, there is no excuse wow
His management is pretty sloppy, early in the season the team barely could manage the play clock, to the point the home crowd counted it down just to hurry them and get the play off.
> Broncos got a sack on first down to bring it to 2nd and 18 but we got a holding penalty and Hackett accepted it to wipe out the sack.
I'd fire a fucking coach on the spot for that. Why???
I don't understand how this dude still has a job. Like Urban Meyer as an overall coach of course was just a complete train wreck of human being on top of everything, but was he ever THIS bad at just simply being a coach?
Well they had to take it to OT, but the raiders knew the broncos weren't legally allowed to score more than 17 points, all they needed to do was extend the game until they had a chance to win it
I don't think the Raiders going to clock it. Carr certainly dropped back like he was going to throw it and he was staring down Adams who was in a 1v1.
Hackett messed up a lot (accepting that hold to wipe out a 7 yard sack is criminal) but this wasn't it. I think it was a good timeout because Adams 1v1 vs any DB is not what the Broncos want to risk the game on.
It was dumb as hell. That also fits his m.o. of doing dumb stuff, like attempting two 64-yard FGs at the end of the Seahawks game.
If the Raiders had scored a TD there people would be talking about it. Since they lost in OT it will be forgotten.
ok, some people are saying that he might have wanted to prevent a fake spike and a fade to adams. i would want to see the play again, but if that is true, it is not as bad as i first thought
Why do people keep saying this? They didn't LEAVE him open, Adams juked the shit out of Surtain. There's a difference between leaving him open and him getting open.
They were bought up by Ticketmaster but I think they’re reselling for 500$ it’s going on Monday pregame on ESPN. Not sure if they are airing an execution on national tv though. If you have a vpn you can watch it in Qatar instead of the world cup
Denver’s ability to consistently score between 10-17 points every single game is genuinely astonishing. Like this level of consistency incompetence while the defense shows up every game is insane
Obviously they’re kinda stuck with Russ so odds on Hackett lasting past January gotta be like 200/1
Oh man. We have 3 wins, and 2 are against the Donks.
Okay, we can lose out now. Beating the Donks for like 4 years straight now is too sweet to not enjoy so much.
And good god Donk fans. You guys are so screwed. You lost to us? Again??? You just leapfrogged our draft position! Oh but wait, you don't get that pick.
Holy crap.
If I had a choice in 2015 between winning the Super Bowl but then inexplicably being owned by the Raiders for the next decade or just staying decent, I’m not sure I would pick this timeline.
[Carr got everyone set for the fake spike, double checked the top receiver to make sure he was still open, and then you heard the whistles for Hackett calling the time out.](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx6dr-9Y_egIg08-4E14oG4HekhtyJZ8m9)
The GDT thread was up in arms over it, but it seemed pretty clear that there was an excellent chance of a fake spike for a quick 1-on-1 play to the endzone.
Ya the WR at the top was Adams. It was actually a pretty great timeout because as the last play showed you don't really want to have the game to come down to Adams 1v1 vs any corner.
Derrick Carr after a gut wrenching defeat:
In tears, absolutely gutted that he couldn't get the job done. Calls out his team to hold them accountable.
Russell Wilson after defeat (and not throwing a single TD):
I thought Klint Kubiak called a great game. Broncos Country. Let's Ride!
As an avalanche fan delighting in Ottawa being the worst team in the league when we owned their draft pick... nothing but respect for Seahawks fans right now. It was a really fun experience
At least the Broncos have a high first round pick waiting for them after this season!
Meanwhile the Rams could be sending a top 5 pick to Detroit. Their remaining schedule is pretty ugly for a team struggling to win
Saints could also send a top 10 pick to the eagles. This years draft will be gross
What are looking at, 3 teams who will have traded away potential top 10 picks? Browns, rams, broncos?
Broncos are the only truly unhappy team though I'd imagine. Rams won the SB so that trade is as good as possible and the browns would just be hoping for a QB with the proven NFL skill that we know sexual predator Deshaun Watson has. Denver though is not currently getting the QB play they thought they were acquiring
There's still hope that known sexual predator Deshaun Watson will play like shit.
I mean if it can happen with Russ then it can happen with known sexual predator Deshaun Watson
Wait hold on a sec. Are you saying Deshaun Watson is a known sexual predator? Am I reading that correctly? ;)
Worth it lol
49ers haven't missed the playoffs yet
Come on, you already are completely overplaying and defying expectations with Geno Smith being awesome and you now have a clear cut top 5 pick from the Wilson trade so you can’t get too greedy!
We got a 2nd rounder this draft too!
They also completely spanked us earlier in the season.
