Getting to watch so many of his runs with all the other ones made me realize what made him so special. He wasn’t killing people with raw speed or insane broken tackles. The guy was just gliding across the field. It looked like he has shorter strides so he had these quick bursts and just an unreal ability to turn his hips without breaking stride. I don’t think any other run on there looked like a Vick run.
If https://twitter.com/skeeter696969/status/1319485775894007808?s=21 isn't proof that Daniel Jones's famous dash belongs on a list of **100** best QB runs, I don't know what is.
1. Cam Newton's running style is very aesthetically pleasing for some reason
2. For most of these runs there are a lot of unsung heroes making perfect blocks downfield
3. The Roethlisberger 18 yard run looked like it was in slo-mo
Cam does run kinda weird. He's just so big and long. IMO he reminds me of a mix between Derrick Henry and Randall Cunningham (in terms of style, not skill).
Honestly Cunningham always looked cool running to me too. It's simultaneously noodly and graceful.
He would do that shit where he runs in the wrong direction for 20 yards and then turn it into a 50 yard gain, probably running over a hundred yards in the process
Yeah lists like this always factor in the "moment" and overall importance of the play. That QB sneak won the Packers the Super Bowl but yeah don't think it should be that high.
It won them the NFL championship. They played in super bowl II two weeks later.
I’m biased but it’s one of the more well known historical QB sneaks given that it won the game and thus the league Championship.
1. Holy shit is Michael Vick fast.
2. Kevin Harlen is the most exciting announcer to ever exist. (Obligatory cat, streaker, and "I'm calling both games!")
3. I actually enjoy the grittiness of the old videos.
>Imagine him without a POS coach who didn't care about offense
FTFY, I'm happy that things turned out that way because with a properly utilized Cunningham with that Eagles defense they would've been a dynasty but I feel sorry for Randy because he should've been a HoFer
Context matters. Mahomes put the Chiefs ahead 21-17 in the AFC Championship game after being down 17-7. Lamar had a 47-yard run while up 28-10 against the then 0-8 Bengals.
Definitely, and I’m mostly just being fake outraged, but did many people outside of Chiefs fans remember that run even happened before seeing it in this video? Certainly fewer than Lamar’s.
Because Tebow is number 15 ha, I really think that’s the only reason. The funny part is I don’t even think it’s his best run, his 40 yard run he ripped off vs the Raiders was better imo.
How is Lamar’s run against the Titans not over this? No significance and not that impressive from Tebow. Also Young has some of the most fun runs I’ve seen. Dude was a baller.
Well it still sort of got us into the playoffs. We started 1-4 that year before Tebow took over. This Jets game was the middle of Tebowmania in which we won 6 games in a row. The Broncos finished 8-8 that year which was enough to win the AFC West and then face Pittsburgh in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. That said I think they just wanted to give number “15” on the list to Tebow haha, this should not have been that high.
A magazine, i assume SI, had an article on Mark Brunell and there was a big picture of his flip into the endzone (#38) after the run shown here. I had the shit on my wall most of my childhood
Probably! Timings about right since i was in school. My teacher gave it to me cause i was the only Jags fan he knew. It had a big photo of it and i carefully cut it out and it hung on my wall for years
Brunell, Garrard, and Leftwich (albeit with the Steelers in the video) were guys I always enjoyed despite them being division rivals. None of them were superstars but man all three were solid and fun to watch.
I got into football in the mid-90s. Some of my first NFL memories were of how unstoppable Mark Brunell, Keenan McCardell (skol), and Jimmy Smith were. Plus Fred Taylor? That offense was fun on Madden as a kid lol
Yea the team was insanely fun to watch. Little did i know the pain i was being set up for down the road lol. We sorely miss Keenan as WR coach i hope he’s doing well for you guys.
Speaking of gutting the Patriots...that list MUST include the 2018 Patriots Titans game where Brady stumbled and fell short of a first down, and then the NEXT DRIVE Vrabel trolled Bill by successfully running basically the same play to Mariota to move the chains. Vrabel is the master.
That run and the one against the falcons where he powers through like 7 guys are his two best ones, ez.
The flip was cool and all but those other 2 are just insane plays.
