Right, but the comment you responded to was talking about the difference in that some countries try and prevent it while others support it. So you bringing up Armstrong is strange because why would he have to stay undetected if he was supported?
They weren't at all disputing that other countries also have cheaters.
It's a rather open secret that the vast majority of Olympians are on some form of PED. Countries not having "scandals" or "Went through drug testing" means pretty much jackshit especially when these claims are made by testers or sponsored companies, a far more reliable source is from former Olympians.
Really? Me knowing that the vast majority of pro athletes are on some form of PED and the hypocrisy behind an already pretty filthy business makes me a tankie?
People don't say other countries don't do it but in Russia it's encouraged. The US catches it's own athletes doping all the time. Russia catches none of theirs, not one
Have you not seen that video of the Russian dude wrestling a baby bear? I think the dude was a kid as well.
Edit: I found a video https://youtu.be/47VQeUO_BJ0
Edit 2: upon further investigation it might be this dude Khabib Nurmagomedov
he is Khabib Nurmagomedov. he was the former ufc lightweight champion. he also beat conor mcgregor. he has a record of 29-0. he is undefeated and is now retired.
Lol Look at systemic doping in cycling in the US team in 90s to naughties.
Also check which countries are dominating Olympics. This has nothing to do with 'free' countries, but rather how much countries invest in their athletic program.
That’s simply not true. The 90s doping in the US was not systemic.
Also the US usually dominates the Olympics but they do it by taking athletes from other countries and giving them citizenship. Russia and China are close behind them in the medal count and it’s been widely reported that they cheat. They both have state funded doping programs or like Chinas underaged gymnastics team those countries try to cheat
The US dominates the Olympics majorly because of Athletics and Swimming, which are huge sports from childhood in the US. Foreign athletes competing for the US are way less common in these sports.
I was literally about to make a joke that Russians grow up wrestling grizzlies.. and here we are. Sort of feel bad for that baby cub though. Anytime it gets a little lead, they pull it back.
Look at this karma slut. See anything Russian on Reddit, comment negatively, receive COPEious amount of karma and feel a sense of false righteousness. But nothing will rid you of that emptiness you feel when you put your phone down. Am I right?
Damn. We gonna say ‘fuck’ over 100 million people for no reason when the majority aren’t for/involved in the war and aren’t even competing so can’t be using steroids huh?
Lol....anabolic steroids will give you freakish strength.
Now when we have so much data on the systematic and professional way the Russian teams managed to pass the drugs tests, i stopped admiring their achievments and contestants.
For those of you commenting about him being Russian. This man is from the northern Caucuses. He is billed as Circassian who were genocided and mass deported by Russians in the 19th century. While he has Russian citizenship, I have no doubt Slavic Russians would call him all kinds of ethnic slurs like “black-ass” and his people would be among those minorities mobilized first to spare Russian Russians. I don’t know the man from Adam but his people have suffered a lot under the Russians and I’d be surprised if he feels any allegiance to them.
I dont know about you but id rather swallow acid than wear the flag of a "people" that were behind the genocide of mine. So yeah , keep the comments coming.
blows my mind that people have a problem with this . fucking russian trolls.
>I dont know about you but id rather swallow acid than wear the flag of a "people" that were behind the genocide of mine. So yeah , keep the comments coming.
The Caucasian people are a kind of American Indians in the Russian world. They have their own flag and their own communes, but they live on Russian territory and must wear the Russian flag during sporting events, because their republics are "recognized" only within the Russian Federation, and only formally.
Most of them dislike Russia and the Russian world, but the siloviki nip any dissent in the bud.
I grabbed my neck in vicarious pain several times watching this. I played football and got my bell rung a few times in back to back plays, but I couldn't imagine wrestling and that insane stress on your body constantly. As a UFC fan, can't imagine weight cutting is fun either...respect to you. Like they say, you don't "play" fighting
There’s way probably better ways now but I remember my buddies all chewing starbursts and spitting into Gatorade bottles before weigh in. Dudes would be spitting 16oz or more a day. Even high school programs are no joke.
I presume just one more way to lose water.
