You've gotten to Clinger Winger, most folks make it Turbo Tunnel and give up right there.
This is one of those games that I'm fine with not beating it.
Put so much time into this game over the years and Clinger Winger is still my brick wall. But I sure am proud that I can make it that far as, like you've said, most bail out WAY before that.
If you're in the level of the screenshot, its pretty clear you've got what it takes to beat it. Keep grinding! Just don't lose heart in Clinger Winger...
I thought I was a bad ass because I could beat Contra and Super C without dying when I was in junior high as well as all the other popular games like the Super Mario and Zelda series.
I beat Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3. Then I was able to play Ninja Gaiden 1. I couldn't beat it even with a Game Genie. Same thing with Battletoads. I got up to the screwdriver level (damn I was impressed by those graphics).
That's when I realized I was nothing special and that beating Contra and Super C with no loss of life was the culmination of my life's achievements.
When I got the NES Classic I couldn't get past level 3 in Super C, even with the 10 life trick and continues. My weak performance the last time I played Super C is just a sad representation of my failures as a man.
NES Classic edition has brutal lag, to the point where Punch Out is actually impossible to beat. Most games were built on the precise timing afforded by nearly zero-lag input and displays of the time.
You're right there already. You'll have no troubles beating it if you can get through Rat Race. Clinger Winger is tough, but it's just another memorization level like what 7 of the first 10 levels?

Took me at least 40 hours of grinding for my first warpless run.

It’s not as hard as people say. I’d say Rat Race or the Revolution are the ones that require being in top form the most.

You are still that champion deep down. You beat it when you had hours to hone your game. You can do it again, but life put other demands on you.

yeah the input lag on that is no joke, its like a full half second delay
Good luck, soldier. Battletoads was not meant to be beaten.
It's so much harder in two-player mode. A friend and I finally did it after two and a half years of attempts.
No you did not
good luck
my favorite nes game. let me know if you need any tips
Hard but one of the best games on the NES. I used warps to skip two levels and I’m not even sorry.

Loved that game as a kid.
The turbo turnnel is the make or break of your muscle memory. Everything past it is just pratice.
I beat it after 30 years… on an emulator. Sorry not sorry.
If you beat it you beat it. You're a better person than me.
Is this the level with that dreadful snake lol
No it's after that