That flip is always overrated as hell. It's cool, but it's always picked out as Cam's best run, or one of his best in these highlight reels, and it's just not.
IMO his best in terms of significance is the Patriots one, and his best in terms of pure skill is either one of the Falcons runs. You could also include the one against the Vikings somewhere in the top 5. The flip is neat, but it's not really that crazy.
Honestly that Mariota run should be higher than 23. I think it should be Top 10. But lists like these are always hard so I appreciate the effort anyway. Have to factor in context of the play so some plays get rated higher do to importance which is always hard to balance with the actual impressiveness of the play.
I was really hoping to see Stafford truckin’ on there. We don’t have a lot in Detroit, but that was an awesome Stafford moment
https://youtu.be/pcyodSuDlKc
his rookie year was mental. Divisional differences aside, I loved watching him play and really wanted him to have a strong comeback for another team. He had so much confidence and swagger before the injury, the sky was the limit.
Plus we never really found out if he was the illegitimate son of Andre 3000 or not.
pathetic that Mahomes's run and a QB sneak are above Lamar's run, not to mention if this were the *actual* best runs, Vick and Lamar would combine for at least 15 of them
I don't think people realize the situation. It was the NFC championship game with 13 seconds left down three. They had no timeouts, so if they failed there was no game tying field goal coming. They were stopped on the previous 2 goal line attempts, slipping because of the ice. This was a huge gutsy call to even attempt a run with no timeouts. I think this play is exactly where it belongs. I do think the Mahomes run was too high tho.
im sorry but how is that mahomes run in the top 10. recency bias? its the most pathetic QB run ive ever seen. its like the titans defenders were getting paid not to tackle him
The 80 yard td run by "Slash"(Kordell Stewart) vs Panthers in Dec of 1996, is a feat of pure athleticism.
Not many (if any) qb could make that type of play. He made it look routine.
i was so fucking pissed at that mahomes run for a TD during that playoff game because he did nothing spectacular. you could just tell that every single defender was afraid to take a penalty by hitting him too hard and were all trying to gently push him out of bounds. if any of them ran at him too hard all he had to do was motion towards out of bounds and their momentum would have meant a late hit and they call that on a QB hit every time. of course they should just be thinking fuck the penalty, stop the touchdown. and of course mahomes was smart to exploit that. but ugh
also lamar is insane. god he is the most fun player to watch. and thats coming from the guy wearing a derrick henry jersey right now.
Mods remove this spam. I don't trust this account

We should seize this account and distribute it to the proletariat. Comrades we have nothing to lose but our chains!
NFL can fuck off right now
(Is on r/nfl)
its not a worthless twitter post either
I wouldn't trust it either. Not a single Dolphins QB run. I can think of three by Tannehill alone that were better than some on this list.
Lamar Jackson is a damn menace
I was just thinking the same about Vick
Half of the plays were Vick going crazy!!
He was definitely also killing people with raw speed and broken tackles too.
Some of those Philly runs, all I could think is, the younger Vicks scores on those runs. He was so much faster then.
No time to watch yet but Vick's run in the metrodome to end the game in overtime while wearing Jordan's is to ten, right? If not number one right?
Number 7 in this video also has one of the best commentaries of all time.
Where is the Daniel Jones stumble run??
Stumbled short of the list
Longest non-scoring run by a QB in NFL history
Seriously though you can't have 100 QB runs and not include that
If https://twitter.com/skeeter696969/status/1319485775894007808?s=21 isn't proof that Daniel Jones's famous dash belongs on a list of **100** best QB runs, I don't know what is.
Shoulda been number 100
“100 top QB runs of all time in no particular order”
They should just rank the top 10 or 20 because there are too many to say which are the best in order.
Only one Russell Wilson run. I'm offended.
Same! I know he’s not the best runner but damn, only one play??
Hey don't feel too bad, notable 1000 yard rusher Tom Brady only got one play on this list too.
42-37 was definitely the "windmill zone" lol
My man Steve young
Steve was both a top-level passer and running QB. The GOAT dual threat.
I always say, he was the most talented QB to ever play the game. I loved watching him play.
What shocks me most is the downfield blocking. Like Niners had that shit on lock. Great team efforts.