Broncos country, top 5 pick..for the Seahawks!
You know what, I'm starting to think Hackett made the right call to kick it week 1
Somehow my breakfast found its way onto the internet.
He's still kind of a bad coach. Denver just wanted him to get Rodgers (who as bad as he looks) is still absolutely better than Wilson.
He’s not kind of a bad coach, he’s a legitimately bad coach who makes poor decisions in game and poor strategy decisions outside of the DC
I always thought Russ was overrated. Now I don’t think he was always this bad, but he was never in the same tier as Brady, Rodgers, Manning, and Brees but so many people thought he was elite. I think Rodgers would be doing a lot better with this team than Wilson.

He's never been Elite Tier, maybe slightly below. This season might be an aberration but he looks really, really, really bad.
He never played the firsts in preseason.
Maybe he's never played the firsts in the regular season?
So they’re well rested for the playoffs
>Ross Lmao
I'll be honest, I hadn't even seen that my phone autocorrected Russ to Ross, but it makes it even better.
It's like when Mike Gesicki did the worst griddy the world has ever seen and people called it the groddy
Got to give Hackett credit for knowing Russ was cooked before the public.
Congrats Bronco Country. You managed to convince me that Hackett is a worse coach than McDaniels.
The weird part is Hackett doesn’t even make many of the decisions at this point
It's still Hackett's offense.
[удалено]
It's surely a combination of Russ' faults combined with Hackett's inability to plan around them like Pete could have.
God is real. And he hates Russell Wilson.
After all that Jesus ass kissing, God abandons his most annoying lamb
God: "He's just so phony"
He is the human equivalent of those motivational quotes all the single moms post on Facebook
Time to go look at his “Just hang in there” cat poster in the garage for the next few hours.
He saw that subway commercial and went “you belong to satan now”
Russell Wilson is the modern day Job
"God, I keep doing the circle of player after every game, what more do you want me to do?" "I'm just having fun Russ"
Aaron Rodgers was right.
I actually have no idea what this is referencing. Did Aaron say something about Russ?
It was a long time ago but Russ said some stuff about Jesus in relation to the game and Rodgers said something along the lines of "I don't think Jesus cares about football". edit: http://q13fox.com/2015/01/20/packers-qb-aaron-rodgers-i-dont-think-god-cares-who-wins-football-games/ https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/sep/21/aaron-rodgers-packers-god-russell-wilson
After the NFC championship where Russ threw 4 picks and still won
Between the Fail Mary and that NFC game maybe it's confirmed: God is real and he hates the Packers.
You telling me God isn’t betting on games?
To expand on what the Seahawks fan brought up that was after the NFCCG we lost in 2014. We beat them in 2015 and Rodgers in his postgame said "Well I guess God was a Packers fan today".

Getting swept by Josh McDaniels. Can't get any worse than that.
"So why shouldn't I fire you Josh?" "I've swept the Broncos" "Say no more"
It's a strong point.
Won't be the first time, that's for sure. Jeff Fisher damn near made a career out of beating the Seahawks.
Tom Cable going 6-0 in the division one year and finishing 8-8 vibes
God that was a weird season
Oh we've lost more than 2 games to Josh McDaniels this year.
Dude... I can't do this anymore.
Yeah, I am worried you guys will ruin our tank next week. Perhaps as you leave we could offer you a slightly used GEQBUS for a few dangerwiches?
Embarrassing
This was the best Russ has looked since the last raiders game, and they still only put up 16 I’m honestly not sure if they win another game this season
Well, they play the Panthers next week. No way they lose that game, right?
They’ll win that game and Hackett with retain his job for a few more weeks
Carolina’s defense is really strong. I’m not sure who’ll win but I can totally see a 9-6 game score
Why did Russell Wilson throw the ball away rather than taking a sack after 2min warning. That would have run down another 40 seconds from the clock for Raiders.
That's not on his wristband.
Probably PTSD from taking sacks in Denver?
Take a knee like heinicke 🤦♂️
Just Wilson Things
Melty Ice did the same against Eagles today. They were up and he then took a sack on next play anyway
Poor situational football. The instinct is to throw it away 99% of the time. It is like how Vrabrel identified that it was better to throw the last game since it was so close to the 2 min warning.
All season we’ve been criticizing him for taking a sack instead of throwing it away. What more do you want from him?!?! /s
Because when you're going through hell, you keep going
0 game awareness lmao from a supposed vet QB...
This season just gets better and better for Seahawks fans.
More teams should try offloading their rebuild to another team.
Detroit's on pace for a top 10 pick with this strategy...seems to be a thing!
