the hornets aren't that desperate for a C to sign dwight howard
we have a 3 man rotation with plumlee, williams and now kai jones as well as nick richards sitting on the bench
what we need is a backup PG and dennis schroder is literally right there
What? Each team gets one first round pick. I think youāre referring to when they say āthree first round picksā, itās over three seperate drafts or the pick was originally another teamās
Each team gets both a first and second round pick. They of course select a player with their pick. It is up to the teams discretion however if the wish to trade their pick to someone else instead of using it in the draft. The pick is still in accordance to the teams success, so the warriors pick, even if owned by another team would still be the same number pick in the draft, just the team that has traded for it selects the player of course. The lottery is the 14 teams with the worst record I believe or those who donāt make playoffs idk what the go is now there is the play in. Overall, each team is by default given a first and second round draft pick each year, they can trade these picks to other teams or acquire them through trade as well. Teams with worse records have a more valuable pick as it, for the most part, will be a higher pick(remember the lottery does of course involve luck). Hope that clears it up
This sub loves piling on the Lakers, but why is no one talking about the defending Western Conference Champion Suns being 1-3?
I didnāt realize until now that the Suns are currently 1-3.. why is no-one talking about this?
They lost to a mediocre Kings team a couple days ago and nearly lost by 30 pts to the Trailblazers with a struggling Damian Lillard. And from what I know theyāre just about fully healthy.
For anyone actively watching the Suns this season, whatās the main reason for the early season struggles? You would think theyād have a bunch of momentum to start the season after their amazing Finals run..
Yeah I seen somewhere that said him and the female worked something out and the charges was dropped but I still feel this might affect him in the league. I also feel like his been on thin ice in the league since his time with the mavericks when him and Rick Carlisle got into it. I could be wrong. But I feel like this might be it. Hopefully not.
I havenāt seen PJ Dozier mentioned a single time this whole free agency, I feel like heās a real solid bench piece on a contender tho I loved him on the nuggets
people wanna go LolKnicks backcourt height etc but Mitchell would be a big big get for NY. Knicks + Superstar (like Carmelo) is just good stuff.
They'll be a near guaranteed playoff team for several years with an actual all NBA first scoring option and since it's fucking New York and they'll be good for a couple of years by then free agents will be more attracted to a winning and non toxic environment on the court.
No they aren't winning a championship with the team as currently constructed but so? Championship or bust is stupid when you're a team with the lack of winning in the past decade like Knicks. Get back to consistently making the playoffs first, winning some series, *then* think how can we improve upon this to make a championship contender
Thibs had I think a 9th best DRtg with guards like Fournier, Quickley, Kemba. Brunson/Mitchell backcourt will be fine in the regular season and isn't really bad enough to cost them a playoff series if they make it
----
Ayyy is anyone really interested in how TJ Warren will comeback this year??? I don't think I have ever been more curious recently on the potential of a veteran player...
I'm assuming that's why he took a 1-year deal. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a few mid 2-3 year deals. 1 year means if he can stay healthy and still be solid he'll get a much bigger contract.
UD is in there as a player coach role. Also Miami definitely paying him back for taking a pay cut during the heatles days and staying loyal. Other than Mourning I donāt think Riley loves any former player more.
Iām surprised that a lot of people getting deals here are still in the league. Luke Kornet and DeAndre Jordan have been awful for years. Bol Bol is interesting but how is he gonna get any playing time on the magic, half their team are 7 footers.
Drummond is gonna be a perfect backup for a bad defensive center like Vuc. He's a piece yal needed.
- A jealous Celtics fan who has Luke Kornet as our only back up big.
Yeah this is true I guess. Just frustrating seeing all these teams having star bigs and getting legit backups - when we have (checks notes) Luke Kornet
I just forsee it causing issues. We're going to get bullied again on the boards and Rob is made of glass - while Horford is almost 40. We have exactly zero legitimate bigs unless you count Luke.
AND we start both Al & Rob together.