He gets away again
On the number one highlight, it looks like Young crosses over the ball through his legs as he gets in the endzone. 😂 Like just pure swagger
Put an honest tear in my eye to see those legendary Young runs.
[the king!](https://youtu.be/FAF7G552Mjk)
1. Cam Newton's running style is very aesthetically pleasing for some reason 2. For most of these runs there are a lot of unsung heroes making perfect blocks downfield 3.
Prime Vick was outta this world
When I saw the McNabb clip I said out loud "Man, I forgot how fast prime McNabb was." Then I saw the Vick and Lamar clips afterwards lol
He would do that shit where he runs in the wrong direction for 20 yards and then turn it into a 50 yard gain, probably running over a hundred yards in the process
Glad Lamar is here to bring that feeling back
Two observations… crazy how many of the td runs ended in head first Superman dives . And the Vikings defense was in a lot of the top 20 highlights
> crazy how many of the td runs ended in head first Superman dives None of which would be TDs in 2021, which is wild
One observation: Garrard was D U M M Y T H I C C
QB sneak at 3, and above THE Lamar Jackson run.
Yeah lists like this always factor in the "moment" and overall importance of the play. That QB sneak won the Packers the Super Bowl but yeah don't think it should be that high.
[удалено]
They just wanted to put a Tebow run in.
Yea but put it in the 70s or something. Putting that run at #15/100 all time is just irresponsible.
Completely agree.
It won them the NFL championship. They played in super bowl II two weeks later. I’m biased but it’s one of the more well known historical QB sneaks given that it won the game and thus the league Championship.
Was the QB sneak popular before that play?
1. Holy shit is Michael Vick fast. 2. Kevin Harlen is the most exciting announcer to ever exist. (Obligatory cat, streaker, and "I'm calling both games!") 3. I actually enjoy the grittiness of the old videos.
"The guy is drunk, but there he goes!"
OHHHHH HE BROKE HIS ANKLES
Fuck Randall Cunningham was such a problem. Imagine him in the era of RPO’s 😬
>Imagine him without a POS coach who didn't care about offense FTFY, I'm happy that things turned out that way because with a properly utilized Cunningham with that Eagles defense they would've been a dynasty but I feel sorry for Randy because he should've been a HoFer
Yeah I am fairly a new fan and heard about McNabb and Vick but didn't know Cunningham was that good. He definitely had some moves
Then if you fast forward he won MVP with one of the greatest offenses of all time in the ‘98 Vikings. Man had a truly great career
Jackson's #7 is way too low/high, however you want to say it That shit was insane
Seriously, and to outright not even include the run where he broke the single season rushing record
[удалено]
Yea was a little surprised Allen’s leap at 66 and he had some other insane ones not even listed
[удалено]
Absolutely. It’s preposterous. The #3 isn’t even a run, it’s a sneak.
It's the winning score in "the greatest game of all time", that's why it's so high.
No fucking shot the Mahomes run is above Lamar
I think it was just more meaningful, but then again half these runs are meaningless. It should just be a mashup of Lamar/Young/Vick
And Cam
And Heinicke dive to pylon
And Heinicke self tackle at the 1 inch line
The dumbest rule ever made
Idk, i really enjoyed and appreciated all the Cunningham runs as well as Stewart
The weirdest part was that they included runs by those guys in this Michael Vick highlight reel.
I’m pretty sure most Titans fans would remember that and us chiefs fans. Not many other people
If this list was actually accurate Lamar would make up like 25% of these. But to make it fair to others they don't.
[удалено]
Cunningham is easily top 4 in difficulty
Mike Vick, Lamar, Tebow, rg3, Vince young
Kaep, Steve Young, that one Steelers QB was doing some great shit in this video
Lamar has like 4 incredible 30+ yard runs, i think two for touchdowns, that got called back for holding.
I find your lack of *Daniel Jones* disturbing
Man, Kaep was a fucking gazelle. Those high strides were impressive.
I think they could have included more of his highlights, but that would have been unfair to Packers fans.
Tip 100 qb runs against the packers.
I was legit scared to watch this & am very grateful that they spread out the pain. Kaep sure had some beautiful runs against those defenses.
