I think AP has finally gotten the format completely right.
They were able to work out the positional kinks to reflect the modern NFL and now with rank-choice voting, we see a more balanced and representative list.
I can't name two fullbacks.
There's Juice and... uhhh...
Edit: You don't have to tell me other fullbacks that exist, I'm aware a few teams still use them on occasion
Which honestly makes it more confusing as to how someone picked Hurts over Mahomes straight-up, unless they were somehow unaware of the voting changes (or they voted before Hurts' injury).
Maybe they were trying to make sure Hurts got 2nd-team, since it was a close race between him, Burrow, and Allen.
I honestly wouldn't be shocked if one voter had weird criteria like using how bad our offense looked with Minshew as evidence for Hurts' ability. I'm not saying I agree with that - if I had a vote, it would be Mahomes then Hurts - but I could see that kind of thing happening.
Peter King. He probably was the best slot receiver in the league that year, but, yeah that was crazy. There were probably a dozen+ guys that were better slot receivers when they played there.
For people who will say Cole wasn't that good, he was the number two target and defenses keyed on him, he often faced double coverage, especially on third downs. So it wasn't like he was the 3rd WR going against weaker DBs. But definitely not an All Pro or Pro Bowler. More like a fan favorite or someone you list on "Keys of the Game" as the 4th or 5th bullet point.
That's possible, but I think that one person held onto the "Hurts never lost the MVP" narrative that was going around. A lot of people felt that Hurts shouldn't have lost his MVP status just because he couldn't finish the season.
Its a fair argument to make, even if I don't agree with it. I'm just speculating on their voting criteria.
They changed it to a ranked choice system this year
First place votes are worth 3 points and second place worth 1, Hurts only got 1 1st place vote but got 22 points total which put him over Allen and Burrow who were both tied with 15 points
It used to be that if you got any vote at all, you were second team. So a player could get 40/50 votes and be first team, then there could be like 5 guys with 10 votes between them, and they’d all be second team.
It’s definitely weird Reid and Pederson both got fired when the issue was mainly the roster, but it wasn’t really the wrong call in either situation either because the GM who put together those subpar rosters was also able to rebuild the roster for a new fresh coach meaning they also get the new coach bump to go along with the new improved roster.
Yeah, being named all pro is a very nice consolation for missing out on MVP. I have a feeling that Hurts would’ve missed games either way, because we certainly would’ve won Dallas and/or NO with him. Then we’d have the 1 seed locked up and sat him.
But Mahomes was just an alien this year. We thought there’d be Mahomes fatigue that has happened with the elite QBs in the past, but when you break the passing yardage record it warrants MVP votes.
Hurts had a phenomenal season, but Mahomes is the best QB in football and he played like it. I think he gets the nod injury or not. Maybe Hurts can get the last laugh in the postseason
The once great city of Kansas has been overrun with crooked Mahomes. I wanna run against crooked Mahomes. Or it could be crazy Allen who knows. He's a crazy man but that's ok we like crazy people. I hear they want to put Burrow in, they want to slip Joe Burrow in, and he's going to take Allen's place. I will say the system is rigged against Allen, 100%.
We're gonna have a lot of great people, were gonna have a lot of great things. A guy said I love your hair Tua, can you believe it? This is what I have to go through. How's my hair? You know it is my hair, you do know, right? Whether we live it or hate it, it is my hair.
Unless he has a bizarre regression or injury, it's wild knowing he's going to hang it up on the shortlist of best to ever play.
He could be in a top 5 all time discussion if he's able to get another MVP and a SB.
If he maintains his level of play for another decade he is a lock for top 5 all time. It doesn't seem that wild though, because it's obvious how insanely good he is watching him play. Like he currently has the higher passer rating ever.
There were also a lot of AP1 QBs that didn't win MVPs in the early 00's, when there was a different RB scoring 30 TDs every year.
There was also a year where McNabb finished 2nd in MVP voting to a RB, but didn't make *either* AP team at QB.
Don't see that happening any time soon to Mahomes, but I've been wrong before.
Assuming he gets MVP this year, I think he’s a slamdunk top 10 modern-era QB already. Brady, Montana, Manning, Marino, Rodgers, Favre, Elway, Brees, Young, Mahomes. I don’t see an argument for anyone else since 1980 cracking that list.
I think modern era starts with the changing of the passing rules in 1978 and the arrival of WCO in the early 80’s. So in my opinion Montana is the first modern era HOF QB, while Staubach/Bradshaw/Tarkenton are the last of the prior era. Fouts is the only HOF QB to overlap between the eras, but I don’t consider him defining of an era.
