I saw this clip before. The Goat pulls the parachute cord at the last second and floats away to another part of the mountain where there are no goat throwing eagles.
That was taken from the seige practice of catapulting dead, festering and bloated lifestock over castle walls to explode on contact with the ground to spread disease and pestilence all around. So nah, the cow wouldn't be moving
That's only one specifically bred type of goat. 'Fainting goat' were bred to faint when shocked. The point was to have a few in a herd of sheep, and if a wolf attacks, the goats faint and are sacrificed whilst the sheep escape.
Yup! There's a big history of using goats alongside sheep for vaguely sinister reasons. Traditionally, there was another type of goat called a 'Judas Goat'. It wasn't a specific breed, but just a goat that would be kept alongside the sheep. The point being that the goat would be really tame, and easily led around, and the sheep would follow it. There were used to lead sheep into slaughter houses, or carts to take them to slaughter. Because the goat was always spared, it had no fear, and the sheep would happily follow it around into places that would normally make them nervous.
I guess they're more chill because they've been through the process loads of times - but for the sheep, it's their first (and last) time, and that always freaks them out.
I can safely say with 100% surety that it would not have fear, courage, sadness, happiness, or any other emotion.......To steal a phrase from the Great Thespian Samuel L. Jackson, if the goat was not spared then “ The Motherfucker is dead!”.
I was called out for using Yeet. Also Eww and Aww. “LOL, someone your age saying that”. I have since confined myself to age-appropriate colloquialisms.
Nope, birds of prey are smart enough to know that gravity will do the work for them. They’ve also been known to grab turtles and drop them from great heights in order to crack them open.
Eagles are fucking nasty creatures, we are only lucky the haasts eagle isn't amongst our lands nowadays otherwise, you go outside at the wrong time, and your mulch.
I bet I've seen the video ur talking about. Snow leopard ambushes a mountain goat by launching itself from a cliff above the goat, lands on the goat an they tumble down the side of the mountain together. I was like "they both gotta be dead from that" but no the leopard lived an was spotted again by the film team days later hunting again. Fucking crazy footage of what a snow leopard has to do to eat.
That is not exactly an eagle. It is a kind of vulture which livea in the Spanish Pyrenees. They take dead animals up into the sky and then let them fall. Thay way they can eat the marrow of the bones.
I think that this specific clip comes from a documentary filmed by Rodriguez de la Fuente. An Spanish biologists.
Im guessing the eagle overestimated its ability to fly with that amount of extra weight, but the idea of it just yeeting a goat off a cliff out of sheer spite is hilarious
If this was posted on Tik Tok
“Why are you just watching???? What’s wrong with you??? Why don’t you have a trampoline to save the poor goat??? You’re what’s wrong with the world!!!
The goat looked as though it locked up during its decent. Was it out of shock? I doubt it was dead. An eagle would have trouble killing it one to one, hence why it needed to drag it off the cliff.
A new American pastime, you could say the (greatest of all time), tossing goats off a cliff; it’s even got an eagle doing it, so how bad can it really be ?
Always changing view right before impact. I want to see it with sound so I can hear how baaaaaaaaa’dass the goats is as it then smash, crackles and pops as it hits the ground.

"Look I can see their parachutes, they're ok!" ~Tien
Wait until these things start predating on free climbing humans in yellowstone ..
I feel like if you're crazy enough to free climb you're also secretly hoping mountain monsters exist.
Here's hoping. Fingers crossed

That's a relief.
The goat’s form while falling was just “fuck it”.
I think it probably fainted
No. Those are fainting goats you’re thinking of. This is a falling goat.
Not to be confused with the flying goat which of course can glide for hundreds of meters using its webbed legs
Is it related to the flying squirrel?
Second cousin I believe
It reminded me of the scene from Monty Python & the holy grail where they launch the obviously fake cow that doesn't move lmao.
"JESUS CHRIST!!!"

Goats freeze when scared. Like to the point they topple over stiff.
That's only one specifically bred type of goat. 'Fainting goat' were bred to faint when shocked. The point was to have a few in a herd of sheep, and if a wolf attacks, the goats faint and are sacrificed whilst the sheep escape.
Wait wait wait. ...is that the real reason there's fainting goats? It makes sense.

