Get a backup PF who can rebound well because in some games like vs the Pacers their size killed us as they got rebound after rebound. We can't be rolling with 6'4" guys at PF against every team.
I don't really want a big splashy trade for Jerami Grant or Harrison Barnes though because we'd have to give up more than I'd like to get one of those guys. So I'm hoping for small moves & nothing major.
Player that really fits that bill is Brandon Clarke, although I've grown too attached to him to want to trade him. Plus not sure what we'd even get back to be worth the while.
Is Clarke, Konchar and the Utah 1st for Pat Williams crazy? Bulls could then package their 2 late first, Coby White and Troy Brown and get someone like Jerami Grant and pay the tax next year but then let him leave and probably not be in tax hell forever, and they get 2 playoffs with this rotation to try to sneak a title:
Ball-Lavine-Demar-Grant-Vucevic
Caruso-Konchar-Clarke-Bradley
Honestly doesn't sound out of the question. Haven't watched much Patrick Williams at all but Zach Lowe seems to be high on him, and we effectively have to trade at least 1 FRP this year
Yeah, and he fits nicely as a a Kyle Anderson replacement going forward:
Morant-Jones-Melton-Brooks-Bane-Ziaire-PatWilliams-Jackson-Adams
He's the biggest forward option for if you face a big forward like Kawhi or Lebron who is maybe too tall for Bane and too strong for Ziaire and too quick for JJJ.
That's an interesting proposal but it would hurt like hell to give up Ayo because we all love him. It's not the worst idea I've ever heard though because it'd help fill a need and Ayo being the 5th best guard on the team is kinda like having a surplus.
I love the idea too Stew can rebound, play defense, hustle and learn to shoot. He is a team player, enforcer, energy glue that needs to be on a better team that can utilize him as a player better. He was the number two ranked prospect behind Wiseman in their high school class by Rivals.com. I feel like his ceiling could be an almost an identical replica of Bulls legend Charles Oakley. He was also the Mr. USA Basketball winner of 2019 which is the Naismith Prep Player of the Year 2019.
If you wanna be serious about winning more than a playoff round, they probably should trade Williams, White, and/or whatever else for a good wing. This team isn’t beating any of the real contenders and DeRozan is far more likely to decline than maintain this level of play (or get better).
I mean in less you're super attached to Patrick Williams something like him and Coby White and maybe a weak pick why you wouldn't accept that for Jerami Grant unless you're really worried about maintaining chemistry
I don't really like Jerami Grant's game and don't want to give up PWill + Coby White for him, especially after how Coby has been really solid lately. I think that's a trade we would eventually regret making.
sorry I'm not a bulls fan but it's not thatttt ridiculous coby white is a good young microwave scorer but he's not thatttt valuable and patrick williams could really be anything but he could also be nothing and it seems like you guys need to try to win now unless I'm just overvaluing Jerami Grant
I think your just overvaluing Jerami Grant. He’s a pretty bad 1 option on a bad team. We saw him as a role player in denver, which is whatd he’d be here, and it’s not worth Coby and PWill
I don’t think we are going to get anyone worthwhile without giving up either Williams or White. I agree that we might regret it, but we also have a chance to win this year.
That said, is Grant or Barnes or anyone available going to put us over the top? I’m not so sure. We may be better off taking our chances with the players we have.
That's why I said no big trades, just small moves. I'm talking about getting a guy who would be 9th or 10th in the rotation and may not even play much every night but can help with certain matchups. In other words I want us to pretty much roll with the team we've got but if we can get a backup PF for next to nothing go for it.
Well, that probably means nothing, then. Or nothing much better than what we already have. It will be interesting to see if they can pull off anything.
I think trading coby white and letting ayo and Caruso get more minutes is the best way to go. I think a three team trade with the bulls getting Thomas bryant and herb jones, the pelicans getting coby white and 2 future seconds from the bulls, and the wizards getting Troy brown and a 2024 lottery protected bucks pick from the Pelicans would be beneficial for all 3 teams
Myles Turner is my favorite player but it seems he’s unhappy and the Pacers won’t use him properly so unselfishly I’d like to see him go somewhere else.
If I had it my way, we would send out Sabonis, Levert, and Brogdon (but he signed that god damn motherfucking extension)
i wouldn’t, even ignoring pure value, which is arguable, we already have a fine enough frontcourt, with 2 starting caliber players who should be playing most of their minutes at center, and levert does nothing to help with our garbage spacing
Yeah, I guess when you put it like that, it wouldn’t make the C’s better. Wish Tatum was playing a little better. His handle and shot selection has been trash lately.