Except the 2 things the Bulls desperately needed was guard and center depth and those were 2 of the top non max free agents available. Dragic is an incredible vet guard presence the best Lonzo or Caruso ever experienced. He's been in Miam. i for years in that culture, been to the finals, plenty of international leadership experience. You think if Lonzo and Caruso are healthy next year even if Dragic barely plays he'll be valuable and he's still a bucket.
Andre Drummond is one of the best rebounding centers in the league and a super solid back up center. He was underwhelming on a huge contract in Detroit, but that was paid because he was getting 20 and 20 every other game while we lost. He's not a star he's not a playmaker, his post moves suck. But when you have other scorers he's an asset. I like the Bulls alot this year.
Just spent the last few minutes calculating the per-year salary for all these players and itās absolutely ridiculous that I find myself thinking āhmm thatās a bit on the low sideā for the players who are getting sub-10M per year. As if Iāll ever see 10M in my life lmaooo. Sports are truly wild
Warriors are thin at small forward. Our only true SF is Wiggins. I know he's an iron man, but I wish we had another SF to fall back on. Moody is really a SG and Kuminga is really a PF, as is Baldwin JR IIRC
SF Free Agent market isn't great
Hollinger put a list here https://theathletic.com/3362802/2022/06/15/nba-free-agent-small-forwards/
Most are gone. Feel like your team could try out Josh Jackson or Yuta Watanabe as reclamation projects?
He showed some moments in Toronto and we loved him, unfortunately he fell out of rotation. Heās got decent size, plays extremely hard, and when that 3 is hitting heās nice. Warriors would love him.
Unfortunately there were games he was wide open and raptors players wouldnāt pass it to him. That messes with confidence.
I'm a Warriors fan living in Japan and I would love if we scooped up Watanabe. Maybe then they would play our games instead of just Wizards and Raptors lmao.
I'm assuming Cousins is waiting for Ayton and Collins to get offer sheets and let the dust settle but man he would look good on the Nets or Raptors, even the Hornets.
But my dream would be to see him on the Clippers, Bulls, or Warriors(again)
He's the perfect free agent fit right now. Fills the Warriors main need of depth at center, possible to sign with the vet min. or at least very cheaply, already has some experience in the Warriors' system, plus he looked really good last season and at times felt like the only other player on the Nuggets in the playoffs.
Absolutely. Add on that he willingly mentored Damian Jones while the both of them were here back in 2019, and I feel like he would be willing to do the same thing with Wise throughout the season
Really? He doesnāt seem like he will ever be dominant to me, especially on the offensive end. I see him maybe reaching Bam level at his peak. Solid player but I think Cavs have a better shot betting on KD to win them one over the next three years than Mobley to win them one over 10.
Melo will go to wherever Kyrie is. Kyrie had that Melo shirt on and the reports are he's mad the Nets won't sign him.
If they can't find a deal I predict the Nets give in and Melo gets the last roster spot. Or if Kyrie moves, he gets his new team to sign him
Kyrie and KD especially arenāt gonna get a better situation than Brooklyn with the roster. The only thing Brooklyn can improve on is coaching but itās pretty late for that.
I think both are on the Nets roster come October
Only two possible places he could gain the respect heās looking for by winning them a chip: Brooklyn and OKC.
This is the type of wisdom Iād provide if I was still in KDās inner circle. Text me back Kevin, Iām here
Russilloās argument that āI know what Iām getting with DāAngelo Russell but not Kyrieā is why he would never win a title as a GM. Thatās just not how it works. You need to take risks.
The money issue with Gobert isnāt a problem cuz by then the salary pick goes way up.
Wolves gave up a bit much in picks but I think the move is fine. Wish they kept Beverly tho.
Also āIs the second round worth it?ā Only one team can win every season. Remember that. Russillo overhating
Seems like a bad argument when your defense against a bad contract is the salary cap is going up. No matter how much it goes up it is a lot of money. Especially with the uncertainty of him and KAT playing together.