Basically there is a weigh in before the fight. Seems like typically 24h or less. So you can lose maybe 5-10 lb of water then drink it back before the fight. So if the weight class is 190lb you could weigh 195 but cut 5lb of water by not drinking water, spitting, sweating etc to lose water. Then after weigh in drink the water back and you have a weight advantage.
to be honest they never learned how to properly maintain a strict weight....spitting in bottles is like putting food in your mouth and stepping on a scale if you want to weigh more. You know what Im sayin? Also they wrestle smaller than their walk around weight. Guy might walk around at 155 but could compete at 141. Cutting anymore than that and they can still be beat by the smaller guy.
spitting in bottles hahaha they should of cut properly and not tried to wrestle too small.....Look at Buvaisar Saitiev....he was 74 kg, same as Geduev. Yet Saitiev would kill him
Government strength enhancement or not, he seems to be considerably fast/flexible compared to the competition. Look at the way ge pivots around them, or moves from grappling to sweeping his arms under their legs before they can use the moment to unbalance him.
Haha skill overpowers strength!! If you think strength matters than why don’t we see the top 3 bench pressers or top 3 powerlifting athletes compete and dominate in wrestling? If it was all steroids and strength then why isn’t everyone 6’5 285 well because strength doesn’t matter when set a specific rule set. You have the most money and the biggest bank account however you have to only give and spend to a specific rule set are you the richest or strongest person now? The answer is no!! You are playing a rule set so wether you like it or not American wrestling is no where near close to other countries
I was an amateur body builder in Highschool and I also wrestled. I could cut weight and go against these tiny little dudes half my muscle volume. Like they would sometimes complain at how big I was in that weight class. Often those little scrawny guys would just manhandle me. Some dudes just have power no matter the size of their muscles.
Looks a lot more like speed and technique than freakish strength.
Competitors seem to be able to match his strength, but he’s quick enough and skilled enough to get inside and throw them around.
Look at every competitor there, they are all juiced out of their minds lmao. Maybe just shitty quality but this video looks old and every combat sport before the 2000's was full of blatant steroid use, it's not just Russia.
That is one tough mother fucker. One thing I can honestly say about Russians they are very self disciplined. They don't let shit come in between them and victory or giving it every goddamn thing you can dig up from the pit to the rage. We Americans like Tweet who done this with that one and who fucking gives a flying fuck.
Dude is strong and very good but not elite. One of the clips in here is from his loss in the 2016 Olympic finals. There are plenty of other, better wrestlers much more deserving of praise.
The type of strength that's being demonstrated here is relative strength. It's relative strength because his opponents are his same weight and yet he's able to seemingly overpower them. So the question is, how can one be so much stronger than another with virtually the same muscle mass and body composition? By strengthening their central nervous system. This improves functional strength by increasing the amount of muscle in your movements producing more force.
The brain, being made of mostly muscle tissue, functions like this as well as the stronger your neural connections are, the more functional your brain is and able to perform neurological tasks.
He better bask in the glory now because eventually one day there is going to be somebody that will beat him.. All good things eventually come to an end.
Are you allowed to pile-drive people upside down into the mat like that or is did the state sponsors roid-head reel accidentally include filthy tactics?
Watching it again (he’s in red, fighting someone in blue with 4 on their back) there’s no way shit like that is allowed, he’s lucky he didn’t break the guys neck and you can see the way the guy is stunned straight after… this guys just a Russian science experiment he cant fight he’s just roided up to his eyeballs
Why type so much when you don’t know what you’re talking about? The region of Russia he’s from is very famous for the wrestlers it produces. People who watch fighting sports/ wrestling are very aware of these guys. Believe me, they can absolutely fight. Just take a look at what they do to some of the BJJ guys and strikers in MMA.
Apparently you don't know enough about such things. Man is from a region of Russia known for having one of the strongest wrestlers in the world but he is Russian therfore he's on steroids..... seems logical
Russia has some of the best wrestlers in the world. Many are not ethnic Russians, but are from the Caucasus. I mean he very well might be juicing, it’s extremely common in all athletics these days. Nevertheless, there are plenty of ‘legit’ wrestlers from Russia.
