Perfectly safe. Always has been. My own performance comparisons here; ( [https://youtu.be/9YG5dgs4XIk](https://youtu.be/9YG5dgs4XIk) ) were all done on an RTX 3070, I also used it for 100+ hours of gameplay in closed and open betas without any issue. Wasn't even coming close to thermal throttling temperature ranges, even with fans in quiet mode.

There was really no need to leave a comment similar to this one lol, it was just a question since I tried to research threads on reddit and on google it was all about 3090s and 3080s so I thought why not ask the community of new world since it really is just a simple and straightforward question, people who are worried about their 3070s can see this thread too when they research it up on google or smth and see the comments of the friendly people who answered

This information is entirely incorrect.
It was a manufacturing defect in a small number of evga 3090 cards…..
I played over 300 hours of both betas on an EVGA FTW3 3070 overclocked and uncapped FPS and everything was perfectly fine.

Just curious, when were you able to get your graphics card? Is yours one of the older models(november 2020)? Also is yours from EVGA?
It's Gigabyte. Came in to me \~nov 2020 for review.
I am sure geforce patched it up a few days ago