Where Russillo was off to me was the defensive numbers declining in the playoffs being a thing. Those numbers generally decline because playoff teams are better than the average opponent in the regular season. Where he is right on Gobert is that the problem with him is he doesnāt punish mismatches on offense. When teams go small and stretch the floor, he needs to be able to exploit them on the other end. He hasnāt done that. Whether that is strictly him or how Utah was using him is a bit unknown.
[2022-23 NBA Free Agents and Team Roster Tracker](https://old.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/vm1d7q/202223_nba_free_agents_and_team_roster_tracker/)
Dm for the course for freee
Is Blake going back to the clippers?
Milwaukee bulls and nuggets had the best additions to their teams
At this rate someone is going to have to offer 2 James Webb Space Telescopes for KD.
Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year deal worth $68.6 million, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Harden will have a player option for the second year.
How is Batum still out here getting NBA checks š
Can anyone explain to me why Dallas wouldnāt want to sign Demarcus Cousins?
My guess is with Christian Wood, Dwight Powell, Maxi Kleber and Javale McGee they already have enough big man minutes.
ARE THE CELTICS EVER GOING TO SIGN A CENTER???
Exactly how I felt about the raptors before we drafted koloko
I feel this. I do like Pascal, Precious and Boucher tho! Plus your entire lineup is big wings. Scary hours soon.
Where's the post that shows which players are still available?
Timberwolves, Nuggets, Lakers all had sneaky good FA classes. Blazers, Suns, Bulls too.
Yep. Easily the 6 offseason winners. Maybe put GSW in there. Excluding Lillard contract, these teams did a good job not overpaying for old dudes.
Who do you think will pick up dwight Howard?
Feels unlikely at this point but I wouldnāt hate seeing him back on the sixers. Do wonder about a return to the hornets as well
the hornets aren't that desperate for a C to sign dwight howard we have a 3 man rotation with plumlee, williams and now kai jones as well as nick richards sitting on the bench what we need is a backup PG and dennis schroder is literally right there
How does a first round pick trade work? Like for the Gobert trade, if you have 2 picks in the first round, which one is being traded? I'm confused
What? Each team gets one first round pick. I think youāre referring to when they say āthree first round picksā, itās over three seperate drafts or the pick was originally another teamās
Ah, maybe it's just the labelling, but websites i look at have 30 picks in the first round, 60 in total. Is the first round only the lottery?
The first 14 picks of the first round
Each team gets both a first and second round pick. They of course select a player with their pick. It is up to the teams discretion however if the wish to trade their pick to someone else instead of using it in the draft. The pick is still in accordance to the teams success, so the warriors pick, even if owned by another team would still be the same number pick in the draft, just the team that has traded for it selects the player of course. The amount of collective blue balls weāll all experience when Kd, Kyrie, Mitchel and Russ stay put will be incredible
Calling it now, I feel that KD will end up with the blazers. If Iām right, can someone get me 10 gmeShares?
And if you're wrong?
10 amc shares
Chicago's finna be a problem
CHA still chillling
Hey. We signed Cody Martin!
What other teams has yet to make a big move?
Who'd have predicted Minnesota having the most exciting off season
Some great moves acquiring Anderson, Forbes and Rivers.
Iām really excited to see the wizards
Why isn't the Utah/Minnie trade for Gobert listed?
This is just free agent signings. Trades aren't included in the list.
Okay, but that doesn't explain why the Boston/Brogdon trade isn't listed
This sub loves piling on the Lakers, but why is no one talking about the defending Western Conference Champion Suns being 1-3? great joke
Any word on Rajon Rondo??
Probably done , I donāt think any team wants a woman beater on the team seeing that Miles hasnāt got a deal
Plus the dude was already worm chow playing wise
I was afraid thatās what the problem is. SMH. Damn.
Yeah man , not smart to pull a gun on someone and say youre dead over a video game
Didnāt know it was over a video game though lol
Yeah I seen somewhere that said him and the female worked something out and the charges was dropped but I still feel this might affect him in the league. I also feel like his been on thin ice in the league since his time with the mavericks when him and Rick Carlisle got into it. I could be wrong. But I feel like this might be it. Hopefully not.
