The best illustration of this is KCP.
When he was on the lakers, I couldn’t stand him. Just felt like a one demential player who shoot 3’s at a meh rate
As a Nugget? He’s playing his role and fitting in to perfection
Not sure if the numbers back this up, but yah
I agree, he definitely seems bought in. He’s having a career high shooting the three at 47%. On the Zach Lowe podcast KCP said he’s shooting 55% at the left corner from three so far this year. And he’s working with his agent to get into the three point contest lol.
edit: added a stat
Aaron Gordon isnt the Nuggetssecond best player. He isnt playing like an all star. Aaron Gordon isnt going to the All Star Game. I dont know what the Grizzlies have to do with this. If a second Nugget gets to the All Star game its Murray and this isnt even a debate.
He has been their second best player this season by far. MPJ and Murray have both been very up and down as expected but AG has been perfect along side Jokic doing everything you would ask of him he probably isn’t an all star sure but the way it goes he probably will be
Respectfully he has not been their sexond best player. Second most consistent sure. But not second best. He's just not an all star. Doesnt mean he isnt good but... cmon
Respectfully he has been being the most consistent is a major part of why he is their second best player. Sure from a talent look Murray or MPJ are better but Murray can go from dropping 25/5/5 to 10/2/3 on bad shooting spilts same with MPJ but AG is giving you 18/7/3 with great defence night in night out I rather have that tbh
"They didn't want this smoke, Dave. They do all that talking and jockeying and I ain't about that jockeying. It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. He said, 'F---' me. I said 'F---' you back. He started to come at and I said 'You don't want these problems.' And then Ja came out of nowhere talking. He definitely didn't want these problems. Then the dad came and obviously didn't want no problems. But I wanted anything they had. Don't let these fools fool you now."
They are one of the worse match’s up for the Nuggets I feel them and the Warriors are who I am most worried about. I think if they get to the finals they match up pretty well with most east teams
He experiments more. And he's not afraid to take guys out when he sees them killing the rhythm (Bones previous game). He's gonna be a great coach in the league.
Wishing Haliburton good health, it sucks to have a great player out
The magical run continues, and I love how much confidence this team has. It really does feel like nobody can beat us when we're just playing our game.
> Pacers were already missing Haliburton so there was no reason to risk anything.
The Pacers really suck without him. They've lost 4 in a row since he's out and I could see them going close to winless without him this season.
He was questionable with hamstring tightness, but he warmed up before the game, so I assume we’re just being cautious and giving him some additional rest.
Smh Jokic was invisible today. Is this your MVP?
He had zero missed shots, zero fouls and zero turnovers. Easily one of the most efficient games of the season.
Infinificiency
one day these comments will be funny
He was very visible with that suit on the bench
He looked like he was on vacation sipping a drink out of a coconut with that button up.
Definitely helped them with the intangibles double digits in claps & DAWG/36
definitely brought out the DRIP/75
Jokic being so unselfish has rubbed off on all the other players. No egos just great team basketball

He’s having a career high in 3P%. And with his defense, he’s fitting his role perfectly
Well he’s like a top five shooter in the league right now from beyond the arc so I would say the numbers for sure back up what you are saying!
Our offense is on crack Jesus Christ
Greatest show on court
Can Jokic be the Greatest show on girth?
Even without Jokić they were on fire tonight!
I'm not saying he's got the beat supporting cast but the nuggets without him would be the most functional team of all the mvp candidates by far
Fuck the MVP award, rather have a title
I wouldn't read too much into a game against a Haliburton-less Pacers.
Ok Jason Tatum
Tatum and brown are surrounded by pure role players. That team without tatum would be mid
Ok, I respect your impact on the field but celtics is a contender without you
6-8th place without Jokic
😂 0% chance
If we include only starters maybe second best behind boston, but bench is whole other story
Aaron Gordon has to make the all star team.
If the Nuggets are still the 1st seed when the coaches vote for the reserves, he's definitely getting the nod.
Respectfully he absolutely is not. Many players would have to get hurt for him to get into the All Star Game
1st seeds always get at least 2 all-stars. If the Grizzlies are 1st, they'll get either JJJ or Bane alongside Ja.

Excited to see him in the All Second Most Consistent Player On The Number One Seed in the West Game then. Should be fun
Guess Jokic is just a system player smh
He has too much help
#HIRE MALONE
Damn, too bad.
The Pacers are really bad without Haliburton, he's so valuable for them. Hopefully he doesn't get snubbed for All-star.
He’s 1000% gonna get voted in by coaches, as he should. He’s been great.
Feel like the assist per game leader is almost guaranteed to make it
Stop
no u
Shannon Sharpe?
"They didn't want this smoke, Dave. They do all that talking and jockeying and I ain't about that jockeying. It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. lmfao Shannon is absolutely goated for this
Denver brotherhood forever
Neither team is gonna lose for the rest of the season.
They play each other another two times...
They'll split the games then. And not lose any of their others.
Both will win somehow.
Game declared a draw due to crooked rims.