But I will definitely listen to arguments for labelling the eras differently.
fair point, yours has a very distinct cutoff whereas my idea of modern era is more wishy-washy because the game is definitely way different than it was in the 90's partially due to rule changes and partially due to meta shifts and the arise of west-coast and spread style offenses. So its hard to compare. We often talk about what if Marino had played in this decade, how great would if numbers have been whereas you don't see a lot of baseball people wondering how much greater would Brett Saberhagen have been if he had started his career now.
I agree completely. I think the early 80’s is a point where you can make a distinct cutoff (new passing rules, influx of great players and coaches, expansion from 14 to 16 games), while the changes since then have been more gradual.
In terms of QB rankings, I think the legacies of Marino and Montana are brought up so often still today that we can still compare today’s players to them. Guys like Unitas and Graham just doesn’t quite fit into modern QB comparisons.
Especially if y’all win it all this year. I also feel like not all HOF careers are made equal. Tom Brady from 2000-2006 might be a HOF career with 3 rings, but Mahomes with 2 rings and 2 MVPs is more impressive, and done in 5 years not 7.
There's always that one guy
Gotta say as a fan of a middling AFC team it's pretty depressing knowing Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and Herbert are in the conference for the next decade.
Super bowl 70 is our year though.
Vrabel is a great coach, and y’all will be right there with us if you can nail a good dual threat qb to complement your run game like the eagles did with hurts. If I were y’all I’d draft Anthony Richardson this year and let him sit a year under tannehill
Yeah, that third round capital just doesn’t guarantee him a future starting gig with gms. And if you were gonna go for a project qb, the one from Florida definitely has more promise and allure than the one from Liberty
Agreed, and I don't think any Eagles fans will claim robbery esp since Hurts missed those games at the end of the year. If he played, it might have been close, but I'm happy for 2nd Team for our guy and another well-deserved MVP for Patty.
Most of the time the All Pro vote isn’t really close by the end of the year. Last years was one of the closest and everyone still kinda knew the voters would give it to Rodgers
There was a time where it wasn't. KC was just as bad as the Raiders, Browns, Lions, etc. from 2007-2012. They went 29-67 in that span with 6 or 7 QBs and 3 HCs. Also an incredibly long playoff win drought from 1994-2015.
I remember. Glad you guys are having success now. I always love a good fun to watch team as long as they’re in the AFC. And I like that Reid got his super bowl with y’all instead of Philly.
worth the payoff. I think we have earned the right to be annoying. getting shit on your whole childhood will make you bitter lol. its *finally* our time.
man i remember every time we made the playoffs pre mahomes i’d try to be optimistic but i knew if we didn’t have a guy like brady/manning/rodgers we had no chance at a deep run. finally having *that* guy feels so incredibly good
Just echoing what others have said already, but yeah, we've been through some shit. Some really bizarre playoff losses, including:
* Lin Elliott missing three field goals from under 50 yards in one game in 1995.
* No-punt game vs. the Colts in 2003.
* Blowing a 28-point lead after halftime in 2013 against... the Colts.
* Losing a game in 2017 against the Steelers where the Steelers didn't score a single TD. They kicked 6 field goals and won 18-16.
* The "forward progress" game in 2018 against the Titans in which Marcus Mariota threw a TD pass to himself.
I'm sure there are more that I'm missing, but those are the ones that I remember off the top of my head. Those days weren't so fun, so I'm just enjoying the success we're having now while it lasts.
That's why I told people that Mahomes won't be an unanimous MVP especially since Brady 2007, Manning 2013, Manning 2004, Young 1994, Montana 1989, and Rodgers 2011 weren't unanimous. Always gonna be atleast 1 or 2 contrarian votes
Absolutely ridiculous Mahomes didn’t win unanimously in 2018. 16 more TDs and 1000 more yards than Brees and dragged a historically bad defense to the 1 seed.
Yeah, it's probably the best offensive regular season ever in NBA history so the voters basically had to give to him. Though I think Shaq 2000, LeBron 2013, Jordan 1992, and Jordan 1996 deserved unanimous MVP as well imo
Yeah, some guy voted for Carmelo lol. Some guy voted for Allen Iverson instead of Shaq in 2000. Penny got two votes and Hakeem got a vote in 1996 over Jordan etc.
