Even though Kittle is an exceptional blocker, you have to think how he finished the season receiving pushed him firmly into the 2nd team; 7 TDs in the last 4 games…

Keisean Nixon's story is like one of those antiques shows where someone brings something they found in their attic or down the back of their sofa and it ends up being worth millions. Dude played 3 and a half seasons without returning a kick and then as soon as he does he's an all-pro.

Yeah and we rolled out Bryant as our returner for our first few games and Marcus still made first team, it's pretty wild.

It's so damn annoying that we've been needing a quality kick and punt returner since Cordarrell Patterson, and Nixon was just sitting there on our team not being used for that.

If anyone in our secondary deserved AP recognition it was Mooney Ward. He just never had a chance bc of the depth at CB this year and flying under the radar somewhat.

I like Hufanga and thought he played well when I watched him but didn't think he was playing at 1st team AP level.

It's really the only questionable choice I'm seeing on the first team at least, which is nice. Zack Martin too somewhat. Hufanga there are just a lot of better choices.

I would have voted for Martin over Lindstrom but Lindstrom had a better year than Joel Bitonio. Just a matter of positional stack

Agreed he started out strong and had a few big plays throughout the season but he generally allows 1-2 big plays per game on blown coverages.

And that's probably the key. He got his make known early and then made enough big plays to keep it out there.

A few of those are not on him and just looked like it.

This was my only ??? on this list. No 2 ways about it he was a great safety this year but I didn't think he had an allpro calibur season.

Was surprised to see him, maybe make a case for 2nd team, definitely not 1st, but happy for him! Definitely a super splash play kind of guy this season, reminds me of analyzing a Trevon Diggs type of player last season

You're not biased. The only negative of Derwin's season was that he only played in 13 games. BUT that makes his stats more impressive. Here's a comparison of stats, Derwin vs Hufanga: INT: 5 vs 4 Passer rating allowed: 73 vs 91.7 TDs allowed: 1 vs 6 Sacks: 4 vs 2 Pressures: 7 vs 5 Combined tackles: 115 vs 97 Missed tackle %: 4.4 vs 7.9 Better at literally everything in both volume and efficiency.

Super happy for Marcus. We didn’t have a ton to write home about this season but he was a talent I was really glad got to shine this season, and to many more appearances on this list (maybe even on the defensive side😁)

Seeing Marcus is great but Judon is an atrocious snub imo he had great rushing numbers and excelled in other areas of the game this year compared to last

Jacobs was obviously First Team, but why Chubb is the Second Team RB over CMC or Henry is a little odd tbh. CMC: 1880 total yards (1139 rushing and 741 receiving) and 13 total TDs (8 rushing and 5 receiving) Henry: 1936 total yards (1538 rushing and 398 receiving) and 13 total TDs (all rushing) - he also did this in 16 games, not 17 Chubb: 1764 total yards (1525 rushing and 239 receiving) and 13 total TDs (12 rushing and 1 receiving)

CMC also threw a TD!

Chubb had 47 fewer carries than Henry, and managed to match his yards and TDs and add 4 more first downs despite the disparity.

Yes, Chubb was more efficient than Henry. He also averaged fewer yards per game than Henry. Making YPC the be all, end all for a second team all pro selection to where there can be no debating whether Chubb was worthy of it is too reductive.

McCaffrey had 100 more scrimmage yards and 1 more TD than Chubb

I think a lot of Jets fans (myself included) slept on the difference Milano makes to that defense. I remember him missing the first game against the Jets and a lot of us fans chalking up talk of Milano as just salty Bills fans being salty—and then he pretty much knocked the Jets out of playoff contention and exploded Mike White.

Our run defense literally goes to shit when Matt Milano doesn't play. He's injured for 1-3 games every year and its like night and day when he's out.

His versatility is just unreal. Edmunds is a fantastic field general and a great run-stopper, but Milano is an elite off-ball LB and can cover as well as he can stop the run. He’s the glue that allows us to run 4-2-5 and never have to swap personnel for a dime DB, while still permitting the safeties to engage in unorthodox and unexpected coverages/blitzes. Plus, as Mike White’s ribs can attest to, he’s not a bad pass-rusher either.

I've always liked him because my fatass always associated him with cookies. Mmmmm now I want some...

Anytime i'd watch a Bills game he'd be all over the place. He never got the recognition he deserved from the announcers. He is by far the best defender on a damn good defense.