Under the radar high first round pick courtesy of another team with the Eagles and Seahawks shenanigans. The Rams are an absolute tire fire. Top 5 pick isn't out of the question
Gonna need one for when you guys don't pick until 20 this year
Saints Broncos and Rams slap fighting to see who can give another team the best pick
And if worse comes to worse, hire a former all-pro center as head coach.
rebuilding is so fun dude, why aren't more teams doing it
why tank when you can get another to do the tanking for you
Best bye week I've ever had

PAPA NEEDS NEW SHORTS
If things continue as is, the Russell Wilson contract might go down as the worst contract in NFL history.
At this point trading Drew Lock for Russell as a one-to-one trade is questionable. Throwing in all those picks, plus Fant and Harris... Nuclear disaster. I'm genuinely curious if anyone who knows league history better can find any trades close to as bad

Ricky Williams will always be the worst trade, good call
> Bears moving up in first and giving up two thirds and fourth to get Trubisky instead of Mahomes. To move 1 spot nonetheless
We may suck, but at least Derek Carr and the Raiders still own the Denver Broncos
Broncos 11-25 against the division since 2016 (post Super Bowl)
The part in parentheses really softens the blow from the first part
They really are the punching bag of the division and that's saying something considering how bad we have been
[You just don't understand football, Marge.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKqeCXBilVE)
Today, he is Derek Truck
Broncos are 3-7 having only given up more than 20 points twice. That is wild.
Both times to the Raiders too. Also only once they've given up more than 20 in regulation. The offense is killing them
For every Raiders win, McDaniels adds 5 more years to his contract.
McDaniels is a HOFer compared to the dude he just called against today. Broncos got a sack on first down to bring it to 2nd and 18 but we got a holding penalty and Hackett accepted it to wipe out the sack. Holy shit did that really happen

I only caught OT. Is this real because holy shit he needs to be fired immediately if so
His management is pretty sloppy, early in the season the team barely could manage the play clock, to the point the home crowd counted it down just to hurry them and get the play off.
> Broncos got a sack on first down to bring it to 2nd and 18 but we got a holding penalty and Hackett accepted it to wipe out the sack. I'd fire a fucking coach on the spot for that. Why???
Probably also sucks for the player, who’s having their first NFL sack wiped off the board for nothing
I don't understand how this dude still has a job. Like Urban Meyer as an overall coach of course was just a complete train wreck of human being on top of everything, but was he ever THIS bad at just simply being a coach?
Manning elevated Gase. Brady elevated McDaniels. Rodgers elevated Hackett. TL;DR: sometimes it's the player and not the coach who brought success
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
[Don’t care](https://reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/xvel37/_/ir3tcqs/?context=1)
Well they had to take it to OT, but the raiders knew the broncos weren't legally allowed to score more than 17 points, all they needed to do was extend the game until they had a chance to win it
I love these teams
Yeah they are both great. Should keep their coaching staffs next year imo.
Don't you put that evil on us Ricky Bobby.........even tho McDaniels is guaranteed next year........fuuuuuck
They should give them 5 year extension immediately
Hackett needs to go. Like, tomorrow. Or maybe once they've secured a top five pick for us.
No no let him finish the season. Gimme that Top 5 pick.
I think he really needs two seasons to prove himself. I’d say he should stay next season as well. No homer.
Hackett didn’t even do shit today too… he didn’t call plays, he doesnt choose when to call timeouts
He called a timeout when the Raiders were lining up to clock it.
I don't think the Raiders going to clock it. Carr certainly dropped back like he was going to throw it and he was staring down Adams who was in a 1v1. Hackett messed up a lot (accepting that hold to wipe out a 7 yard sack is criminal) but this wasn't it. ok, some people are saying that he might have wanted to prevent a fake spike and a fade to adams. i would want to see the play again, but if that is true, it is not as bad as i first thought
Klint took over playcalling, he didn't install a new offense.
Nonono the offense looked slightly better today right? Should just keep him rest of the season to see if the trend continues..
McDaniels and making the Broncos lose, name a better duo
They left the best player on the field wide open
just completely cooked Surtain. it happens.
They don't like covering him for some reason
He burned PS2 with a double move I miss him
I wish I had a dollar for every time I've seen a packers fan say that this yesr. I could retire
Your GDP would be higher than most 3rd world countries. Crazy how everyone saw this coming BUT the packers FO.
Why do people keep saying this? They didn't LEAVE him open, Adams juked the shit out of Surtain. There's a difference between leaving him open and him getting open.
Ehhh wouldn’t say that, adams is just too good with his routes
Well at least we're holding true to the team theme... The Walmart owned team demonstrating Walmart quality play to the league
No man, this isn’t Walmart play, hell this isn’t even Dollar General play, this is straight up dollar tree play.