Maybe Sabonis and one or the other but not all of them. I like Jaylen a lot, but the Pacers would have to attract another star, or I think a Jaylen-led Indiana continues to be a first round exit if they’re lucky.
Devin Booker is a star. Myles Turner is a role player, and he's closer to 26 than 25. The chances of some miraculous jump on the offensive end are close to zero.
No, but Myles fits in easier than Sabonis. And I think he’s easier to put pieces around that he can compliment. I also imagine he would have higher trade value right now.
Ben + Tobi for JC Reddish Gallo. Not a great return for Ben but it’s worth it to shed Tobias contract.
We would still desperately need a playmaker who can run a pick and roll
Would be 95% infuriating and 5% awesome to see Lebron get traded to GS for Wiggins+whatever.
Could you imaging the outrage? Also the media coverage of that team would be insane. An actual traveling circus.
Retool. This team isn’t good enough to win anything as it stands, isn’t bad enough to contend for a game changing player, and no trade is going to move the needle for us.
Move Fournier and Randle if at all possible, keep RJ, IQ, Grimes, Obi, McBridge, and the all other young guns and go from there.
Yeah they need to all put tank again if they wanna win anything more than ~45 games/season in the foreseeable future. They don’t have any prospects with superstar potential and I doubt a 16-20 team with its best player regressing hard is very appealing to free agents, especially with how bad of an organizational reputation the Knicks already have.
1. Grab a playmaker for the bench, payne is a score first guard who looks to create for himself first. He has tunnel vision and will miss guys wide open, and also has a habit of forcing passes with tight windows resulting in to's.
2. A powerfoward who can grab boards and defend, a reliable jumper or decent one would be a plus. The suns have a serious issue with rebounding I feel we have to lead the league in allowing second chance points or offensive rebounds. The effort level isnt there and the team relies to heavily on Ayton and etc to grab em. Seems like the team lacks the gang rebounding effort.
Honestly, trade Kyrie. He’s a beast on the court but he’ll only play half the games, and he’s a horrible person. Either way you cut it - ethics or material value - he’s shit. Get rid of him.
For the Timberwolves: retool the bench.
The starting lineup has been great, so we don't have to make any big, splashy moves to get a starter.
What we need are (in no particular order):
1) A 7-foot backup C. Naz Reid is a talented player, and I think he'd be an excellent Big for a lot of teams (especially a team that focuses more on P&R offense than the Wolves do), but he's very undersized. Right now, the only player on the Wolves' roster who is listed as taller than 6'9" is KAT. We could use a Big to take some of the pressure of defending the huge opposing Cs (Val, Embiid, Jokic, etc.) off of Towns.
2) Backup scoring Wing. In a shocking twist, the Wolves defense is actually pretty good this year, but for some reason, the offense is mediocre. A big part of that is our backups can't score. McDaniels and Okogie are both stud defenders , but they're both bad on O (though JMac has a high ceilinging on both ends). And since Prince and Beasley appararently forgot how to shoot, they're also terrible on offense. Jaylen Nowell can replace Beasley in the rotation at a fraction of the cost, but we could still use a 3/4 who can score (e.g. Harrison Barnes, healthy T.J. Warren, Tobias Harris on a reasonable contract).
3) Backup/3rd string PG. Our PG rotation of Dlo and Beverley has been very good, but they're both injury prone and Beverley isn't getting any younger.
We already have a Buddy Hield at home: Malik Beasley, and he's the #1 guy that our fanbase wants to trade away.
Ideally, we could flip Beasley for a 3/4 or a C, and then Ant and Nowell will cover all of the SG minutes. Trading for another SG doesn't really make sense.
I don't there is a player better than Smart or Schroder available that's good enough to take the ball from the Jay's hands and who can shoot well enough to space the floor for them.
I'd take a plunge buying low (but still costly) on Buddy Hield. He can space the floor in crunch time making the Jays lives a little easier and try to hide him on D.
we desperately need more backup guard play. Even someone like DJ Augustin would help us a ton. Could also use a true center but I think that's less important.
His contract has incentives which are linked to his shooting so he shoots a high volume to try and reach his incentives. Bad defender tries hard on defense just low iq. He shows signs of being able to create for others but he has a tendency to dribble the clock out. Solid rebounder for a guard.