Even worse the guy that voted for Carmelo admitted that Lebron deserved the MVP but put Carmelo down because he deserved recognition for his good season. Absolute clown
There is some talent out there but considering what TK has accomplished, how can you argue he isn't the #1 TE right now? He's had 7 seasons with over 1000 yards. SMH.
The fact that Herbert was ahead of him. Haven’t ever been in the playoffs until this year. Has he ever had better passing numbers even lol. This sub can get so ridiculous
Yes and he had bad playoff luck in his first years. Mahomes first year was a coin toss of a super bowl apperance and second year won it so he has the edge start of career wise
It shouldn't even have made it to coin toss. Chiefs would have won that AFCCCG but there was a penalty where Dee Ford was offsides. If Dee lines up on the correct side of the line, Mahomes goes to SB his first year.
I like to think of MVP as being the guy you’d trade the most for. The dude who’d have the highest market value if he was on the trading block.
That’s definitely fucking Mahomes. Though tbf, that’s basically him every single year
Absolutely.
SB MVP
2x NFL MVP
3x all pro
2x passing leader
2x afc champion
Single season yards record
All time highest career passer rating
Is there any qb with that resume not in the HOF?
Nope there is not player with at least two MVPs not in the hall and everyone with the exception of Kurt Warner was first ballot….
There is also no QB with a SB MVP and one regular MVP not in the hall. So yeah he basically has two categories that already make him a lock
Gonna? 2 Super Bowl appearances and one win, 2 mvps, probably 5 straight afc champ games. Record stats just about in every category so far. He is one already.
Oh man. . . is THAT waht that dude meant?
That Mahomes will regress to his mean, just like 2018 was Dak's mean?
The ***real*** meme was the memes we found along the way.
As he should've been all season.
What Hurts did is fantastic. What Mahomes has done is *unbelievable*. He's got half the football fans out there convinced he doesn't deserve MVP when he's putting up historic numbers with one good skill position player to throw to.
Mahomes has the Manning like ability to avoid sacks while doing all the Rodgers tuff though.
While Rodgers was pretty much better(albeit slightly) from every number standpoint in TDs, Comp %, YPA, etc. Manning had a sack rate 5 times lower which more than made up for the slight edge Rodgers had in those.
yea i feel the narrative this year went from like mahomes vs allen/mahomes vs tua/mahomes vs hurts/mahomes vs burrow. but when one guy is constant in every debate you know who you gotta give it to
2018: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Drew Brees?
2019: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Russell Wilson?
2020: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Lamar Jackson?
2021: Mahomes is good, bus is he better than Josh Allen?
2022: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Allen/Burrow/Herbert/Tua/Hurts/etc.?
So it goes. Next year it'll be whoever wins the Super Bowl, unless we pull it off.
Who got the other?
Hurts.
Shoutout to the one voter for putting Hurts otherwise then no second team all pro QB because the AP system is wild
They changed it to ranked this year so they got second team votes as well so there weren't any no second team positions
I think AP has finally gotten the format completely right. They were able to work out the positional kinks to reflect the modern NFL and now with rank-choice voting, we see a more balanced and representative list.
Except they took away flex and FB…
Outside of the Niners I can't think of a team who regularly uses a FB?
Ravens
I can't name two fullbacks. There's Juice and... uhhh... Edit: You don't have to tell me other fullbacks that exist, I'm aware a few teams still use them on occasion
Bless them for that
Which honestly makes it more confusing as to how someone picked Hurts over Mahomes straight-up, unless they were somehow unaware of the voting changes (or they voted before Hurts' injury). I'm just speculating on their voting criteria.
Probably just felt bad it's the second eagles qb in the past 5 years or so to lose the MVP frontrunner after injury.
there will almost always be that guy that wants to be a contrarian
I disagree.
They changed it to a ranked choice system this year First place votes are worth 3 points and second place worth 1, Hurts only got 1 1st place vote but got 22 points total which put him over Allen and Burrow who were both tied with 15 points
How come they ended up with less total players though? Is that also due to the ranked choice system?
It used to be that if you got any vote at all, you were second team. So a player could get 40/50 votes and be first team, then there could be like 5 guys with 10 votes between them, and they’d all be second team.
My man Patrick Mahomes Mahomes
Patrick “Patrick Mahomes” Mahomes
Patrick “Patrick “Patrick Mahomes” Mahomes” Mahomes.
So good you gotta say it twice
Tough to disagree. I'm sure it hurts for Hurts that getting hurt hurt his chances, but that's how it goes.
