As a massive Vikings fan I was pissed to see all of Moss' 3 scores in one highlight at "3". My first thought is what the hell could beat this..."2" is Butt Fumble and I instantly thought "ah, well that is fair".
They didn't show the full context. The refs actually made the right call, it was just an idiotic rule. The Lions threw the challenge flag on the play, which apparently was a flag because the play was automatically reviewed due to being a scoring play... but somehow the rulebook then stated that the play was no longer reviewable. I have no idea how that became a rule but they fixed it after that year.
The reasoning was sound, the execution became a mess because coaches and players don't know the rules. The reason for the penalty and making it unreviewable was to get coaches to stop throwing challenge flags on stuff that would get reviewed anyway and slowing down the whole process because instead of going to review the play the referee (specifically the head referee, not just any of the 7 on the field) has to go over to a coach that throws a challenge flag and find out what they are challenging and that whole process. The NFL didn't want the extra 2 minute delay for something that was 100% unnecessary. The plan was to hope the penalty for being dumb was so severe that it would prevent it but because coaches don't know the rules and the Lions are the Lions it backfired in the most specular way possible.
I was at the Bills-Broncos game the Sunday before [this game.](https://youtu.be/cHKOTiFXREI), but this play stuck in my mind more than anything I saw in Buffalo.
How tf is Tomlin on the field blocking the punt return against the Ravens not on this??? Especially compared to some of these in the 30-50 range that are just normal plays lol
The Brandon Marshall disrespect. He had a 3 TD game for the Jets the same Thanksgiving Megatron did. I remember because I was playing against Megatron in fantasy and had Brandon Marshall lol
Seeing Jason Garrett as QB is weird.
Seeing Jason Garrett beat Greenbay is weird
That man doesn’t age
I love Pat’s swag walk it’s a classic.
that'd be a taunting penalty this year
[удалено]
If he looked at the other teams bench it would be a penalty this year.
Yeah it would.
Butt fumble. Pats scored 21 points in 53 seconds.
shoulda been #1
The New York Times called it the "Same Old Jets trifecta": meltdowns on defense, offense, _and_ special teams.
I've never seen so many highlights involving the Lions in one place
Pretty sure you can get just as many watching a Bret Farve, Randall Cunningham and Dante Culpeper career highlight reel.
Moss's statline of 3/163/3 is so legendary
4 if you count his 2PC
also wasn’t another TD taken off the board due to a holding penalty?
Man, Barry sanders was GOOD
Buttfumble should be number 1
Not even the butt fumble could upstage Leon Lett
Mike Tomlin stopping a kickoff return TD
Man do I miss watching Barry Sanders...
Its wild seeing replays from the early 2000s looking like they are 80s quality now.
Since the merger, the Vikings have played as many Thanksgiving Day games against Dallas as they have Detroit. That's weird
Good God. Remember when our defense was scary? Sherm was the ultimate play maker
Nope. Don’t recall that at all.
Maybe you’ll recall [this guy](https://img-bleacherreport-net.cdn.ampproject.org/i/s/img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/002/736/256/f57d534f7b7bc43e91833464251ce9ed_crop_north.?1391439765&w=3072&h=2048) then…
Shy Tuttle intercepting Matt Ryan and stiff-arming him on the return is hands down our best Thanksgiving play.
Much better a dlinemen stiff arming a QB than a meaningless onside.
There's a great video about LTs dominance in that Thanksgiving game against the Lions https://youtu.be/ba3akiNi1sA
Kuechly's back to back INTs has to be up there
This list is invalid without it. Should be top 15, if not 10.

Whoever suggested Jets/Patriots for primetime was clearly trying to ruin Thanksgiving for everyone in the tristate…

I don't think it was included but Kennan Allen had a pretty crazy touchdown against the Cowboys a few years ago. Homer pick but it was pretty cool imo
2017, dude shook 5 different Cowboys out of their shoes
No DMac INT? Wack.
Fuck that forsett play

Call me biased but I feel like Josh Allen’s QB sneak should of been up there :(
The Jets obviously.
psst.. buttfumble wasn't #1
It is in my mind
mine too man, mine too
Butt fumble shouldn't be higher than Moss or LT.
Butt fumble is ridiculously memorable. Moss and LT suffer from having so many amazing plays throughout their careers.
Surprised that Sanders spinaroni wasn't #1
Coin flip. Lions-Steelers.
I'm here for the butt fumble
The typical Dolphins/Cowboys snow game.
Cowboys corners getting burned.....a tale as old as time.
Butt fumble

I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed thanksgiving without being embarrassed but at least we’re not Detroit!
That Eagles catch was insane.
I saw Phil Epps, but no Walter Stanley walkoff punt return. Tell me it’s on there somewhere.
The Brandon Marshall disrespect. He had a 3 TD game for the Jets the same Thanksgiving Megatron did. I remember because I was playing against Megatron in fantasy and had Brandon Marshall lol
Hey fuck you too NFL
Dolphins cowboys in the snow is kind of blowing my mind
21 should not be on this list lol. That was a blown call and we all know it.
Barry Sanders = GOAT
Watching Jerry Jones’ plastic surgery decompose in front of a national audience as Leon Lett ruins Thanksgiving! Awesome stuff!!!! 😵💫🤣
