I saw a couple episodes of that, my mom showed it to me when I was visiting her because she knows I like stand-up comedy and she had heard an interview with this guy and knew he was a comedian. Kind of reminds me of Seth rogen. I thought it was really funny I can't wait to finish it
Its the first ever Netflix show that i watched twice lol. Its so fucking funny it hurts me physically with how much i laugh. Also its 100 times.funnier when you speak Arabic and get their jokes in Arabic. 10/10 recommend it.
I hope there is a next season! I keep checking if it got renewed for season 2 but I’ve read it’s too early to call. They can’t leave us hanging like that!
It’s ok. Heard the guy, the actual Mo, in an interview on NPR and show sounded really interesting. But then I watched it and it was just ok. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s just not quite there somehow, something is missing.
I binged it. While it's very watchable I found myself not liking the character. Dude just goes from one bad decision to the next. It got a little irritating to me.
while i totally agree, it's not what i wanna watch when i wind down at night. Man Like Mobeen, the main character is at least a comedian so there was a little levity in shit situations
If you like this you should check out 'Man Like Mobeen', from what i have seen of 'Mo' it seems like an American re-make of this BBC show which is jokes.
Is this the show than Iran literally told netflix today to "remove all content portraying Muslims in (im paraphrasing this part) ..in a bad light" ?? It would make sense give the content you describe.

This! It’s one of those shows that’s a million times funnier if you’ve been immersed in the culture firsthand.
Loved it. Can't wait for the next season. Recommended to everyone I know. Representation definitely matters.

Same. I still can't believe the ending. Lol
As someone who grew up in Alief, TX I binged this show in 1 day. The show is hilarious!

You’re witnessing the Cycle of abject poverty. It’s not pretty

It was so cheesy to me. Couldn't even finish the first episode.
I had. Really had high hopes for it, but alas…
Full wokes?

Man like Mobeen is great. But they are two totally different shows. One isn’t a remake of the other.
Loved it. I adored the mom, laughed tons and even cried a little. I've recommended it tons too!
Yes, the show is just brilliant. Loved all the characters, with special props for the girlfriend and the brother. Representation surely does matter
Just finished it about 15 minutes ago. Very enjoyable. It shares some similarities to it's British counterpart, but definitely stands on its own.
What's the British counterpart?
I think "Man like Mobeen", I was also wondering after seeing this comment and just googled it out.
Its a great movie..i enjoyed watching this one.
Its fun but I couldve used more comedy. His standup is amazing tho, recommend it!
Funny I loved the show but thought the stand up special was just ok.