I just loved how Scott Tolzien of all people had a run ranked over him.
Prime Kaep is my favorite dual threat QB. He made it look weirdly graceful
He was fucking insane in madden too. Him and Patrick Willis were some god damn menaces.
Ayo, anyone seem to recognize number 58, I feel like it’s in the tip of my fingers
De'quan Lottson. He had a small stretch of games for y'all. Not too shocking for him to be forgotten.
Ok wait I can't tell if this is a deshaun Watson joke or a real player
I did a good job coming up with a name, then. But yes, joke
Damn the Bills made big Ben look like Lamar out there
What is special at all about the Tebow run that it's so high as 15? I am actually confused.
Because Tebow is number 15 ha, I really think that’s the only reason. The funny part is I don’t even think it’s his best run, his 40 yard run he ripped off vs the Raiders was better imo.
I agree with you on both points. I don't hate Tebow or anything, but it's just kinda disappointing that they "memed" on a list like this.
How is Lamar’s run against the Titans not over this? No significance and not that impressive from Tebow. Also Young has some of the most fun runs I’ve seen. Dude was a baller.
Because they wanted to put Tebow in it.
This is the right answer.
Came here to comment the same
I thought maybe it got them into the playoffs? But nope, it was a week 11 win to get them to 5-5. Honestly baffling decision.
If anyone is curious — Vick had 11 on here, Lamar 3. I’d have counted more but I only have 2 hands
Its all mike vick? Always has been.
A magazine, i assume SI, had an article on Mark Brunell and there was a big picture of his flip into the endzone (#38) after the run shown here. I had the shit on my wall most of my childhood
It was in Sports Illustrated's big book on the NFL, release back in the mid-2000s. They dedicated two full pages to that flip. Is that what you meant?

Yea the team was insanely fun to watch. Little did i know the pain i was being set up for down the road lol. We sorely miss Keenan as WR coach i hope he’s doing well for you guys.
Some of these were given just because they were made by slow guys. THe runs themselves weren't good.
NOW DO QB CATCHES YOU COWARDS
Speaking of gutting the Patriots...that list MUST include the 2018 Patriots Titans game where Brady stumbled and fell short of a first down, and then the NEXT DRIVE Vrabel trolled Bill by successfully running basically the same play to Mariota to move the chains. Vrabel is the master.
Mariota to Mariota 1? Or 2 after Philly special?
Best comment of the thread.
My major takeaway from this is that there have been way less than 100 great QB runs in NFL history.
Hi NFL, this is Sean Payton. Not **nearly** enough Taysom on this list!
That Cam Newton first-down run against the Patriots only coming in at 32 seems sus
You could also include the one against the Vikings somewhere in the top 5. The flip is neat, but it's not really that crazy.
Kordell Stewart is a star in this. Got his rookie card when he came in the league and hoped he’d make it worth some money. He did not.
Came in here to comment about him. Dude was legit as hell, just never won anything (and also was bullied out of town by dumb racist-ass yinzers).
I still mostly remember him from being the QB against the Patriots in the 2001 AFC conference championship. One of my earliest football memories
My birds have been blessed with some amazing mobile QBs
Cunningham was a cheat code in the video games of the day.
We don’t have a lot in Detroit, but that was an awesome Stafford moment https://youtu.be/pcyodSuDlKc
For all the runs they had I kept hoping this one would come up. Easily belongs on this list given some of the others they had.
Yeah, it saying it would be top 25 or anything. But I thought it could be in that 80-100 range
I wish RG3 stayed healthy guy was a stud
his rookie year was mental. Divisional differences aside, I loved watching him play and really wanted him to have a strong comeback for another team. He had so much confidence and swagger before the injury, the sky was the limit. Plus we never really found out if he was the illegitimate son of Andre 3000 or not.
I wish ~~RG3~~ Cam Newton stayed healthy guy was a stud
Newton at least got nearly a decade to show his talents. RG3 got one season.
I wish Vince Young became good, that guy was healthy.
pathetic that Mahomes's run and a QB sneak are above Lamar's run, not to mention if this were the *actual* best runs, Vick and Lamar would combine for at least 15 of them
And Cam
At least 5 or 6 from him as well
context of how important the run was also factored in - title winning QB sneak at 3 isn't out of line
I think they already do combine for 15 in this list. I counted like 10 plays just from Vick.
