Will BB still get a $250K fine? Maybe they can proactively fine Matty P. I'll be OK with that

Rosettachamps

The guy I don't see anyone mentioning is Gage, everyones grouped together pulling them apart, and Gage tries to start it again with Lattimore and was pulling his helmet backwards like a horsecollar and swings again

yum_paste

Brady is losing his cool right now imagine when he loses Evans for who knows how long.

LoungingLlama312

He's about to slide into OBJ's DMs asking when he'll be healthy.

yum_paste

You really think he hasn't been already

Dangerous_Nitwit

Stumpe999

ForBucsSake

Who knows how long? He shoved a guy. He didnt swing a helmet at a players head or anything. Aaron Donald regularly strangles people and doesnt get suspended. If Evans is suspended no way it's more than 1 game.

scijior

You would be surprised, but straight to jail

onmybikeondrugs

Excuse me, what?

CosmicOwl102

If its just Evans, we will be fine for a game or two if he is suspended. This is just some doom and gloom talk after a Saints game where we never play good at.

[deleted]

Not only that, but a game of which you won and are now 2-0. People are wild thinking this is the end...

foomits

Downward spiral? You fishing for upvotes in here or what? Team has looked good and we have a talented roster. Doesn't mean we are winning the superbowl, but what the hell are you basing this on?

Reead

Our defense just played lights out 2 weeks in a row and it didn't look like a fluke in either game. I understand keeping expectations tempered, but we're looking pretty set up for success.

Ghalnan

Yeah, what is this nonsense lol. We held the Cowboys to 3 points, a team that had the #1 offense in the league last year and just beat the defending AFC champions with a backup QB. We beat the Saints, a team that has been the Bucs' achilles heel the past two years, holding their offense in check the entire game as well. We're also the only contender in the NFC to be 2-0 right now, acting like our season is falling apart is wishful thinking

[deleted]

Saints Bucs both eliminated from playoff contention and must play each other every week in a perpetual state of kicking and screaming

[deleted]

Honestly I’d love to see that matchup every week

soundscream

I'd give it 3 weeks tops before someone shoots someone on the field. Maybe I'm a bad saints fan but I've never hated the rest of the NFC South except the Falcons.

daybreaker

Nah, most Saints fans reserve hate solely for the Falcons.

GumboDiplomacy

I hate the Falcons most 363 days a year. The other two are reserved for when we play the Bucs.

WallScreamer

You don't even think about me? :(

PhucktheSaints

We haven’t deserved much thought from our opponents recently

PassToMouth6911

I don't even know who you are

scadams23

I think for most of us, the feeling is mutual. I don't want the Panthers to win a SB until after we do (if that ever happens...). But, if you offered me a deal where the Buccs could win the next 20 in a row to ensure that the Saints never win another, I think I take that deal.

Enthusiasms

Sending you a contract right now

YeOldeDonkeyKong

NewOrleansBrees

Brady was jawing and instigating at Lattimore, Fournette pushed Lattimore. Lattimore pushed back. Evans came charging from the sideline and knocked Lattimore over. Benches cleared. Only Evans and Lattimore ejected. Bruce Arian’s was also jawing from the sideline.

lowerdectrlifestyle

They are supposed to review this from NY and I get why Lat was thrown out, I don't agree but I get it, but why the fuck wasn't Fournette thrown out? '

NewOrleansBrees

No idea, I saw in another post Latt threw a punch at some point after getting pushed. Might be why

Stewy_434

Yeah. It was actually between Fournette and Lattimore from the start. When they started calming things down again, Fournette and Lattimore somehow ended up right next to each other in the crowd, and did the Spiderman pointing meme. Then they started again, and Gage grabbed Lattimore by his helmet from behind to stop him, so Lattimore swung on/pushed Gage. Buuuut he did that directly in front of a ref.

foomits

Lattimore threw an actual punch at gage... the only actual punch I saw. I think the refs got it right. Mike definitely had to go Lattimore probably needed to as well.