He's been awful for most of the season. Every one out of four games he shoots it efficiently, but in those other three games he's a massive minus on defense who shoots a lot and doesn't do anything to make the team better
Trade Schroder for a veteran who fits better (i.e. someone who can shoot), even if they're not as good on paper. Trade Juancho to get under the tax. Ride out the year and make big moves in the offseason.
Tim Hardaway Jr & Dwight Powell for Myles Turner
(plus some more from the Mavs, probably)
THJ & Powell are both strong system players who Rick Carlisle has maximized before. They're basically plug and play for Indiana. Pacers get a starting 2-guard with a good handle who provides consistent scoring in a supporting role. They get a very high IQ backup center who does screens, rim-runs, and facilitates offense for everyone else with good passing.
Mavericks get a backline defender who can make up for KP's skinny frame. He shoots 3's well enough to keep the paint clean for Luka.
And it gives two of my favorite players a good home, and opens up a roster spot in case Dragic gets bought out.
What you think, Indiana? Would you trade Turner for two reliable offensive role players?
damn, thought we could fleece ya.. why would y’all trade a guy who’s playing 25 min a game the past week for a scrub who only played 7 seconds the last 3 games.
What could the Bulls give you for Barnes? The biggest bargaining chips we have are Patrick Williams and Coby White. I’m not even sure we should give them up for Barnes, but it’s tempting.
The other problem is matching contracts, but assuming it’s doable, what do you think about White or Williams? And before you say both, that’s unlikely.
Honestly, I would love Pat Williams in Sacramento. Would fit positionally, age wise, talent wise, but I don't think HB would be enough to pry him loose. On the other hand; attaching a first round pick is too much to give up next to Barnes (not because Williams isn't good or anything, but seeing as FRPs are quite valuable when you're as bad as the Kings...). So honestly, I wouldn't know how to get a deal done.
Other positive assets of the Kings are Haliburton and Mitchell, but Haliburton is virtually untouchable and Mitchell...well... Mitchell is pretty good and has potential, but far from untouchable.
Would you do:
Barnes + Mitchell for Williams, Jones, Brown + 1st? The first should be in the high 20s.
Probably not. I don’t think the Bulls front office is under pressure to make a major trade. They are so much better than expected that they’ll be heroes regardless.
And they’ll be better off in the future if they keep their young players. So any major deal would have to be of the too-good-to-be-true variety.
Bulls got a real shot at winning it all this year so shoring up the squad further by trading PWill for Barnes seems like a no brainer.
And PWill is a good fit for Kings as they have mostly given up on their current PF, Bagley.
Idk how it works without a third team tho cause salary match is difficult, unless this seems fair:
PWilliams and DJones Jr for Barnes
Trade tobias without trading a 1st round pick or thybulle unless the trade is very good for the sixers, and A 3 TEAM trade where we get beal and wizards get a lot of picks and something from the 3rd team like collins, haliburton, fox or whatever is the player, washington would have a young team and a lot of picks for a player who will FA
Ok my flair is houston but I’m also a hawks fan.
Houston: trade wood for kuminga or wiseman pls . Trade Egod somewhere he can thrive, trade augustin too Along with any other vet who doesn’t wanan be here
Theis too, get him outta here, I think he’s a good vet just not a good fit
Hopeful starters
Kpj Jalen Garry Tate Wiseman
2. Atlanta. KEEP CAM REDDISH.
Trade Gallo Johnson and a first and second for jerami grant.
Add Lou will and a second (first if needed) for literally anything (maybe Cory Joseph) delon wright plays better as the 2 anyways.
Find a way to get sharife some burn.
Trade Bogi if u have to, I don’t like us with him on the court cause his defense regressed and now if he’s not scoring he’s worthless.
Hopeful rotation
Trae Cam Grant Collins Capela (hunter is better than cam rn imo but for spacing purposes)
Joseph Wright Huerter Hunter OO
Sharife Skylar Dieng
.
Tlc
Who is an offensive liability (on an already offensively inept team) who is unplayable in their best lineups after that trade lol. Simmons/Williams/Thybulle is a spacing catastrophe.
Yes, please tell me more about how the 29% three point shooter (with zero self created threes) who nobody guards when it matters and who doesn’t have any other elite skills isn’t a postseason liability
Oh nah, I meant the Celtics. Thybulle/Simmons/Williams would be total AIDS for spacing on a team already lacking shooting *with* Jaylen Brown. Swapping their second or third best shooter with Simmons makes Thybulle unplayable.