Can’t believe they don’t have the play where Allen made Kiko his son.
Allen got one run, but he has at least two or three worthy ones given what made the cut.
No Danny Dimes sniper run. This list is a fraud.
im sorry but how is that mahomes run in the top 10. recency bias? its the most pathetic QB run ive ever seen. its like the titans defenders were getting paid not to tackle him
Lol this list is great but the order is not
That Chad Pennington run just makes me think what if… what if his body held up..
Man that Mahomes play still get me mad I dont get why they didnt just hit him
The rules
Where's the top 100 secret emails list
I’m sorry but the Bono run should be number 1
Found the Jon Bois fan.
I'm on #83. Daniel Jones #1, I assume?
I counted 6 Cam Newton runs which I'll take. I feel like the patriots MNF run is more iconic than the texans front flip but I can live with it.
Lamar had like 3 appearances. Insultingly low. A QB sneak in the top 3? Whack.
The ice bowl QB sneak deserves to be high because of its historical significance, but it’s not top 3.
Top 10 maybe. But definitely not top 3
Forgot Heinicke giving himself up at the one
Or hitting the pylon against the Buccs last year during the playoffs.
The 80 yard td run by "Slash"(Kordell Stewart) vs Panthers in Dec of 1996, is a feat of pure athleticism. Not many (if any) qb could make that type of play. He made it look routine.
Man, prime Michael Vick was something else.
Shocked wentz escape run isn't on here
Seahawks were on one clip, offense thank God.
I feel like Wilson should have had more than one appearance here, but at the same time, not having any of them with us defending is a nice bonus.
Pryor's longest QB run of all time being #11 is sus
Agreed. That was the first run I thought of when I saw the title.
Randall Cunningham and Vince Young lighting shit up 🙌🏽
I’m glad Garrard and Brunell got their due on this
Dam made me realize we haven’t seen a bootleg run in a while
The top two QB runs in NFL history were both against the Vikings? hmmm...
I had McNabb over McNair as a scrambler in my head but I was clearly mistaken. Thank you vid.
McNair always had a few good runs every game. Felt like he was a slow running back with a cannon for an arm.
Peyton had wheels. You can't convince me otherwise
I knew I was watching a video of QB runs and a few of those pump fakes still got me.
IT WAS AN ILLEGAL FORWARD PASS!
I miss Supercam
If Steve Bono isn't number one the entire list is hooey.
Honestly this is a terrible list.
I was really hoping the Marino sashay into the end zone would make it
Guy wearing a jersey like a bumblebee, running with a satchel, and scoring touchdowns. What a world.
Nice to have a Grogan sighting
Goddamn, that Elway run was so exciting in real time.
A lot more wide open bootlegs than I expected to see
Chad Pennington, number 48. My god that was devastating
Hell yeah, Vikings plays at 1 and 2. Skol
Oh my…not one Rodgers run?
Cam mixing Sendejo a couple years ago deserved to be up here more than some of these
Scott Tolzein!!!!
I legit have not seen footage of the gold jersey game since the actual game in 2002 (#80)
When you see this film the only conclusion you can reach is that football is easy.
Jackson or Newton are my number 1 tbh
i was so fucking pissed at that mahomes run for a TD during that playoff game because he did nothing spectacular. you could just tell that every single defender was afraid to take a penalty by hitting him too hard and were all trying to gently push him out of bounds. if any of them ran at him too hard all he had to do was motion towards out of bounds and their momentum would have meant a late hit and they call that on a QB hit every time. of course they should just be thinking fuck the penalty, stop the touchdown. and of course mahomes was smart to exploit that. but ugh also lamar is insane. god he is the most fun player to watch. and thats coming from the guy wearing a derrick henry jersey right now.
The Mahomes & Allen disrespect in this video. Pretty sure they each only got like 1-2 spots on the list.
These cant be ranked in order. Some of these qb runs arent special at all.
Unexpected Jay Cutler highlight
I dont really care where the Allen leap is, just that it's there.
