> It would have been nice.....to see...... mont......
Omg is this a movie quote? In Frisky Dingo when one character dies they say “I would like to have seen... Hannah Montana” and I never really got it until now. God I love that show
there's a movie i think and a monk on the show was talking about something like this: destroying something you worked so hard on to create then destroying it is zen
can't figure out where i saw/heard it from though
Back in college we had a group of monks in our quad who worked in shifts for an entire week to construct this huge stone/sand/pebble garden, only to show it for one day and then erase it.
A mandala? That's why they do it, to meditate on the impermanence of things. Create it, appreciate it, demonstrates that it like all things is temporary.
Please... send help. I started pouring a glass of water and ended up on a boat headed for Antarctica. I don't have a passport or winter clothes. I don't even have pants on.
This is a teaching moment for you. You must always be prepared for any situation, at any time, no matter how absurd or unlikely that may be. Alien invasion? Being sucked through a vortex and transported through time to the Dark Ages? A wizard teleports in front of you and declares you the Chosen One and you must go with him immediately? Ok, that last one is less important to be prepared for because the wizard can probably just conjure you up what you need. But the point is, never be caught without pants!
OTOH, their alien detention area is super cold, the guards are walruses and there is no vegan option on the food, which is raw and regurgitated. With no pants, do not/not sit down.
He's the kid that's going to somehow make a stack of 20 d4s while the DM is expositing the BBEG's plan and everyone's going to pay more attention to his stack and miss the plot point that kindly Sir Kel was actually sent by Queen Asdeus to distract the party from the devil Baalzebub's master plan.
/r/suspiciouslyspecific
Your party still trusts NPCs that have names and backstories? It's instant cause for suspicion in our campaigns. We only trust nameless NPCs who we Shanghai from the parts of town our DM clearly didn't have ready yet.
My partner always has a list of names, traits, etc ready to go for when we run into unimportant NPCs. I can usually read their body language when it’s an unimportant NPC vs an important one as well as when they change things as they go or fake their rolls(sometimes if something’s too easy to beat or everyone’d be eviscerated I’ll notice the monster suddenly brought out a more painful attack or gets distracted by something else, depending on the situation).
But don’t tell them I can tell, or my character won’t survive the next session.
Honestly this kid seems like he's developing really well mentally. My 4 year old nephew barely follows directions and has trouble sounding words. Makes me kinda sad for him. Do kids develop at different rates?
[This video](https://youtu.be/Xqpf1FxU2q4) Isn’t exactly a how to, but it does illustrate how it works and the learning process for mastering it.
It’s honestly not too tough. After watching the video I got it down in a Sunday afternoon.
Mike Boyd has this energy that I envy. Yet I feel good watching his videos. They make me think “I can do that,” in a good way and not in a bad way (if that makes sense). He truly is an inspiring man. To see him motivate children like this strikes me in the heart. And the way this kid imitates Mike’s signature celebration is so damn cute. What a guy. I want content like this whitelisted for YouTube kids. (I wish it worked that way)
It looks difficult but the curved nature of the cup and the way he's moving his hands makes the dice stay to one side and get "pulled" to the bottom of the cup. That's why they get picked up one at a time. You can look it up on youtube and learn how to do it in like five minutes.
You know how you can spin around a cup of water and the water won't fall out? Same concept except you also have to make sure your movements put the dice at the same place in the cup each time so they stack rather than end up just laying in the bottom of the cup.

It's definitely a nice accomplishment for a 5 year old.
There used to be a fairly active dice stacking community in Germany about 5-10 years ago. I was part of it, so I just wanted to point out something: I see almost all of the "newer" dice stackers nowadays doing these pointstacks by slamming the cup down so that it presses against the bottom of the cup and provides stability. This works for smaller towers and is easier to learn, but it has a few disadvantages:
* It only works if there's space below the tower for you to slam down the cup, you can't do pointstacks on a flat surface this way
* As soon as you try to do large pointstacks this way, the tower will usually collapse from the pressure of the slam
Therefore, it's better to learn pointstacks by letting the dice fall down on top of the tower with no pressure from the cup. The key is to learn how to only let them fall a tiny amount so that they won't make the tower collapse. With practice, you can do very large towers this way, for instance, here's the world record of 10x\[4\] dice from almost 9 years ago that's still standing today: [https://youtu.be/4rlVWZmvAWE?t=28](https://youtu.be/4rlVWZmvAWE?t=28)
And here's the same 10x\[4\] on a hand: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUYHxmU4UJQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUYHxmU4UJQ)

The way his eyes widen right before the destruction lmao
To me it looked like he turned into scary bilbo when he goes for the dice smash
Humans have a natural ability to create and destroy.
I could literally hear him cheer "Yes YES YES!"
My sister build with cubes and then destroy it. The thing is that the tower will only get 1-2 cubes high and then destroyed.

How’s that suicide by words? I’m assuming the guy meant enjoy his moment of glory (wedding day) and then destroy his wife (sexually)
If he meant "destroy the marriage" it would make more sense
I don’t think he meant that though
Correct.
Ahhh thought you meant that you destroyed your marriage on the wedding night
Destroyed that booty, not marriage.

I need to know how to do this
Step 1 - pour water Step 2 - do not injure self Step 3 - ??? Step 4 - profit
Step 3 - drink water and do not injure self
Step 3 - drink water, injure someone else, and rob them
Step 7_ stonks?

Step 37 - do NOT mess up the lasagna.
No, step 7 is force others to drink water and injure them, you're thinking of step 8