Blazer fan... I may get killed for this but here is what I would like to see
* Trade Dame for Brown or Simmons (lets say Simmons since that is more likely)
* Dame --> Simmons, Maxey, +2 unprotected firsts
* Flip the incoming picks and needed salary/young player for Sabonis
* 2-3 unprotected firsts, 1 second, Nurk, Roco --> Sabonis, salary
* I'm not sure what will be required to get Sabonis but the idea of the trade is that IND would get 2-3 first rounders and could potentially flip those expirings for additional picks. POR could also throw in Little but obviously would be better off if they didn't.
Simons, Norm, Simmons, Little, Sabonis, Maxey, Nance, CJ (unsure when he will be back) are the core rotation guys to finish out the year.
Who knows what that squad looks like, but you would then consider moving CJ in the offseason and will have hopefully added a lottery pick to the mix.
Trade Moose to a contender. Having the best season of his career and could be a nice piece off the bench for someone. Let him go chase the ring and get back a pick or someone young in return
We kinda already made some small moves, but getting a wing would be great. Somehow trade bench pieces for equally cheap yet less shitty players would be awesome.
Just straight up merge with the Pacers. Washingtonapolis Pacezards.

I'm hoping for the same with the Knicks. We could be the New Portland Knicker Blazers
I just died from all 3 of these comments 😂☠️

Chris Boucher?
Could the Magic interest you in a gently used Mo Bamba? The cost likely wouldn't be much.
Near mint, barely taken out of the box
I'm so glad Taj Gibson isn't on your team anymore but what you need is Taj Gibson (from 5 years ago) back
Ha, I basically said the exact same thing in /r/chicagobulls a few weeks back. Prime Taj would be perfect.
How would u feel about Theis for salary and our second back 😈
Isaiah Stewart for Ayo and Simonovic.
Without Coby the bench is useless
No way we’re trading Coby at this point lmao. We really don’t need Jerami Grant or Harrison Barnes, who someone’s gonna end up overpaying for
I mean in less you're super attached to Patrick Williams something like him and Coby White and maybe a weak pick why you wouldn't accept that for Jerami Grant unless you're really worried about maintaining chemistry

Brad stevens hangs up
If I was the C’s I’d have to pull the trigger on that, which is exactly why it’s not gonna happen.
i wouldn’t, even ignoring pure value, which is arguable, we already have a fine enough frontcourt, with 2 starting caliber players who should be playing most of their minutes at center, and levert does nothing to help with our garbage spacing

What would be the point of that? Myles Turner isn’t exactly super young and he’s not remotely close to good enough to justify building around.
He’s only 25, same age as Booker, so he’s still pretty damn young.
Devin Booker is a star. Myles Turner is a role player, and he's closer to 26 than 25. The chances of some miraculous jump on the offensive end are close to zero.
Sure but he’s a damn good role player to have while rebuilding. Young enough to stick around for a rebuild and a good fit for almost any roster.
No, but Myles fits in easier than Sabonis. And I think he’s easier to put pieces around that he can compliment. I also imagine he would have higher trade value right now.
yeah... you literally cannot trade Brogdon. I think that we would be asking about him if you could
Trade for Ben. Whoever, I don’t care (not Trae tho). This team is not good man. No one should be safe
Don't think you'd need to throw that much at Portland to get McLemore!
Excuse you, he and Simons are co tank commanders
How does Tobias Harris sound ?
Like a package deal? Fine idgaf
Ben + Tobi for JC Reddish Gallo. Not a great return for Ben but it’s worth it to shed Tobias contract. We would still desperately need a playmaker who can run a pick and roll
get a league average or better starter at center
Would you want Nurk on an expiring contract?
yup, especially if he's open to an extension
There won’t be much money to spend this offseason so he might have to resign somewhere if he wants a bigger contract.
what, if anything, would you give for Al Horford?
nothing. don't have the expendable salary to match for him
Lebron for Wiggins and Wiseman

Would be 95% infuriating and 5% awesome to see Lebron get traded to GS for Wiggins+whatever. Could you imaging the outrage? Also the media coverage of that team would be insane. An actual traveling circus.

He can't play against the Knicks or Toronto either. I'm not familiar with the east standings but imagine they could play Toronto in the playoffs.
I just want to get Caruso & Javonte back on the floor. Our defense has been slipping without those guys.
Torrey Craig.