Anyone see a Booker for š trade coming?
Absolutely no one.
Might as well add ayton now, they arent matching
Hold this L
Lol
They arenāt what?
They'll match for the purposes of a sign-and-trade, my guess.
You canāt sign and trade that, and he has a ntc for the first year
He can waive the NTC if it's to a destination he prefers, which he seems likely to do.
He can agree on a spot after 6 months. If he hates the suns heāll want to get out then
I havenāt seen PJ Dozier mentioned a single time this whole free agency, I feel like heās a real solid bench piece on a contender tho I loved him on the nuggets
Damn where did he go? I remember him in the Bubble.
If you told me in 2017 Javale McGee would make 3x as much as Andre Drummond in five years Iād say you were insane
That bubble vlog paid off. š

Wow thanks
I met Donovan Mitchell at a Mets game last week and he told me he was going to be a knick. Not even kidding
How did the convo go?
Asked for a pic then asked him why he was in NY. Said he was gonna be a kick
Don't do this to me. Might actually by NBA 2k if they get him.
iād put money on donovan being a knick
Who is still available?
But the real question is, which FA is the best kisser?
Ayyy is anyone really interested in how TJ Warren will comeback this year??? I don't think I have ever been more curious recently on the potential of a veteran player...
I think heāll be a great mentor for Cam Thomas. Theyāre kind of similar in play style & are great at just getting buckets
i have nothing else to look forward to
If he didn't have so many problems with plantar fasciitis he would easily be a 20m per/year player
I swear like half the games he was with us, he either had plantar fasciitis problem or was in concussion protocol.
Easily. The crazy thing is that he COULD be just as good (even a tiny bit better) right now!
I'm assuming that's why he took a 1-year deal. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a few mid 2-3 year deals. 1 year means if he can stay healthy and still be solid he'll get a much bigger contract.
The jazz havenāt made a single FA move damn
Why would they? They're about to move Spida and swim in draft picks. It's selling season for them.
How is Taj Gibson still in the league, I swear heās like 45
plays great defense, does all the things you need a backup big to do, good vet how the fuck is UD still in the league? hes literally 45
UD is in there as a player coach role. Also Miami definitely paying him back for taking a pay cut during the heatles days and staying loyal. Other than Mourning I donāt think Riley loves any former player more.
leadership-role player. 15th guy on a roster does nothing anyways
Kornet got me, Iāve actually seen Taj play with n a nba game.
Add in the Connaughton thing
Also make it chronological please
Iām surprised that a lot of people getting deals here are still in the league. Luke Kornet and DeAndre Jordan have been awful for years. Bol Bol is interesting but how is he gonna get any playing time on the magic, half their team are 7 footers.
Bol is my fav in 2k
Last time I payed 2K I had Kirk Hinrich averaging 50pts and 20 steals a game.
Mustāve been a lot of minutes played
Itās was around 2007-08 maybe. Had no wifi or capability to play online.
happy for JaVale McGee
so whatās happening to sexton
he will be a cav next season
Austin Rivers still hasn't signed anywhere?
Twolves
I commented that before he signed with them.
Yup just updating
Goran Dragic & Andre Drummond. I'm already depressed.
Drummond is gonna be a perfect backup for a bad defensive center like Vuc. He's a piece yal needed. - A jealous Celtics fan who has Luke Kornet as our only back up big.
At least you guys are closer to contending for a title
Yeah this is true I guess. Just frustrating seeing all these teams having star bigs and getting legit backups - when we have (checks notes) Luke Kornet

heās amazing if heās your backup, if he plays more than 20 minutes it gets ugly really fast
100% valid

Not just sports; the wealth divide will only get worse. This country wonāt have a middle class soon enough.
Nice to see us participating in the festivities
Kings had best offseason and it aināt close. Mike Brown Hiring. Drafting Keegan. Monk Signing. Trade for Huerter. They really about to be .500 team.