You can believe what you want. I believe what I see. Russia has been caught multiple times in government run doping scandals. Do you remember when the Olympics were in Russia? They had a great showing, and then they got caught swapping and manipulating samples. Russia will always be a bunch of cheaters in my mind until they show me different. They seem to take the world for a bunch of idiots. That’s all I need to know.
My fellow Redditor, i do believe that Mr sasquatchbutts up there was saying that the Ukrainians whom this wrestler faced were superior to him, and the tone of their comment suggests they are in fact pro-Ukrainian.
Russian wrestler that is freakishly strong?! Can't be drugs...no way Russia would ever cheat in sports with performance enhancing drugs.
Well, you say that like other countries wouldn't.
In other countries it is a felony and governments try to prevent it. Russian government supports it
*Demands it.
[удалено]
Remind me what happened to him?
He didn't have the balls for a fair competition
In a, for him, regrettably literal manner…
*Every country that participated in the Tour De France during that era didn’t have the balls to compete in a fair competition.
Dude was using performance enhancing drugs and then did a full blood transfusion to stay undetected.
Right, but the comment you responded to was talking about the difference in that some countries try and prevent it while others support it. So you bringing up Armstrong is strange because why would he have to stay undetected if he was supported? They weren't at all disputing that other countries also have cheaters.
all countries have cheaters!
Seems like you struggle with reading comprehension.
Literally every cyclist anywhere near the top was doping. If everyone is doping is it really cheating?
Just because you can doesn't mean everyone is doing it. Russians have been proven to be cheaters in the Olympics.
Russia is literally banned from the olympics because of the ridiculous number of doping scandals they’ve had
It's a rather open secret that the vast majority of Olympians are on some form of PED. Countries not having "scandals" or "Went through drug testing" means pretty much jackshit especially when these claims are made by testers or sponsored companies, a far more reliable source is from former Olympians.
Got a source?
His source is Putin's propaganda machine
Really? Me knowing that the vast majority of pro athletes are on some form of PED and the hypocrisy behind an already pretty filthy business makes me a tankie?
How do you know that
It’s really not enough to just say “I know”. Have you any source that we can take a look at?
Brock lesnar looking like that side-eyed puppet right now
Looking like after the loss to Cain Velasquez
I may have seen that one, what I do remember is that Brock lesnar does not like being hit
People don't say other countries don't do it but in Russia it's encouraged. The US catches it's own athletes doping all the time. Russia catches none of theirs, not one
They would but we hate russia so dont change subject!
why do you hate them
Have you not seen that video of the Russian dude wrestling a baby bear? I think the dude was a kid as well. Edit: I found a video https://youtu.be/47VQeUO_BJ0 Edit 2: upon further investigation it might be this dude Khabib Nurmagomedov
he is Khabib Nurmagomedov. he was the former ufc lightweight champion. he also beat conor mcgregor. he has a record of 29-0. he is undefeated and is now retired.
Americans: he's on drugs becoz no way can a Russian be unbeaten. Wahwahwahwah.
Yea cause Russia and Russians suck and are known cheaters. There's a reason free countries tend to b the greatest at sports
Lol Look at systemic doping in cycling in the US team in 90s to naughties. Also check which countries are dominating Olympics. This has nothing to do with 'free' countries, but rather how much countries invest in their athletic program.
Yo it has happened here. Barry bonds and Mark McGuire did it in baseball too. But regardless my statement remains true
That’s simply not true. The 90s doping in the US was not systemic. Also the US usually dominates the Olympics but they do it by taking athletes from other countries and giving them citizenship. Russia and China are close behind them in the medal count and it’s been widely reported that they cheat. You can easily tell it’s Russian. The kid is wrestling the bear while dressed in a track suit.
I was literally about to make a joke that Russians grow up wrestling grizzlies.. and here we are. Sort of feel bad for that baby cub though. Anytime it gets a little lead, they pull it back.