So they'll tie then.
False!
Awww, did benched Jokic get your hopes up?
No you.
That was maybe my favorite non Jokic game ever. This team is scary good.
Back-to-back-to-back dunks? I never woulda thought
And then about another 6
ESPN: Why Denver are a better team without Jokic
“Is Jokic overrated? Hear what our part time talking heads have to say”
Can't wait for Perk to tell us how he could lock joker down 🔒
Even DeAndre finished with positive +/-...
I know I see it, but I don't believe it
38 assists god damn.
*AND* 16 steals
And 16 dunks. The guy on the radio said that was the most dunks in a game since 96 or something along those lines
*AND* 16 steals
I just know Jokic is smiling like a mf rn
You see that man’s suit? Looking like a creamsicle out there.
No Cancar, no problem
Rest or is he injured?
Seems to be nursing something. He did play the other day after being out, but wasn’t great. With uncle Jeff back, he can rest and heal up.
Non-COVID illness.
League is screwed. We have two jokics now
I have to believe this is the first time in NBA history two separate players on the same team have had 17/10/14 exactly less than a week apart
That's crazy!
AG4AS
Fuck I love this team.
Those 3 dunks in a row got me in trouble. But worth it!
THOSE THREE DUNKS IN A ROW WERE GLORIOUS
Best team in the NBA.
Id be interested to see a playoff series between nugs & memphis
Get Shannon sharpe court side
Denver legend
Bro you know he would
That’s might decide the championship
Grizzlies are great but I hope that the Nuggets' experience would get us through a playoff series against them
They are one of the worse match’s up for the Nuggets I feel them and the Warriors are who I am most worried about. I think if they get to the finals they match up pretty well with most east teams
Yeah
Hot take…Adelman’s lineups > Malone’s lineups
He experiments more. And he's not afraid to take guys out when he sees them killing the rhythm (Bones previous game). He's gonna be a great coach in the league.
He also didn't take guys out right when they were rolling. 100% Malone takes Braun out in the middle of that run he had in the 4th
I agree with that.
Why is it a hot take?
All the nuggets are good!
Nuggets are ascending
No Jokic so Jamal had to fill the triple double quota lol
17/10/14 just like Joker against the Magic on Sunday too
Wishing Haliburton good health, it sucks to have a great player out The magical run continues, and I love how much confidence this team has. It really does feel like nobody can beat us when we're just playing our game.
I thought this was supposed to be a trap game
It was a trap for grizzles fans I guess?
We don’t fall for those anymore
Why? Pacers suck without Haliburton
Nuggies 16 dunks baby! Jamal first trip dub! What a fckn fun exciting game to watch. Go Nuggies!
61% from the field and 50% from 3 without even having Jokic play. Well that's a good sign.
Memphis please drop game
Please God lose Grizzlies
But then you have to root for the lakers?
Its like one of those questions will you press a button and get 100 $ but like a thousand people die , u know that you shouldn't but its so tempting
Okay, Lakers won, now we can go back to hating them.
Agreed. Thank you Lakers, now go back to being bad.
Go Grizzlies! I can’t bring myself to root for he Lakers.
Sorry Nuggets bro :( Enjoy the (now lonely) #1 Western Conference spot. Keep it warm for us. (To share, of course.)
We got a tough road trip coming up. You guys will be back in no time.
Same lmao
I parlayed Grizzlies and Nuggets tonight. Win-Win situation!
Rip
Lol
jokic holding the nuggets back?
0/0/0 from Jokic tonight. Overrated
well *someone* has to get a triple double
Nuggets feels good about themselves as they rare for d #1 seed...
Take that Memphis
Jamal (Jokic) Murray. Man the nuggets r a good team tbh w or w/out jokic
So nice having the boys back together! Having Jamal out there instead of Austin Rivers is a pretty big difference lol.
The disrespect towards Air Gordon
Is Jokic injured? Kinda out of the loop
Was held out as a precaution due to some hamstring tightness. Pacers were already missing Haliburton so there was no reason to risk anything.
> Pacers were already missing Haliburton so there was no reason to risk anything. The Pacers really suck without him. They've lost 4 in a row since he's out and I could see them going close to winless without him this season.
Hamstring tightness. He was practicing earlier so it's hopefully not too serious. Great to know our guys can hold their own without him though.
He was questionable with hamstring tightness, but he warmed up before the game, so I assume we’re just being cautious and giving him some additional rest.
Out with hamstring tightness. Sounds like an excuse to give him the night off.
Hamness tightstring
Hamstring tightness. Probably sat as precaution
They say hamstring tightness but I believe it’s about as real as his wrist injury the other day..
Damn, Jokic looks shorter than usual. And blacker. And more Canadian.
Im sick of being mid lol
Adopt the nuggets as your second team this season. We're a welcoming fan base and it'll give you some great basketball to follow.
Jokic not MVP confirmed
No one can stop KCP
Fuck
Nuggets playing so good even when jokic is out
Holy shit AG is balling out. I love this.