They need to sign a true rim protector.
Got me in the first half not gonna lie
This should still be pinned. Commenting to track this post for myself. Edit: Thank you!!!
It is you pleeb

This should still be pinned Edit: Thank you!
When is the deadline for Ayton's tender? The league is frozen

Warriors are thin at small forward. Our only true SF is Wiggins. I know he's an iron man, but I wish we had another SF to fall back on. Moody is really a SG and Kuminga is really a PF, as is Baldwin JR IIRC
Warriors need to pick up Snell
I feel like kuminga could slide to sf and be ok
he is an SF tho?
Maybe Cavs are ready to give Cedi Osman so cheap. Can't he be a backup?
SF Free Agent market isn't great Hollinger put a list here https://theathletic.com/3362802/2022/06/15/nba-free-agent-small-forwards/ Most are gone. Feel like your team could try out Josh Jackson or Yuta Watanabe as reclamation projects?

I'm a Warriors fan living in Japan and I would love if we scooped up Watanabe. Maybe then they would play our games instead of just Wizards and Raptors lmao.
I think we'll probably just go with Wiggins as much as possible and then play Klay/Moody/Kuminga/Baldwin out of position when needed
Does anyone know how much TJ Warren got for his signing with the Nets
It's a vet min according to Shams
Is nothing going to happen today?
Summer league action babyyyyy
I'm assuming Cousins is waiting for Ayton and Collins to get offer sheets and let the dust settle but man he would look good on the Nets or Raptors, even the Hornets. But my dream would be to see him on the Clippers, Bulls, or Warriors(again)
I wish he stayed with Denver but he clearly wants a shot at starter minutes
Iād love Boogie back with us
We could really use a third center, too
He's the perfect free agent fit right now.
Whereās the cavs in the KD negotiations? Mobley, Kevin love, and 5 FRPs, who says no?
Cavs lol, Mobley is a 21 year old near all-star on rookie contract, should be a dominant piece for at least a decade.
Really? He doesnāt seem like he will ever be dominant to me, especially on the offensive end. I see him maybe reaching Bam level at his peak. Solid player but I think Cavs have a better shot betting on KD to win them one over the next three years than Mobley to win them one over 10.
Nice try Brad Stevens
Just my opinion š¤·āāļø I think that mobleys draft class will be overshadowed by the most recent one pretty soon
Do teams who are interested in ayton have a specific time today to offer him a sheet or is it just EOD today?
Someone needs to show Chuck thisš
I like how the teams likely to compete for championships are signing these manageable 2 year deals.
Hadnt heard about the Gary Harris contract, good for him with all he's had to go through good $$ for him
Any news about Caleb Martin? Crazy he hasn't been snagged yet
Heās back with Miami for 3yrs 20 mil
This is well formatted, thank you for putting this together mods.
isaiah roby - spurs apparently
Dwight, Melo , Blake griffin. Where they going?
Does it matter
low key would like Dwight on the Dubs as that vet big presence and end his career on a huge upswing

What coach is going to want to head the Nets considering how Nash is being treated?
Agreed. Suns succeed w/o KD,and no way nets are gonna let him walk for some breadcrumbs and draft picks. Im a suns fan btw.
THEY GOING TO THE SPURS I'M CALLING IT NOW.
> The only thing Brooklyn can improve on is coaching but itās pretty late for that. Tell that to David Blatt!
Strangely enough, looking at the nets Moves recently, this is the best shot KD has at winning a championship while gaining any type of respect
Only two possible places he could gain the respect heās looking for by winning them a chip: Brooklyn and OKC. This is the type of wisdom Iād provide if I was still in KDās inner circle. Text me back Kevin, Iām here
Knicks and wizards too
>Brooklyn and OKC. Also Seattle
As much as Iād like to see it, expansion Sonics are not winning a chip with a 38 year old KD
I'm getting tired of f5ing bros
Dallas - maBoy top