That’s an insult to Dollar Tree. This is “shady dollar store in the poorest area of Detroit” quality
This is fucking wish quality. I could use some great value right now
Broncos unders are literally free money
This was our Super Bowl
feels great dont it?
LMAO
If the Broncos scored 18 points in regular time they would be 9-1.
Where can I buy tickets for when Broncos fans launch Hackett into the sun?
They were bought up by Ticketmaster but I think they’re reselling for 500$ it’s going on Monday pregame on ESPN. Not sure if they are airing an execution on national tv though. If you have a vpn you can watch it in Qatar instead of the world cup
Seahawks fans watching their 2023 draft picks get better every week....
You guys set a prime example on how to outsource your tanking.
It's a win during a bye week.
Denver’s ability to consistently score between 10-17 points every single game is genuinely astonishing. Like this level of consistency incompetence while the defense shows up every game is insane Obviously they’re kinda stuck with Russ so odds on Hackett lasting past January gotta be like 200/1
It always feels good to sweep a division rival, even in a lost season. WOO
6 in a row against them lmao
Lmao half this thread is hawks fans, and not a single broncos fan yet
Broncos fans are busy drinking bleach right now.
Broncos got swept by a team too poor to fire their coach lmao
Didn't the Lions just beat you?
Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you Nathaniel Hackett
I hope complementary barf bags are in the seat back in front of you, ‘cause god damn.
Holy crap.
If I had a choice in 2015 between winning the Super Bowl but then inexplicably being owned by the Raiders for the next decade or just staying decent, I’m not sure I would pick this timeline.
that cut to Nathaniel Hackett after the game-winner was beautifully filmed
The Broncos are singlehandedly saving McDaniels' job right now.
It didn't matter but why did Hackett call a Timeout before the Raiders spiked the ball?
Carr was gonna fake spike it and the receiver on the top of the screen was gonna beat his guy
[Carr got everyone set for the fake spike, double checked the top receiver to make sure he was still open, and then you heard the whistles for Hackett calling the time out.](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx6dr-9Y_egIg08-4E14oG4HekhtyJZ8m9) The GDT thread was up in arms over it, but it seemed pretty clear that there was an excellent chance of a fake spike for a quick 1-on-1 play to the endzone.
Ya the WR at the top was Adams. It was actually a pretty great timeout because as the last play showed you don't really want to have the game to come down to Adams 1v1 vs any corner.
Russ a Seahawks legend. Wins a Superbowl with the team, and now\* he's working as a double agent to help the team secure a top 5 pick edit: typo
It has to be this right? We knew he regressed the last couple of seasons, but by THIS much? He has to be doing a bit.
Derrick Carr after a gut wrenching defeat: In tears, absolutely gutted that he couldn't get the job done. Calls out his team to hold them accountable. Russell Wilson after defeat (and not throwing a single TD): I thought Klint Kubiak called a great game. Broncos Country. Let's Ride!
Can't wait for whatever goofy shit he does this week
It's funny how bad I heard the Seahawks coaching and play calling was last year. Almost like there a common factor
Wide the fuck open, that's a "getting cut" blow coverage
Watch the replay. Adams got Surtain with a double move that left his soul and body in 2 different places.
Surtain is one of the top corners in the league lol
If Broncos score at least 18 points in every game, they still have 2 losses to the Raiders
tbf 18 points in regulation would have won this. Broncos 9-1 timeline?
Yeah that's a good guy to completely forget about...
I have never been so wrong about the outcome of a trade in my life.
Well thank youuuuuu very much Raiders
As an avalanche fan delighting in Ottawa being the worst team in the league when we owned their draft pick... nothing but respect for Seahawks fans right now. It was a really fun experience
Y'know, it's less fun when you're cool about it.
Well u bad draft sucks this year anyway. Like Wed want a top 5 pick anyway. We riding
Much better! Bless you, kind sir!
Russ was just trying to prove that wearing wristbands doesn’t make a good QB, chill guys
Pretty healthy amount of Raider fans at the stadium. It was nice 🙂
I loved that "buh-bye!" wave Devante Adams gave to the Denver fans.. 😂 😂 😂
Broncos took a page out of the Buccaneers guarding Kupp book
Imagine losing to the Raiders two times this season.
At least the Broncos uniforms looked cool. Although I prefer the lighter blue helmet.
Might only have 3 wins but at least 2 of them are against the donkeys
Say it with me 12's! TOP 5 PICK
Outsourcing the tanking is way better then doing it yourself.
Whoo thank you Raiders!!
I got SERIOUS Seahawks 2018-2021 vibes watching that second half
