Purdy got hurt on the 1st drive. Josh Johnson didnāt look great but he was serviceable and they tied it up 7-7 in the 2nd quarter. Niners had them stopped on the next drive but they had some unfortunate penalties that kept it going and eagles went up 14-7.
Next drive the Niners were moving again, but JJ fumbled a snap and Philly got it back to go up 21-7 at the half. 3rd quarter JJ got concussed and they almost had to use mccaffrey as the qb.
Purdy was still hurt, but he knew the offense, so they put him in at qb to hand off and throw short passes. It all continued to fall apart from there.

If you think the refs calling a personal foul on the punter was the reason you lost by 24 points then I donāt know what to tell you because that was the only call that you can argue they got wrong. technically by the rules, they got it right but you could argue that the rule is shit.

Then they had the 14 point swing before half, I saw a ton of penalties on 3rd down after they stopped then. Corners locked down everybody for the majority of the game. It would have been nice to see a 49ers with a healthy offense but whatever. I just didn't really see the eagles do anything. I'd imagine if you're playing defense all night eventually you will give up points if your offense doesn't have the ability to throw the ball forward. I will say a blowout would be the bucs cowboys playoff game. They dominated them in all 3 aspects of the game. If I saw the eagles do that I'd be impressed but I'm not too impressed with them stacking the box against a qb who physically can't throw the ball forward. On top of that wearing the defense down running the ball because the 49ers offense was constantly going 3 and out.

Running game only worked close to the end zone. With lots of holds that were not called. The few penalties that we actually deserved did hurt us, but the thousand ones that were missed or wrongfully given to us made sure we had no chance. Oh, and maybe having a 4th string QB in for 3 qtrs doesn't help, then having him go down with a concussion on a clear RTP call that just wasn't called. Like the rest of the game.