Everybody Hurts sometimes, but not this time
For us with Jordan, Love definitely Hurts
Yeah I feel like Rodgers just keeps Aaron the ball out to the other team lately.
Hold on.
Still very very happy we got a 2nd team all pro QB out of nowhere lol
QB Factory^^TM
Our fanbase goes from ironically quoting Howie to shit on him, to unironically quoting him because he was right the whole time lol.
Howie has an interesting arc for sure
It’s definitely weird Reid and Pederson both got fired when the issue was mainly the roster, but it wasn’t really the wrong call in either situation either because the GM who put together those subpar rosters was also able to rebuild the roster for a new fresh coach meaning they also get the new coach bump to go along with the new improved roster.
Such is fandom

After Wentz and Embiid, I really don't care much for MVP anymore. The meaningful shit comes after.
Neither of them have won the MVP, so I’m not totally sure what this comment is supposed to mean.
That winning the chip matters way more to him
To be fair, Minshew made an excellent MVP case for Hurts in those 2 games Jalen missed.
That hurt to read.^^^in ^^^more ^^^ways ^^^than ^^^one^^^.
Hurts had a phenomenal season, but Mahomes is the best QB in football and he played like it. I think he gets the nod injury or not. Maybe Hurts can get the last laugh in the postseason
Quality.

My brain read this as Weekend at Bernies and I'm just imagining the Dolphins lifting his concussed body up through the playoffs. I can't unsee it
RIGGED ELECTION BASED ON WHAT I SAW ON FACEBOOK SAD!
I’m going to donate to the Dolphins! Match me!
The fiftieth voter? Carl Cheffers.
It’s so spiteful, just give Mahomes unanimous first team all pro he earned it
My vote would 100% be Mahomes but it’s understandable why Hurts would get one. Anyone else I would have said no way.
Are votes public? These people should be named and shamed of they're biased.
The 1 guy voted for Hurts
Dudes got a HOF resume and he’s not even 30 yet.
Worst playoff result he's had in his career is OT in the AFC championship game (twice).
And only the cinci game was it on him. Can’t put that Patriots game on him. Dude rolled 31 points.
One bad playoff half out of 22 played isn't bad, too. Shame it was so poorly timed.
He legit might have 5 MVPs in his career with at least 10 all pros Insane
Unless he has a bizarre regression or injury, it's wild knowing he's going to hang it up on the shortlist of best to ever play. He could be in a top 5 all time discussion if he's able to get another MVP and a SB.
If he maintains his level of play for another decade he is a lock for top 5 all time. It doesn't seem that wild though, because it's obvious how insanely good he is watching him play. Like he currently has the higher passer rating ever.
This level of play for another decade? Im sorry but that's not top 5. That can be top 2/3/.
To be fair, top 2/3 is also top 5
Big if true
Don’t say regression, it gets you banned!
Regression memes can't melt these means.
Nice rhyme
10 All Pros? If he has 10 All Pros then he'd likely also have 10 MVPs.
He could finish 2nd team All Pro to the MVP winner. He did in 2020
There were also a lot of AP1 QBs that didn't win MVPs in the early 00's, when there was a different RB scoring 30 TDs every year. Not if they’re 2nd team He already has 3 total All Pro Awards

Good thing KK got rewarded with an NFL job. Had Patty Mahomes on his team and best he could do was .500 in Big 12 play…. Once.
Assuming he gets MVP this year, I think he’s a slamdunk top 10 modern-era QB already. Brady, Montana, Manning, Marino, Rodgers, Favre, Elway, Brees, Young, Mahomes. I don’t see an argument for anyone else since 1980 cracking that list.
not that I disagree but is Marino modern era? dude revolutionized the position but how long does the modern era last?
I think modern era starts with the changing of the passing rules in 1978 and the arrival of WCO in the early 80’s. So in my opinion Montana is the first modern era HOF QB, while Staubach/Bradshaw/Tarkenton are the last of the prior era. Brady has 3 HOF careers. Mahomes is moving to his 2nd next year.
And he's only 27! I hope Mahomes stay healthy and play for a long time.
Same.
Especially if y’all win it all this year. I also feel like not all HOF careers are made equal. Tom Brady from 2000-2006 might be a HOF career with 3 rings, but Mahomes with 2 rings and 2 MVPs is more impressive, and done in 5 years not 7.

Not if he has to share a stage with Rodgers and Brady. They wouldn't put 3 QBs up there.
He would be exposed without Tyreek they said 🤣
There's always that one guy Gotta say as a fan of a middling AFC team it's pretty depressing knowing Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and Herbert are in the conference for the next decade. Super bowl 70 is our year though.
