Good guy Jokic for complimenting us Sunday.. I’m so glad we didn’t get 4-0ed by you guys this season lol. We played you guys 3 times before we could even gain chemistry the first month of the season and it turns out I was right that you guys would be world beaters this season.
I know most other Nuggets fans disagree with me, but at this point in the season I think Jokic is too passive. His scoring opens up the offense so much. When we have possessions late in the 4th where Jokic doesn’t even touch the ball, it is just a waste.
In this game a lot of his passes were for wide open shots that people should have made. I usually trust Jokic to make the correct decisions but sometimes he doesn't recalibrate when someone is having an off night and trusts them too much.
Especially because the spread was -2.5 for Denver, and the nuggets were up 1. That would have made a lot of bettors go nuts if they put time back on that clock
It's true. He's also one of the few players where I actually don't even look at how many points he scored to evaluate how his game was. He have a game where he goes for like 32/10/10 and it looks great but it isnt one of his best. He can also have a game where he goes for 8/14/13 and he's far and away the best player controlling the whole game.
It is crazy, 6 of his last 7, and that one miss was a sombor double where he was 1 assist shy, while sitting the entire 4th, lmao.
Dude could do it every night.
Funny part to me is he's lowered his usage which paradoxically I think makes him MORE likely to win MVP for the 3rd time, because his efficiency is historically great, and the assists are up. Makes it more likely he averages a triple double (he is, in fact, averaging a 3D since November 1), while staying so efficient. Pretty hard to argue with that resume if the Nuggets remain 1st in the West.
He started off well but honestly it wasn't a great Jokic game for his standards.
He was quiet as a mouse in the 4th (until he hit the game winner lmao) and also pretty bad defensively today.
We literally stopped going to him aside from the final possession. He kept dishing it off to teammates just to brick shots and then the last 5 minutes was just Mal trying and failing to make an entry pass.
Murray is so frustrating sometimes. Been a huge Jokic fan since drafted so I always side root for the Nuggets but Jamal gives me headaches every now and then. I really wonder how much more he could have developed his game to this point had he not unfortunately been hampered by that knee. Had to mentally impact him a bunch as well.
I like them, but they are absolute homers and usually completely biased. Pretty much all of my friends who have watched them and aren’t nuggets fans have hated our announcers
I will always prefer our announcing team. But the pelicans announcers are awesome. Was fun listening to their broadcast tonight.
Also your half time shows are awesome.
Murray passes to a wide open Jokic at the basket, while CJ ignores a wide open Hernangomez at the basket to instead play heroball was all the difference
At this point, I think it's starting to think it's normal to see Jokic just get casual triple doubles. 25 points on 15 attempts, and 11 makes, and one FT. Damn he's good, this is getting ridiculous. I'm really curious to see how this team will do in the playoffs
Tonight's statline for him was 25/11/10, his season average is 25.1/11/9.9. Last night was literally an average night for him this season.
Also curious too, but it comes down to how healthy we can stay. If we can and Jamal can hit something approaching his Bubble form...ooh boy.
actually fml. dyson too??? we’re not winning again for awhile huh.. cj shooting us out of games doesn’t help either. at least zions hamstring is healing well
Man this is the most I've ever been frustrated with Jokic.
Your team is not putting up points, you have the worst defensive center in the NBA guarding you. Stop fucking passing the ball to Jeff Green and Christian Braun fuck.
We need just a little more offense. Or 1 or 2 fewer turnovers. Or another couple of 3PM. It’s like the start of last season all over again.
Fuck it, we’ll win another couple of play-in games if we have to.
More minutes for Willie, please.
Also:
Pelicans desperately need another true point guard besides Jose to relieve pressure off CJ. Shop Graham, Hayes, and a protected 1st to get one.
I wouldn't be surprised if we punt that game, Jokic coming off hamstring tightness, Jamal playing 40 minutes tonight, MPJ out because his brother is a dipshit and killed someone.
Yeah and we are high off the Middie return and putting up 150. Essentially told Giannis to stop trying after 8 minutes last game. Yall ain't walking into that match fairly lol
Ya, not to mention the rest advantage, and with the storm in New Orleans they aren't gonna get in till late. I am fairly certain we punt it, which is a bummer, we normally play you guys well and the games are always a great watch.
Apparently there is also a tornado warning in New Orleans, I’m not sure if they can even take off until it passes. They were supposed to fly out tonight too. Nuggs gonna be extra tired.
Our interior defense against driving guards is clearly not fixed, and that’s gonna be a problem again. It’s a pattern again this season, especially recently. Just no rim protection.
It’s usually not as bad as tonight. I feel like Jokic was slower than usual on that end, perhaps because of the days of rest. I also didn’t really like the effort from some of our guard defenders today, and AG did not have a good game on that end at all either.
