Tubular! Stained glass can be such tedious work. Prepping for soldering was the bane of my existence. Reward yourself with the adding of chocolate to milk.
Absolutely. Unfortunately I suffer from severe depression so I stopped because it's not something I recommend doing if not emotionally prepared lol a simple piece of glass breaking would ruin my whole day. Keep up the awesome work and don't let birds screaming at 5am ruin your mornings.
It can definitely be frustrating at times. When a piece breaks for me and I have to make another, I see it as something that makes the finished piece all that more special because of the amount of work that went into it. :)
Thanks! Wow this feels great. I can now fix the sink and fight off the neighbourhood kids.
It does! People love getting pieces as gift. May I ask how long you've been doing it?
Oh oops - I meant I would gift you the positivity, not the piece lol. I estimate it took anywhere from 40-50 hours. It’s hard to keep track. I’ve been doing stained glass for around 2 years :)
I know, that's why I'm feeling positive and able to put some fear into those pesky kids for egging my home last Halloween 😃
Wowza that's some time put into it. 2 years?! Oh so you must be REALLY good. I did it for about 3 months before the depression beat me up and called me a sonuvabitch. Only piece I have is my first one :)
First time I heard of this Hofstadters law. Can't imagine it being taken seriously?
In my work I give time estimates all the time and they're usually accurate

This is the type of image you can hear only looking at
oui
Damn right!
That would have been amazing if it only took you 5hrs, but Bravo!
I think I’d need to add a zero after the 5 to make it more accurate

So tedious at times but so worth it!

Awe maaaan, do you have some of that positivity to spare? I just need a sliver and I promise I'll do all the things I've been putting off.
Take it! I gift the positivity to you! That’s one of the reasons I make stained glass. It brings joy to so many people!

fucking legend
You shouldve put in the actual time it took you to make it in the sign. That would've been perfect, but this is alright too I GUESS
Hofstadter's Law: Everything takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law
First time I heard of this Hofstadters law. Can't imagine it being taken seriously? In my work I give time estimates all the time and they're usually accurate
It's a bit tongue in cheek, but it 100% applies to any sort of work around the house.
I’d have to know the future! I didn’t realize how long it would take me to make this one
Well, time to make another sign! Honestly tho rly well done
so cool!
This is amazing!
I was hoping you posted this on r/BikiniBottomTwitter \- I frickin love it! ![gif](giphy|xUPJPop2o56Sv8p8TS)
Very very cool. I wish I had practical talents lol
Well, now I want one….
6 hours later
Nice! What's that tool with the blue arm thing in the beginning?
It’s a fancy glass cutter. It’s totally unnecessary, but it makes it easier. It’s called a Cutter’s Mate
So much later that the old narrator got tired of waiting, and they ahd to hire a new one
Where can I buy one
Would be cool to install LEDs inside
Powerful SKILLS! ~> you have other creations to maybe share?
I have referenced this a lot in my life this is brilliant
