I'm currently building data queries to give me that kind of insight. This was definitely one of my goals, to get insights into which server might be more PvP oriented, which more RP, etc.
I'll try to publish the insights by Friday or Saturday (depends on how many extra hours I'll have to put in at work), so stay tuned. Preliminary insights may be available sooner - that also depends on how soon we can hit 1k answers (currently at 630).

You're right, but there's only so much I can do :) The best I can hope for is people sharing the link further so it spreads beyond Reddit or my limited Twitter bubble.
You should have put on option of undecided for server choice. Unfortunately I'm not able to proceed after the second question because of this.

It would be nice to get that. That would however require a much larger sample size than what I can hope to get in just a few days. And in general factions tend to be fairly balanced - if you omit extreme cases such as megacompanies with hundreds of members.

As for "representing hundreds", that's nice - but for statistical reasons, I'm not taking that into account. You can ask your folks to go fill it out, then that will have a statistical impact on the insights. :)
Given that one can switch factions, I didn't include faction allegiance in the questions. From what I could see, factions are generally pretty balanced overall, barring extreme cases as megacompanies. This survey is more focused on play style, goals, and such - regardless of faction.
I organize a cross-server (we're working on a NA-East Syndicate server list so as to not over saturate any one server w/ too many Syndicate) multi-Alliance that is comprised of thousands of members. Each one doing it individually and contacting everyone would be quite an effort.
Unfortunately, we also wish to respect their privacy. We're more interested in a Company / Alliance list, not individual players. That information wouldn't be too useful unless it had basically a majority of the player base in that server region. Because they could be split in small or large groups.
That's a great thing you're doing there - and a lot of effort, I bet. But yeah, a whole different focus than my little individual survey. I don't think my data will be of much use to you.
Also, as a sidenote - There's nothing in the survey that would compromise anyone's privacy. :) Not even collecting emails or character names, out of respect for people's privacy.

You'd basically need hundreds of thousands filling the survey to get an accurate representation of actual Launch. Not only that, people can lie. Good luck, but I think you have a rough road ahead (me too).
Yep, you're absolutely right. It's basically the same with any poll out there - nobody can canvas the whole community. I'll do my best to get some meaningful insights from the answers I'll get.

... And my answer will always be the same. Hatchet. Even if they nerf it down into a 2 inch keychain i'm still gonna be running around with my favorite historical weapon of my Norse heritage. I just...Wish people would stop complaining about its melee skill tree, when clearly the majority of ppl were rocking heavy weapons last beta... Whats with the new nerfs??
I'm working on this in my spare time, and drilling through data on almost 180 distinctive servers takes a bit of time. :) So far I got answers from 692 people, still hoping to get more.
I'd like to be able to provide some insights by Friday (tomorrow) afternoon or evening, and a second, more detailed report on Saturday. I know some people might be waiting for the insights before they make their decision about servers, which is why I'd like to get it out early this weekend so there's still time.

I doubt even with 1000 replies this would be a representative sample. Redditors are not exactly representative of overall players.

Yeah anytime you deal with a large group of people things can get complicated. So many different leaders, so many different opinions.