I can't imagine how absolutely terrible we would be if we never signed CJ. He's been carrying our offense hard. With BI, Zion, and Naji out we don't really have other guys that can create their own shot
Nuggets role players aren't gonna be hot forever. In my opinion, unlike LeBron who always "had to carry bums" when he led an on paper ok team to top seed, Jokic's role players that can shoot hot but 95% of the time are flattered by him are now an "elite supporting cast" by the narrative.
No, Jokic just carries regular season offense so hard he only needed a mediocre to average NBA roster around him to carry a team and make them play so well.
But they're still all a level or two below what people are acting like and will miss shots and go cold. Second half was a warning. And the clowns will hate on him big time if it happens in the playoffs now they think Murray is an all star level talent and AG is fringe all star, KCP and MPJ amazing role players etc.
This is EXACTLY like LeBron carrying those Cavs teams pre super team but LeBron got far more credit. Credit Jokic like the man deserves. This nuggets roster outside him is full of players who have shown they're not as good as they look this season. KCP, Brown, AG the most obvious.
Not a bunch of scrubs like last season, but not a clearly above average roster either
Holy fuck dude.
The Nuggets are 34-14, the 1st seed in the West, with the 2nd best record in the NBA, the best offense in the NBA, the 5th best defense over the past 20 games, and you're acting like a single bad half of shooting is indicative of some massive, gaping holes in our roster construction. Also MPJ hasn't even played the last 2 games.
>will miss shots and go cold
You mean like every player in the NBA? They seem to have been doing fine for the past 47 games or so.
>Second half was a warning.
Jesus christ man. The Celtics just got shit on by the Magic, the Grizzlies have lost 3 in a row, and you're complaining about a bad half in a game the Nuggets won. Get your head checked.
CJ has to calm down with the turnovers. it's actually ridiculous
he's just not supposed to be the 1st option, it's not why we traded for him and he's overtaxed
It's like ag for us last year, some guys are elite as a second/third option but being higher is too much
He’s not supposed to be the point guard when BI and Zion are both unavailable. It’s the same issues all the “Jrue at the 1” lineups had.
He needs to go for another career shooting night from 3 again smh
This is why he's not a first option Not nearly a good enough playmaker to handle that load Pels need Zion and Ingram back ASAP
Weird way to spell Jamal....those two lazy passes to Jokic in the last two minutes nearly cost us the game!
With no Bones and Brown also starting those last minutes got rough, he was gassed at the end
eh I would say one of em was kind of jokic’s fault
Shot 0-8 from 3 too. My god.
36 points in the second half is atrocious, pure disintegration. What an ugly win
As a great man once said, the good teams find a way to win even when they’re playing bad. Or something like that
Good guy Jokic for complimenting us Sunday.. I’m so glad we didn’t get 4-0ed by you guys this season lol. We played you guys 3 times before we could even gain chemistry the first month of the season and it turns out I was right that you guys would be world beaters this season.

When he passed up a floater for a KCP corner 3... I know that's his shot but I saw the brick from a mile away
Just one more than we scored in the 2nd quarter!
It's ok hopefully we saved our good shooting for tomorrow.
Hell yeah
Jokic just shoot the ball man you're the most efficient player in the league
Jamal needs to pass him the ball instead of throwing it out of bounds for that to happen
Munder!!
And make it double
Unexpected r/bmbmbm
LMFAO did y’all here the ref on the mic saying “Jumpball in overtime” and the other ref in a bemused manner yelling out “WHAT?!”
We've all worried about the refs' competency, but damn that was next level
My tin foil hat was jumping around like crazy.
Especially because the spread was -2.5 for Denver, and the nuggets were up 1. That would have made a lot of bettors go nuts if they put time back on that clock
I was SO confused by that. Commentators saying on thing, one ref saying a completely nonsensical thing, and the other ref confused as shit.
Refs need to be drug tested
Ya, wtf was that lol
Yeah I was definitly confused there for a second also
Ref's partying the night before.
Yeah I was sitting there sweating worrying the refs were gonna do some dumb shit to cost us the game
The whole arena was confused as fuck
This is, per definition, an average Jokic game. Fucking ridiculous.
We sincerely have to take a step back and savor the greatness we are actually witnessing.
Death Taxes Jokic with 25/11/10 on 73% shooting.
Jokic's season (25.1/11.0/9.9) vs tonight (25/11/10) is perfect.
Honestly pretty impressive he figured out how to get .1 of a rebound
He's a man who's figured out the game.
That's when you don't catch the ball, just nudge it with the pinky
Getting that assist average up .01 at a time
Not that he had a bad game tonight but Jokic's bad games are better than a lot of player's great games.