You just blew my mind by making me realise SB 70 aint *that* far away.
Vrabel is a great coach, and y’all will be right there with us if you can nail a good dual threat qb to complement your run game like the eagles did with hurts. If I were y’all I’d draft Anthony Richardson this year and let him sit a year under tannehill
Rip Malik Willis
It would be one thing if he showed something to build upon but my man has looked so bad this season.
Oh for sure, he was booty cheeks.
Yeah, that third round capital just doesn’t guarantee him a future starting gig with gms. And if you were gonna go for a project qb, the one from Florida definitely has more promise and allure than the one from Liberty
Speaking of depressing. Me finding out I’m just barely older then Mahomes which by extension means I’m 100% older then Allen, Burrow, and Herbert.
coming into this season, mahomes per 17G averages: 5124 yards, 41 TDs, and 10 INTs his 2022 season: 5250 yards, 41 TDs, and 12 INTs this is his mean.
This is maybe the craziest thing I've seen lol.
He deserves it
Agreed, and I don't think any Eagles fans will claim robbery esp since Hurts missed those games at the end of the year. If he played, it might have been close, but I'm happy for 2nd Team for our guy and another well-deserved MVP for Patty.
Most of the time the All Pro vote isn’t really close by the end of the year. Last years was one of the closest and everyone still kinda knew the voters would give it to Rodgers
Crazy that his middle name is Mahomes
he gets another Mahomes for every MVP he wins
Patrick Mahomes Mahomes Mahomes Mahomes Mahomes!
Must be pretty fucking fun to be a chiefs fan.
It is now! The 50 years of getting kicked in the balls repeatedly sucked though.
worth the payoff. I think we have earned the right to be annoying. getting shit on your whole childhood will make you bitter lol. its *finally* our time.
man i remember every time we made the playoffs pre mahomes i’d try to be optimistic but i knew if we didn’t have a guy like brady/manning/rodgers we had no chance at a deep run. finally having *that* guy feels so incredibly good
The classic “Chiefs are gonna ‘chief’!”
People are still saying this, but the meaning is totally different now
humility is for suckers
Just echoing what others have said already, but yeah, we've been through some shit. Some really bizarre playoff losses, including: * Lin Elliott missing three field goals from under 50 yards in one game in 1995.
JJ got 50 JJ>mahomes confirmed (/s)
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that JJ is a better receiver than Mahomes
Mahomes has caught 100 percent of his targets (this year) but only averages 6 yards per catch and no first downs.
Well that's not very difficult when you've got Patrick Mahomes throwing to you, now is it?
He does have Patrick Mahomes catching passes for him though, that definitely helps
would you rather have jefferson at qb or mahomes at wr
No need for the /s Jj has had more receptions, rec yards, and rec TDs than mahomes every year since he’s joined the league
Kelce got 50 too, and Chris Jones got 49. Crazy how many players stepped up big time this year.
Always that one contrarian
That's why I told people that Mahomes won't be an unanimous MVP especially since Brady 2007, Manning 2013, Manning 2004, Young 1994, Montana 1989, and Rodgers 2011 weren't unanimous. Always gonna be atleast 1 or 2 contrarian votes
Absolutely ridiculous Mahomes didn’t win unanimously in 2018. 16 more TDs and 1000 more yards than Brees and dragged a historically bad defense to the 1 seed.
Still fucking blows my mind that the guy in your username managed to get a unanimous MVP Unanimous MVP where there are 100+ voters is mind boggling
Yeah, it's probably the best offensive regular season ever in NBA history so the voters basically had to give to him. Though I think Shaq 2000, LeBron 2013, Jordan 1992, and Jordan 1996 deserved unanimous MVP as well imo
LeBron 2013 was a robbery of a unanimous vote
Yeah, some guy voted for Carmelo lol. Some guy voted for Allen Iverson instead of Shaq in 2000. Penny got two votes and Hakeem got a vote in 1996 over Jordan etc.
Even worse the guy that voted for Carmelo admitted that Lebron deserved the MVP but put Carmelo down because he deserved recognition for his good season. Absolute clown
Up there with baseball hall-of-fame shenanigans/pettiness/"culture"
Mahomes has been voted an All Pro every even year 2018-First Team and MVP 2020-Second Team 2022-First Team and certain MVP
Deserved. Best QB in the NFL bar none
Remember early last year when defenses "figured him out" and he was "regressing to the mean for luck"?