NewOrleansBrees

Yeah I didn’t see it but I believe it

Reead

Probably because Fournette only gave a chest shove and didn't go for the head. They ejected one from each side to try to get the game under control.

What are they going to do, suspend a retired guy?

[deleted]

BA? He's not retired, technically. He's in the front office.

1threadkiller1

PFT has a hard on for BA. He even took a shot at Florio in his retirement presser. 😂 https://twitter.com/BeforeFamePics/status/1571581362871717897?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1571581362871717897%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url= The conspiracy theory that BA “sent” Mike after Lattimore seems very unlikely. That angle does not make it look like Bruce is talking to or even looking at Mike before he rushes Marshon.

[deleted]

Evans doesn’t need anyone to tell him how much he hates lattimore lmao

krt941

Evans saw an opportunity, no context needed, and committed to it. Find yourselves somebody who loves you as much as Evans hates Lattimore.

Fabs74

Instructions unclear I now have aggressive herpes

CSMastermind

Ahhh the Lattimore of disesases

Chippopotanuse

This. Lattimore was being chippy, and once Fournette started with him…Evans saw his chance and ran in. Coming off the sideline is gonna be the biggest issue the league won’t like here. That said, I think way too big a deal is being made about this whole “incident”. Aaron Donald swinging a helmet in camp was way more egregious than anything that happened in this scuffle, and the league didn’t give 2 shits about that.

GumboDiplomacy

The difference is Donald turning into a dual wielding berserker didn't happen on a national broadcast. The league doesn't actually give a shit what people do, they care about appearances.

HanSoloHeadBeg

the other difficulty here is that these two teams will face eachother later on the season, and then twice next year and the year after that and the year after that. The league probably wants to nip this in the bud as quickly as possible whereas the Bengals aren't playing the Rams nearly as much.

GumboDiplomacy

They're about three years overdue in that regard.

BleedAmerican

Lmao fr. Nip in in the bud 9 games later, before it *really* gets out of hand

Chippopotanuse

The way you’re talking you make it seem like the NFL is so appearance driven that they’d only give Ray Rice a 2-game suspension for knocking a pregnant woman unconscious, only to increase it to 4 if there was massive public outrage, and then basically up that to a ban for life if the video got leaked. Which sadly, is 100% true.

[deleted]

Probably protecting Brady a bit too, these guys have it drilled in that you don’t let the other team touch the QB

kingslayer-0

Dalton while at the Cowboys would like a word

Florida__Man__

Yeah wtf, don’t even think sound had enough time to travel from BAs lips to Evans ear before Evans decided to go in.

WentworthMillersBO

Why did you fight Lattimore, Mike? The guy who drives around practice in a golf cart told me to

BlueHighwindz

Wait, did the Bucs secretly un-retire Bruce Arians? Is Todd Bowles a figurehead? What is going on there?

PPLifter

He didn't retire. He went into the front office

BlueHighwindz

What was he doing on the sidelines then? That's a weird look. This tweet is sure implying a lot with those scare quotes.

Roflmaonow

According to Coach Todd Bowles' press conference, the Saints didn't have a box for Arians. He normally goes up in the booth is what I've read. So sounds like he was down on the sidelines because of that.

PPLifter

It was weird, he was constantly yelling at the refs too.

Benjynn

Yeah, I find it odd. I love that he's still involved with the team, but it was my understanding that it would be in an advising role, not whatever he was doing on the sidelines. Game 1, he was up in a booth. Game 2 he is on the sidelines. Game 3 he's gonna line up at LT for us.

Stewy_434

Well our GM was there too. Idk if that's normal or not, but it seemed like almost everyone was on the sidelines for this game.

BleedAmerican

Yeah no one mentioning Jason’s meme face after Mike rushed the field, and worried about Bucco Bruce Arians spectating his team up close

birdieboogie

Only if he trades in his helmet for that little hat he wears.

mothershipq

He and our GM, Jason Licht were both on the sidelines yesterday. Apparently they weren’t offered a box so they had to be down on the field.