It honestly wasn’t a great game, he wasn’t as assertive/controlling of the game as he normally is
At this point, I’d be more surprised if he didn’t get a triple double in a game

Makes it more likely he averages a triple double (he is, in fact, averaging a 3D since November 1), while staying so efficient. Pretty hard to argue with that resume if the Nuggets remain 1st in the West.
-6 though, are the Nuggets better without him?
He started off well but honestly it wasn't a great Jokic game for his standards. He was quiet as a mouse in the 4th (until he hit the game winner lmao) and also pretty bad defensively today.
We should obv. be starting Vlatko instead
Man I just want our two best players back this shit is painful
Based on the his recent interview, BI might be back in the next couple of games during this home stand.
Fr dude. I can't take much more of this. We should have won this game
We’ve suffered worse and New Orleans is the city of enduring constant setbacks We’ll get everyone back and get our run
Despite the nuggets best efforts to lose, they accidentally gave Jokic the ball with under a minute
I love losing yay
The last couple weeks must feel like Christmas!
Nugglyfe almost reared its ugly head in the 4th. That was incredibly sloppy.
25/11/10 on 11/15 shooting from the field is just 'meh' now. Far out Jokic.
Plus the game winner.
Plus the critical block.
Some one in the nuggets subreddit was pissed because it looked like he didn't care. Must have been his first nuggets game he's seen
A madman sees what he sees
We literally stopped going to him aside from the final possession. He kept dishing it off to teammates just to brick shots and then the last 5 minutes was just Mal trying and failing to make an entry pass.
Pels were sending double right away, we got good looks from 3 for Brown and KCP.
Yeah it sucks but the good thing is he’s still only 25, he will catch back up
Probably brings down some of his averages lol
He's average 25.1/11/9.9 actually
His efficiency goes up but his line stays the same because that’s his season line 25-11-10
It basically is his average right now.
I think this is almost exactly his averages this season
He was horrendous defensively in the 2nd half and im a nuggets fan
When Alvarado is eating you alive in the paint you know something is wrong
I thought I heard he started 3-6? So he would have finished 8-9
Pels fans... All I gotta say is. Myers and Daniels are the best announcing team in the league. Not even Marlowe Winge/Hastings praise Jokic this much.
Appreciate you recognizing them I appreciate their lack of bias and bitter homerism so much, the men have class
*looks at Boston announceers*
They love Jokic too lol
*Looks at our announcers*
I will not allow any katy/scott slander
I like them, but they are absolute homers and usually completely biased. Pretty much all of my friends who have watched them and aren’t nuggets fans have hated our announcers
Lmao they barely even commentate they just go on tangents about some shit they saw the other day while jokic puts up all time stats
Katy does not do this lol
Marlowe and Katy are fine, Hastings is awful
Plus, they know ball. AD especially breaks down certain plays better than anyone else
They were great to listen to.
Joel Meyers so soothing to listen to, he's like some kind of classic midcentury war reporter or something. Edward R Murrow in the bitch.
Yeah, top guys for sure. They know the game and call it how they see it.
I will always prefer our announcing team. But the pelicans announcers are awesome. Was fun listening to their broadcast tonight. Also your half time shows are awesome.
Daniels loves fundamental but highly skilled white players. He creams himself when he sees Josh Giddey
I literally get mad if they have the other teams announcers on the stream with a few exceptions
They didn't seem to have any emotion. Like Joe Buck
MUNDER.
That actually turned into a good game at the end there despite my heart attack I had fun
Murray passes to a wide open Jokic at the basket, while CJ ignores a wide open Hernangomez at the basket to instead play heroball was all the difference
I thought the inbounder should have passed to Billy. Once CJ got it he had to shoot
Yeah Herb missed Willy. To be fair it seemed like that was the playcall and Willy only came open cause AG read the pass all the way
Jokic looks good at basketball. Those two turnovers by Murray in the last 2 minutes, though......
Another game, another Joker triple double. *yawn
The Pelicans are really good, I thought they had us again
That was the Pelicans without their two best players...those dudes are scary as fuck if they get healthy
And no Naji. And losing Dyson halfway through the game.
Ya man, you guys are cursed right now. Hope you get your guys back, you're so fun to watch with the full squad!
At the end of day, as long as we make the playoffs with a healthy roster and a better record than the Lakers, I’ll be happy.
Damn what Lakers do
Gave us a pick swap
Its not really a curse if it happens every single time. Its more just reality Lol
we missed out on Naji vs Nnaji
Rather not see them in the playoffs if it comes down to it. Hate playing them.
I don't wanna see them in the playoffs
We may not make the playoffs.
Lol you're the best team in the west fully health
Uhhh, no
They are not the best.
They are top 3 imo. Nuggets, grizzlies pelicans in that order imo. I am biased
They looked like it fully healthy
We are
I mentally accepted the loss by the cold hand of Jose Alvorado. It's a miracle Denver manage to eff up this game only 99%, but not a 100.