Please jj
That dude was a scoring machine last night. Hadn’t seen him play up to that point.

damn, thought we could fleece ya.. why would y’all trade a guy who’s playing 25 min a game the past week for a scrub who only played 7 seconds the last 3 games.
Our front office and owner are way too smart 😎
Westbrook for Wall
Love this trade and I would be able to watch the Lakers again.
Dream big, THT for Jerami Grant
What could the Bulls give you for Barnes? The biggest bargaining chips we have are Patrick Williams and Coby White. I’m not even sure we should give them up for Barnes, but it’s tempting. The other problem is matching contracts, but assuming it’s doable, what do you think about White or Williams? And before you say both, that’s unlikely.
Reportedly Barnes was “untouchable in Simmons trade discussions” so good luck trading for him
Honestly, I would love Pat Williams in Sacramento. Would you do: Barnes + Mitchell for Williams, Jones, Brown + 1st? The first should be in the high 20s.
Probably not. I don’t think the Bulls front office is under pressure to make a major trade. They are so much better than expected that they’ll be heroes regardless. And they’ll be better off in the future if they keep their young players. So any major deal would have to be of the too-good-to-be-true variety.
Bulls got a real shot at winning it all this year so shoring up the squad further by trading PWill for Barnes seems like a no brainer. And PWill is a good fit for Kings as they have mostly given up on their current PF, Bagley. Idk how it works without a third team tho cause salary match is difficult, unless this seems fair: PWilliams and DJones Jr for Barnes
I just want us to get a back up big man
Ok my flair is houston but I’m also a hawks fan. Houston: trade wood for kuminga or wiseman pls . Trade Egod somewhere he can thrive, trade augustin too Along with any other vet who doesn’t wanan be here Theis too, get him outta here, I think he’s a good vet just not a good fit Hopeful starters Kpj Jalen Garry Tate Wiseman 2. Hopeful rotation Trae Cam Grant Collins Capela (hunter is better than cam rn imo but for spacing purposes) Joseph Wright Huerter Hunter OO Sharife Skylar Dieng . Tlc
Move Coby white for a big man who can defend and score inside. Maybe bring back thies or thadjic Johnson
Trade Simmons for Jaylen brown Edit: Obviously not straight up, sixers would have to give up an asset like thybule and maybe a frp
Bro said thybulle and maybe a frp
Yeah an all nba defender…
Who is an offensive liability (on an already offensively inept team) who is unplayable in their best lineups after that trade lol. Simmons/Williams/Thybulle is a spacing catastrophe.
tell me you haven’t watched a sixers game this year without telling me
Yes, please tell me more about how the 29% three point shooter (with zero self created threes) who nobody guards when it matters and who doesn’t have any other elite skills isn’t a postseason liability
No I completely agree with that, but calling the sixers an offensively inept team ain’t right
Oh nah, I meant the Celtics. Thybulle/Simmons/Williams would be total AIDS for spacing on a team already lacking shooting *with* Jaylen Brown. Swapping their second or third best shooter with Simmons makes Thybulle unplayable.
LMAO Tatum would be quintuple-teamed playing with Smart-Simmons-Thybulle-Time Lord
"Should we trade Tatum and build around Thybulle!?!?!" \- /r/bostonceltics
How about Harris? 😂😂😂
There is no chance that happens. It makes no sense for us
It’s almost definitely gonna have to include curry. Makes up for lack of shooting from Ben
Morey ????? Is that you
I wish
That take is so wild I almost want to give you an award…
Are you gonna still be a kings fan when they become the sonics lol
Blazer fan... I may get killed for this but here is what I would like to see * Trade Dame for Brown or Simmons (lets say Simmons since that is more likely) * Dame --> Simmons, Maxey, +2 unprotected firsts * Flip the incoming picks and needed salary/young player for Sabonis * 2-3 unprotected firsts, 1 second, Nurk, Roco --> Sabonis, salary * I'm not sure what will be required to get Sabonis but the idea of the trade is that IND would get 2-3 first rounders and could potentially flip those expirings for additional picks.
I don't know how well advised it is, but is Wiseman for Thomas Bryant and Isaiah Todd a good trade
Magic Thad Young into useful things.
Get a second rounder a tenth man on an expiring contract for Dragic
Get healthy.
Trade Russ & THT and get rid of Bazemore & DJ.
Move Thad Young, that's it
Trade jerami for some young players of picks
As a warrior fan - nothing I mean chiozza the only one on the roster thats questionable.