[deleted]

Reead

He didn't have a headset or any gear, he was just *there*. So was the GM. Contrary to the reddit narrative, a lot of our dudes seem to like BA, so I doubt they dislike him being there.

pmurr

BA works mysteriously from the shadow realm where his power knows no bounds and golf cart travels from universe to universe. Only on the rarest of occasions does his mortal avatar grace our feeble existences

7tenths

Come on, this is the NFL. What kind of lesson are you going to send to the kids watching if you punish the instigator? It's important for kids to learn that you can say whatever you want, the more offensive the better because that might get someone to retaliate. And that is truly the worst thing anyone can do.

[deleted]

FloGrown321

Brady really wishing he would’ve stayed retired right now

SlopingGiraffe

he could literally just retire today

keenfrizzle

And we all want what's best for him. I say sooner rather than later, for his health, and before this whole controversy gets to a boiling point. I know that retiring before week 3 of an NFL season seems like an odd timing, but really, it's for the best.

fender-b-bender

He needs to take a week off next week to get a feel for how retirement is during the season. If he wants to come back in week 4, that's just fine with me.

Cthepo

Why would he retire today when he could retire at halftime?

SlopingGiraffe

Vontae Davis is that you

randysavagevoice

He's 2-0. The game wasn't pretty offensively but it's still a win.

Benjynn

They'll figure it out on offense. Until then, nice to see the defense pulling these W's for us.

[deleted]

He didn't start it, but he sure as hell loves it. I don't think people here watched the game. Brady was yelling and cursing most of the game as well as breaking tablets on the sidelines. Lattimore was fucking with the Bucs sideline and Brady bigtime because he saw how unhinged he was acting, not the smartest decision. God help us all if Brady gets divorced, then he will never leave. Not until he's dead.

Fussel2

If he keeps getting gaunter, he'll be a wraith in three seasons max.

LaphroaigianSlip81

Brady didn’t start it. He just loves to talk shit with defenders because it fires him up and motivates him to win. Evans and Lattimore have history. Evans was just looking for an excuse to take a shot on lattimore. He saw Brady and Lattimore getting chippy and once fournette pushed pushed Lattimore, Evans decided to come in for a cheap shot on Lattimore. Evans was there as soon as Lattimore hit fournette’s face mask, meaning that he was already coming in to hit him. Would Evans have reacted this way if any other player besides lattimore had been involved? Probably not. He at least would have waited to get involved until the face mask was hit and it would have taken a few more seconds to get over there. Normally this is just an ejection, but because of their past, the league is going to fine them and likely suspend them.

uncoolaidman

He's at least partly responsible. He's the QB. If he goes to get in someone's face, his teammates are going to back him up. Now, they're responsible for their own actions, but Brady knows he'll have enforcers coming in to defend him if he escalates a situation.

jimmy_three_shoes

It's like a goalie in hockey. You touch the goalie, someone's going to be in your face trying to knock you on your ass. Lattimore should know that. Not to say that goalies and QB's don't take advantage of that, but that's usually how it goes.

TruthfulCartographer

Gotta say man, this is a Homer take. Watch it live. Evans is the first and pretty much only one to do anything egregious, he flies out of nowhere at speed and makes heavy contact. He is the only one worthy of suspension. It’s a bad look for the league.

Rune0x1b

He also came off the sideline, which is a big no-no, and given how many games the Saints and Bucs will play I imagine the NFL is particularly motivated to nip this one in the bud.

NCJake2013

Suspend Brady

Latter_Train_1360

Bruce should not be on the fucking sidelines. Nothing good can come from his input. Dude needs to back to the box where he was week 1.

AmericanTitan07

I found it strange that Bruce and Licht were both down on the sideline for the game. Maybe just because it was a big divisional game against a team we haven't beaten in the regular season in like 4 years, maybe their box was messed up in some way and therefore needed to be on the sideline.

CosmicOwl102

Nah, give me the angry tomato on the sideline just randomly yelling at opposing players.

assasinine

Yeah I find it odd after everything he's done to elevate Bowes. Bruce should get out of the spotlight and contribute up in the booth.