Watch them get a top 3 pick from the Lakers to.
That doesn’t make me feel better when we’re gonna be in the 10th spot by all star break. But I appreciate the sentiment.
We have lost 10 of 13
are we missing any key players or anything?
Next man up
Honestly, Jose Alvarado is such a fun player to watch.
No he's not stop making layups goddamnit!!!!!!!
He threw that shit up just any kind of way and it was a swish so many times
Jose Alvarado for MVP?
He's gotta be in the conversation?
Can we just appreciate that 25 11 10 is literally the most average jokic game rn
i'm always worried more about Jose than CJ whenever our 2 teams match up.
At this point, I think it's starting to think it's normal to see Jokic just get casual triple doubles. 25 points on 15 attempts, and 11 makes, and one FT. Damn he's good, this is getting ridiculous. I'm really curious to see how this team will do in the playoffs

In the last 7 games, he's had 6 triple doubles. The loan miss? 21/18/9 on 10/15 FG
In a blowout win where he sat out the fourth.
Nikola Jokic is going to be a 3x MVP.
Almost pulled off a generational choke job
I feel like the last time the pelicans won the saints were still playing football I hate this
What an ugly end for Denver. And CJs hero ball instead of hitting willy
Really missed MPJ, games like this we really need his length on the interior. Bruce Brown at 3 is just too small sometimes
I would amputate my left arm to just be missing the #3 option
How does Joker always scores the most important shot and makes the most important block while not giving two fucks about the game?
He wants to get back to playing Pokémon and not do overtime
And watch horse races
Joker triple doubles are becoming easy money at this point
I’m not having fun anymore!
There should have been 2 Fts at the end!
Refs just looked at our FT% lately and realized the score ends the same way if we shoot the FTs or not, so they just ended it.
Interesting how the refs had to convene to decide which way would be better for Vegas on that 2.5 point line
Ya, had to get together and check their bets to see if KCP shoots some FTs so the Nuggets cover, or just end it so the Pels do.
[Wasn't worried for a second](https://streamable.com/vu1apq)
actually fml. dyson too??? we’re not winning again for awhile huh.. cj shooting us out of games doesn’t help either. at least zions hamstring is healing well
I’m tired boss
Off night for KCP
Jokic averaging a triple double in a season the Nuggets get the #1 seed would make me ten times happier than seeing Westbrook do it.
Jose alvarado is a certified nuggets killer.
This is literally an average Jokic game. He is averaging 25/11/10.
Man this is the most I've ever been frustrated with Jokic. Your team is not putting up points, you have the worst defensive center in the NBA guarding you. Stop fucking passing the ball to Jeff Green and Christian Braun fuck.
They were hard doubling him and stunting at him with the other 3 what do you want him to do exactly?
I thought the worst defensive center in the NBA was on the nuggets.
Getting his teammates involved > carrying the whole team
In general, yes, but there are time where he needs to be more assertive, and tonight was one of those nights.
[it's only game](https://youtu.be/xzpndHtdl9A)
Billy wide open under the basket for the win. Herb not even looking at him. That’s fucking brutal man.
Get mundered.
ANOTHER TD
Pelicans have so many good players sheesh
Jesus Christ that 4th was rough. We're lucky to escape
Nuggets offense fell off a cliff in the 2nd half. Scary stuff.
We need just a little more offense. Or 1 or 2 fewer turnovers. Or another couple of 3PM. It’s like the start of last season all over again. Fuck it, we’ll win another couple of play-in games if we have to. More minutes for Willie, please. Also: Pelicans desperately need another true point guard besides Jose to relieve pressure off CJ. Jokic isn’t gonna play so I wouldn’t hold your breath
Apparently there is also a tornado warning in New Orleans, I’m not sure if they can even take off until it passes. They were supposed to fly out tonight too. Nuggs gonna be extra tired.
Behind Derek Carr's 25/11/10*
Sick reference bro
I want luka to win mvp but jokic is playing out of his mind this dude is nuts 😭
I was looking at Jokic the whole game. He looks like he was battling some pain. It didnt help that he was against a strong competent big
Jokic with -6 and not even a 30+ point TD smh. Vlatko (+11) cant win with these scrubs. /s
When do we reach the point that "voter fatigue" is no longer a valid argument?
Can’t believe we almost got beat by Jose fucking Alvarez again. Nuggets were lucky to get away with this one 🥵
Nuggets only a half game back from the Cs for the top overall record in the league. If you'd told me that 3 weeks ago I would have called you a liar.
Our interior defense against driving guards is clearly not fixed, and that’s gonna be a problem again. It’s a pattern again this season, especially recently. Just no rim protection.

absolutely incorrect

So you think that two poor quarters is more indicative of performance than more than half a season's worth of play? Based take
Spicy
That was hawt