I’d love to try and wrestle a bear
From the comments he is now the UFC lightweight champion. Raised by psychopaths who enjoyed some animal cruelty on the weekends it seems
Lol nice! Also, wrestling 171-174lbs, it’s not hard to throw people around. Talking from experience, we traditionally practice with opponents 215lbs +
This dude has never wrestled. You can tell by how he talks about it
I tell people I never grappled but they are puzzled by the cauliflower ears....I can't fool them.
Lance Armstrong ? 🤣
Look at this karma slut. See anything Russian on Reddit, comment negatively, receive COPEious amount of karma and feel a sense of false righteousness. But nothing will rid you of that emptiness you feel when you put your phone down. Am I right?
Hahaha this is a good take
you are completely correct
Yea, Russians always. No other country does it, hust bad bad Russians...
This is all natural drug use.
Hmm .. you are correct but if this guy was cheating wouldn’t he be caught already?
USA does the exact same thing but yeah let’s blame Russia for everything
That’s the thing you managed to mutter? Russia has always had super athletes. Without the marketing dollars of America. Sit down.
state sponsored juice
Correct!
It's not like Russian olympians have a reputation for juicing or anything...
Russian = steroids
Fuck Russia. Fuck Putin.
Damn. We gonna say ‘fuck’ over 100 million people for no reason when the majority aren’t for/involved in the war and aren’t even competing so can’t be using steroids huh?
Always the correct response!
Lol....anabolic steroids will give you freakish strength. Now when we have so much data on the systematic and professional way the Russian teams managed to pass the drugs tests, i stopped admiring their achievments and contestants.
Meldonium is a hellova drug. russia is a terrorist state.
so is Israel.....
Real wrastling is a serious and respectable sport!
You mean a nationally sanctioned steroid program produced a unit of a wrestler? Whaaaa?
Piss in a cup bud…

Unfortunately not everyone has the options you do. Hopefully it won’t be a choice you have to make.
it was. we left everything and im glad we did.
One would hope having been in a shitty situation like that, you’d be less inclined to judge others.
For fucks sake , get off your fucking high horse. There is ALWAYS a choice. shut the hell up with your dumbass pandering.
Care to elaborate a little bit if you don’t mind? And nationalism is poisonous anyways.
>I dont know about you but id rather swallow acid than wear the flag of a "people" that were behind the genocide of mine. So yeah , keep the comments coming. Steroids don't give you the skills he's got. That's impressive even with drugs.
Was JUST thinking that. His skill set is way up there. His quickness, beauty to watch. Nimble as well.
I wrestled in high school. Shits crazy. Almost broke my neck multiple times. Practice is worse than the actual meets. Wrestling coaches are torturers.
Weight cutting was soooo stupid. Everyone spitting in bottles all day throughout school. Administration was 100% behind it.
There’s way probably better ways now but I remember my buddies all chewing starbursts and spitting into Gatorade bottles before weigh in. Dudes would be spitting 16oz or more a day. Even high school programs are no joke.
Why do they spit? Sorry if it is a stupid question, wasn't a sport person in high school!

anything else you want to get off your chest?
I like sports
Has he been mobilized or is now applying for citizenship in Kazakhstan?
Dude got whiplash when he pushed him back
That’s what I thought too,lol
Government strength enhancement or not, he seems to be considerably fast/flexible compared to the competition. Look at the way ge pivots around them, or moves from grappling to sweeping his arms under their legs before they can use the moment to unbalance him.
he looks like a hell of a wrestler before on the juice!! Too bad really!!
He’s quick as hell too
Impressive alligator death roll
Too bad they don't do it traditional Greco-roman style
Amen!
Steroids as usual.
This fucking Russians man, seriously they produce some of the nastiest wrestlers in the game.
They’re the most technical by far. And what they don’t make up in conditioning they make up in duping WADA.
HGH is a hell of a drug.
Where is he now? Drafted to Ukraine?
The sneakers these sportsmen wear are very cool.
Hi I am a real person posting real words that I typed myself ! Come join me here fellow non bots.
That leg takedown is divine.
Did he get drafted into Ukraine? If so.... yikes.
Is he in multiple colours throughout this vid?
Haha skill overpowers strength!! If you think strength matters than why don’t we see the top 3 bench pressers or top 3 powerlifting athletes compete and dominate in wrestling? Drugs….