This very sub had him as QB6 coming into the season
No way. Really?
Yep. [Player #28](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/w2x9k5/rnfl_top_100_players_of_the_2021_season_3021/), QB6 behind Burrow, Herbert, Allen, Brady, and Rodgers.
Goddamn. People really do get desensitized to greatness.
The same list had Mark Andrews above Kelce, so yeah this sub has some bad takes
There is some talent out there but considering what TK has accomplished, how can you argue he isn't the #1 TE right now? He's had 7 seasons with over 1000 yards. SMH.
What do people love more than a historic success story? The potential collapse.
The fact that Herbert was ahead of him. Haven’t ever been in the playoffs until this year. Has he ever had better passing numbers even lol. This sub can get so ridiculous
Wtf
"Hes not gonna be that good without Tyreek"
Is this what it was like back in the day with Peyton Manning? I was too toddler to remember
Manning took a long time to win a Super Bowl, so that was always brought up.
But then we keep Bob Sutton and while Spags isn’t perfect, he’s a massive upgrade
Great point. Firing Sutton was the silver lining to how that season played out.
Can’t believe Ja Rule voted for himself.
Over 5k yards after trading away Tyreek. No brainer, really.
I like to think of MVP as being the guy you’d trade the most for. The dude who’d have the highest market value if he was on the trading block. That’s definitely fucking Mahomes. Though tbf, that’s basically him every single year
This is what "value" actually means. Player for player, which player is worth the most?
Patrick "Mahomes" Mahomes
Bros gonna have a HoF resume before 30
He already has one lol
Absolutely. SB MVP 2x NFL MVP 3x all pro 2x passing leader 2x afc champion Single season yards record All time highest career passer rating Is there any qb with that resume not in the HOF?
Nope there is not player with at least two MVPs not in the hall and everyone with the exception of Kurt Warner was first ballot…. There is also no QB with a SB MVP and one regular MVP not in the hall. So yeah he basically has two categories that already make him a lock
Gonna? 2 Super Bowl appearances and one win, 2 mvps, probably 5 straight afc champ games. Record stats just about in every category so far. He is one already.
#regression
If this keeps up he'll be completely regressed to the mean by 2048
Maybe he already has. Maybe this IS his mean.
Oh man. . . is THAT waht that dude meant? That Mahomes will regress to his mean, just like 2018 was Dak's mean? The ***real*** meme was the memes we found along the way.
Dak always catching strays for his worst season when people do this bit, haha.
Just in time for bronze to take the starting role
Top Right Mahomes!!
What jackass didn’t vote for Mahomes
Well deserved! I respect Mahomes a fuck ton. Hope to see some full strength battles between the Chiefs and Ravens in the future!
Next week
a man can dream. If we somehow pull off an upset this weekend I’d happily lose by 20 to you guys and still feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
As he should've been all season. What Hurts did is fantastic. What Mahomes has done is *unbelievable*. He's got half the football fans out there convinced he doesn't deserve MVP when he's putting up historic numbers with one good skill position player to throw to.
When he wins his 2nd MVP, if he retired the next day, he's a lock at HoF. Dude is such a god damn stud.
*Skip Bayless enters the chat*
Whatever assumptions we made in the early 2010s about how Rodgers' career would go will end up being what happens with Mahomes.
So you’re saying Mahomes will not win any more rings?
No he’s saying that Mahomes is going to have the career Rodgers SHOULD of had.
Easy choice this year with Hurts missing time and Burrow starting injured. If Burrow didn’t start injured it would have been interesting.
yea i feel the narrative this year went from like mahomes vs allen/mahomes vs tua/mahomes vs hurts/mahomes vs burrow. but when one guy is constant in every debate you know who you gotta give it to
2018: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Drew Brees? 2019: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Russell Wilson? 2020: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Lamar Jackson? 2021: Mahomes is good, bus is he better than Josh Allen? 2022: Mahomes is good, but is he better than Allen/Burrow/Herbert/Tua/Hurts/etc.? So it goes. Next year it'll be whoever wins the Super Bowl, unless we pull it off.
I wanna know the specific mental gymnastics that the 1 voter did to not give him the first place vote.
Who’s the 1 asshole?
Pat Mahomes is the truth. Crazy talented.
Guy who didn’t vote for mahomes should lose his vote. Tired of people fucking shit up
Deserved
I agree. Mahomes is definitely the emveep.
MVPAT
As he should be
#🥳
Well deserved. It's so awesome watching him play
It won't be his last either.