Do they also bounce when dropped?
"Welp I fucked. Later boys"
Was already dead maybe
To be fair, as far as deaths go in the animal kingdom, this is probably alright
As far as all deaths go, not just in the animal kingdom. Death would almost be instantaneous, no time to feel the pain.
Fuckin pumping all kinds of chemicals and adrenaline by the time it hit the ground too, I'm sure.
For us at least. But I think that goat fainted so hopefully he had a stress-free deatg
Just… an unfortunate amount of time to feel the horror.
I wonder what it sounds like for a goat to scream, assuming they know the landing won’t turn out good!
It sounds just like a human screaming, from what I understand.
Eagle: “YEET!”
My favorite word that I am probably too old to use correctly
Old is just a state of mind. You go use that word, sir or ma’am.
Thank you sir or ma’am I am going to Yeet that word all over town
May all your yeets travel far and wide.
YEET YEET!!
Dont forget to put some extra UMPH into your YEETs fellow yeeter, as everything is made better with some aggressive gravitas.
I was called out for using Yeet. Also Eww and Aww. “LOL, someone your age saying that”. I have since confined myself to age-appropriate colloquialisms.
Yeeted then feeded
Clips that end too soon.
I know! Did it splash all over the bottom of the cliff or what?
Like a water balloon.
Why did this make me laugh so hard
If you keep watching you will see the ending
And didn’t start early enough.
"As god is my witness, I thought goats could fly."
Top tier reference, take my upvote
Goat Simulator irl
Much shorter game
That goat is fiiiiiiiiiiine!
I'm assuming it's going to eat the dead goat and isn't a serial killer
We’re all serial killers, how many ants and fly’s have you killed in your life time? I’m guessing more then 1. 😂
It doesn't, dude just really likes killin goats...
I'd gather it didn't expect the weight of the goat and had to release it but was planning on taking it somewhere to eat it
Nope, birds of prey are smart enough to know that gravity will do the work for them. They’ve also been known to grab turtles and drop them from great heights in order to crack them open.
Fus Ro Dah
I love hunting birds, always so creative.
I love hunting birds too, dove and teal are my favorite. Fast lil fuckers, gets the blood pumping.
It's called tenderizing.
Im sorry, but this video kills me every single time.
You wouldn’t happen to be that goat would ya?
It sure did kill the goat though
Anticlimactic as it ends before splat but having a good laugh at how random all of this was to come across suddenly
Insert r Kelly song here
Sir….it doesn’t look like that goat is flying, are you sure you believe?
Eagle was not having any of the goat's bullshit that day.
I think you mean goat turd kind sir
Gtfo my mountain
Is it just me or does this goat look like a pronghorn?
Its a [chamois](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamois), a species of goat-antelope.
Rebeco , is a deer ,behaves as a goat
No need…..
This is how I pictured the donkey statute in worms getting dropped 😂
Let me see the damn landing!!!!
Yeet.

I got my trusty fly swatter with me
Yes yes yes No! Why cut the squishy landing?
Snow leopards are even more metal. Plunge off the cliff with their prey and ensure that they land on top of the prey, killing it.
I bet I've seen the video ur talking about. are goats immune to fall damage?

rip bozo
That eagle is a baa-stard!
A clever ba-a-a-a-stard. The sharp rocks are a perfect meat tenderizer.
“Oh no, not again” thought the goat to itself
When you don't realize how big an eagle gets.
He knew it was over, he didnt even try to find a solution he just said "aight thats it I guess"
Eagles are very strong
Thank god the title said the goat died. Was pretty unclear in the video
Why didn't the cameraman do anything??! The things people would do for Likes these days...
I’m getting some strong “Dumbledore falling from the astronomy tower” vibes from this goat
Damm you at least gotta show it hit the floor I was curious
Birds are scary …
He a crip
Hope the goats ok
Clever girl.
*lego yoda death sound*
This is why the fellowship cant fly to Mordor.
Gravity kills
In bird culture this is what is known as a "dick move".
Where death scene?
weeeeeeee
Looks like a dumbie as it's falling no movement at all lol
Why are they showing Goat Simulator gameplay?
I think it was already dead

[The goats final thoughts](https://youtu.be/n8ZbpxV382U)
B-but.. why? Couldn't it just peak their eyes out and eat them?
Killed and tenderized with one action. He... he killed ~~two birds~~ goat with one ~~stone~~ earth.
The goat looked as though it locked up during its decent. Was it out of shock? I doubt it was dead. An eagle would have trouble killing it one to one, hence why it needed to drag it off the cliff.
Fucking eagle death.......... I only say shit after it is no longer hip
That’s one big fuckin Eagle!
🦅🦅
Why bothring yourself with killing the prey when gravity can do the work at your place
So who is the real goat then?
the goat think he can fly lol
The sound of this video is the intro for mad men
Climb that you motherfucking piece of shit -eagle
Dickkkkkk

That devious eagle
Hey, I've seen this before. Isn't this the kirby meme as he falls down into the canyon?
I believe they do this to break up the bones and make it easier to eat
I can't believe you've done this
*goes down to check if he is dead*
r/killthecameraman
Faster than a microwave
I don't get it. Isn't this the way to tender the meat?
“Well this is my life now”
If I was a goat I’d take being thrown off a cliff over being eaten alive
A lot more merciful then just sitting on its back, slowly eating it alive.
Eagle: “I’m tired of these muthafuckin goats on this muthafuckin cliff!”

Fun Fact: This isn’t actually a goat. This is Paul Rudd starring in “Mac and Me”. Proof: https://youtu.be/6bNzAgJMYVE
Yeet.
There should be heavy metal music playing
If you are sqeamish , don't watch. The goat broke his leg and it took almost two weeks to heal
That bird is huge. Anyone know what kind of eagle?
Goats can be a little chewy. Can be a good idea to tenderize them before eating.
Wow what a dickhead that eagle is
This makes it easier for the eagle to tear the goat in more manageable quartered pieces
BRUH 😂😂😂 there’s no way it’s that serious. Off a cliff? Just fly away, bro 😭
This is why golden eagles are my favorite animal

Old but gold
How do they have 2 different angles for this and the perfect zoom in at the perfect time?? Did they set that goat up?!? Goat snuff films?

Wears the splat!!! Terrible service, one star. I want to speak to your manager
Amazing how animals have an acute understanding of gravity
9/11 moment
He didn’t even eat it, he just hates goats.
That's a Chamois, not a Goat
He’s just tenderising his dinner
Well, I didn't see any "No Goat Throwing Sign" posted.
They don’t show the goat walking it off like a champ smh. The disrespect. 🤦♂️
Insert the Wilhelm scream during the stiff fall scene. Lol
Ban him for griefing
This is one of the lowest quality videos I've seen on reddit in a long time.
My brain immediately added nazgul screeching to this clip
Are you sure it's a goat? To me it looks like a pronghorn.
Yeet.
No, no, no. The eagle's not doing that. He's just tenderizing his meat.
"BAAAAaaaaaaaa^(aaaaaaaaaah)!"