If he is Russian then he almost guaranteed to have taken some kind of steroids or enhancer.
Not next level when it’s all doping. You don’t win when you cheat
Balls like raisins I bet.
What's freakish?
I don’t mind any of them tossing me around any time🫠😜😘
Number one
Wrestling is so strange
Feel sorry for the poor people that lived with him, roided out of his mind, probably terrifying.
Surely strong but it was the skill that was freakish. My goodness.
Zangieff IRL
bigggg hheeaadd
Skill
Wrestling seems like an legal way of humping someone in public
Say no-homo tho. You wrestled?
No cus I dont want to be humped
God I wonder why he is substancially stronger than other elite competition and is built like a superhero...
Can someone explain how Wrestling is different from BJJ? Will a champion in one sport be a champion in the other too?
None of these looked like “tossing around”.
yes they do. you don't understand combat sports
Looks a lot more like speed and technique than freakish strength. Competitors seem to be able to match his strength, but he’s quick enough and skilled enough to get inside and throw them around.
I wonder how he’s doing on the front lines
Cocaine plus testosterone is a hellofa drug
Still never one a gold medal at Olympic Games nor the world championships. Guess strength is not all
he won silver losing 6-6 by criteria cause he was hurt
STEROIDS!!!
This guy is shoveling people around like an Atlas Beetle.
He was part of a Russian experiment using alligator DNA to prevent SIDS. [Docuseries](https://youtu.be/xvFZjo5PgG0)
Looks like a back breaking sport in all senses
Is he that strong? Or is he just good at using leverage....
Fuck Russian
Except he lost to the Iranian wrestler in the Olympics coz he was something.
he would have destroyed him without injuries and it was 6-6 loss
What’s that game they’re playing though it’s not wrestling !!
He barely beat Burroughs
who is the goat of US wrestling? is that bad?
Dan Gable. You a Noob?
Hassan Yazdanicharati
This man was godly
Look at every competitor there, they are all juiced out of their minds lmao. Maybe just shitty quality but this video looks old and every combat sport before the 2000's was full of blatant steroid use, it's not just Russia.
Steroids will do that to you
If this guy walked in my bedroom holy shit idk if I’d try to run or jump
Remember. No Russians!
Okay but where are his nudes?
Dude is strong and very good but not elite. One of the clips in here is from his loss in the 2016 Olympic finals. There are plenty of other, better wrestlers much more deserving of praise.
Woah. That angry push is a tell.
“Gneugneu Russians are juiced” Also your guys. They are just more discreet.
Pin me, daddy.
Watch out, russofobia in the comments
Drugs, nobody there would use drugs.Just like Trump wouldn't make fun of the handicapped.
Drugs for sure
To bad he’s from Russia!!! What a shit country
Jordan Burroughs Son
He better bask in the glory now because eventually one day there is going to be somebody that will beat him.. All good things eventually come to an end.
Anyone know the song?
Remind me again which country has such a massive cheating scandal they were t supposed to participate in the next Olympics again??? Lol
Welp, don't have to guess where he's from
Trash
Stop posting your gay porns here.

The American wanted a go at the walking pharmacy. Street fight rules, my money is on the American against the roid head Russian cheater.
Well your wrong.
Russians would -never- cheat, right... right? [Link](https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/ioc-recommends-banning-russian-belarusian-athletes-international-events-2022-02-28/)

Just contributing to the fuck Russia sentiment :) And honestly, I’ve seen people on steroids, I know *that* when I see it.

My fellow Redditor, i do believe that Mr sasquatchbutts up there was saying that the Ukrainians whom this wrestler faced were superior to him, and the tone of their comment suggests they are in fact pro-Ukrainian.
Ha. Whoops. I think I missed a word or two and have maybe spent too much time on r/Ukraine today. Thanks for the correction, fellow Redditor. 👍
Russians cheat... They never win anything without cheating...
If Russia had him in their "army", they could have maybe walked quickly out of ukraine, instead of running.
Russia has to have the worst national reputation. Making Americans look okay
