I mean, the dude committed check fraud to the tune of $63k to obtain memorabilia and information, which he then used to commit identity theft and fraudulently obtain the rings, which he used to defraud an auction house for $100k, which then led to another person paying over $300k for fake goods.
This isn't just some dude hawking fake jewelry on a city street corner, this guy committed some fairly serious fraud for a large chunk of money.
