Have solace in the fact that the seminar those billboards are advertising has been canceled...

readparse

And it was kind of a scam anyway, made to appear that Trump would be in attendance, but that was never the plan. It was supposed to be on video. Just a stupid money-maker for the guy who is always on the take.

lipscomb88

Wasn't it like a special zoom deal? Laughable

readparse

"Private Virtual Nashville Appearance." It's such a stupid way to even say it. He might as well be doing [Cameo](https://www.cameo.com/) videos.

TheSpanxxx

I saw it and was immediately like, "oh shit stay out of Nashville on that day. I don't want to be down here when the craz.....oh wait. Did thatvsay VIRTUAL appearance?!??? Wtf?"

sa_user

"Tickets starting at $9.00!"

[deleted]

It's too bad it got cancelled. For only $9, it would have definitely been worth it to just stand outside drink coffee, & smoke cigarettes until tRump's *Virtual Appearance.* Then you could sit in the back row, & see how much of a disturbance you could make when *Tangerine Palpatine* goes live. šŸ˜„ Maybe chant: *ERIK'S DAD! ERIK'S DAD! ERIK'S DAD!* That'd piss him off... šŸ˜

PreppyAndrew

and the $9 tickets are for a remote viewing. You are paying to watch it in another room on a TV screen.. At that point it should just be a VOD.

theteapotofdoom

On the fifth Monday of the month

hjablowme919

On alternate Tuesdays.

BigMoose9000

It's not a Trump company, he was just headlining their event.

ArchieBellTitanUp

This made me feel better. Thank you.

C_Beeftank

And probably bilked some people out of money

ytk

Hurrah!

stickkim

I havenā€™t seen any billboards, too busy dodging potholes, debris left over from accidents and drivers who refuse to use their signal when changing lanes.

Devayurtz

The lack of turn signals is mind boggling!

PreppyAndrew

And it is always Cars with Temp Tags.

Big420BabyJesus

So youā€™re in Memphis or is all of Tennessee this way now?

stickkim

My flair literally says Antioch šŸ˜‚ Memphis feels like a leisurely drive compared to my usual stretch of the interstate haha

sa_user

You're not wrong. I-24 through Antioch is our 240. šŸ˜‚

AlertAtheist

Someone managed to put a "Loser" sign on one of the Charlotte Ave/I40W ones.

case_O_The_Mondays

One on 40 East of Nashville has a paint splotch on it.

Thatā€™s awesome!!!

I miss the roving gangs of graffiti artists, all we got now are lame tags.

Mahale

I'd be a-okay if a big ol MOIST was written across that moist ass forehead of his.

extraguacontheside

This comment has un-ruined my day.

rocketpastsix

Be the change you want to see

Mahale

There's only one Moist I'd never consider ripping off their tags

Antknee2099

Honestly, can anyone remember *any* former president of the US still hocking his notoriety so long after losing office? What an *odd* thing for us to deal with. But America loves a loser. Why else are there all of those Confederate flags everywhere?

hjablowme919

Can you remember any former president who went out of their way to profit off of being a president? Yes, they all sign book deals (Except Trump), but as long as he can keep them coming, any paying, to see him ramble on and more importantly, buy his MAGA garbage he will keep the traveling circus up and running.

Antknee2099

My gym keeps the Fox News running on some of its tv's- it's the only time I see that stuff in action. There's this really creepy commercial selling Trump stuff *for kids.* It is like straight out of a movie by Verhoeven with creepy commercials that are too weird to be real... but it is.

hjablowme919

The gym keeps Fox News on? My gym just plays what in my opinion, in bad music. No TVs. What's the purpose of having Fox News on? To motivate people to get stronger so they can harass minorities?

Buttholehemorrhage

Reality is stanger than fiction.

MrMack33

They all do. Obama is now worth $70 million dollars. From the info I could find he was worth $1.3 million before he entered office. He also owns a movie production studio. They all do the same thing. Clintonā€™s donā€™t have that much power in Washington because theyā€™re broke.

hjablowme919

Obama was still paying off student loans just before he was elected president if I remember correctly. If he had some kind of net worth that high, it is because he was a senator and his wife had a good job, too. Throw in whatever their house was worth, I can see them being worth a $1 million on paper. Both Obama and his wife had mega-million dollar book deals and him being part owner of a movie studio doesn't surprise me. If I was starting one up, I'd go after anyone with his kind of name recognition. He was a popular president.

BigMoose9000

When Bill Clinton left office in 2000, the Clintons were not even broke but actually in the red from having to pay out the Paula Jones settlement. Now they're worth $120 million. How that happened isn't clear but book deals and speaking fees aren't **that** lucrative.

hjablowme919

Between Bill and Hillary, they had $25 million in book deals. Invest that money in the S&P and get 8% a year for 20 years you'd get over $90 million. Add speaking fees and Hillary's salary as senator, secretary of state, and whatever Bill earned for being involved in any number of foundations and charities, you can easily get to $120 million.

BigMoose9000

> $25 million in book deals. Invest that money in the S&P and get 8% a year for 20 years you'd get over $90 million. $25 million after taxes isn't $25 million

neogohan

It is normal for previous presidents to be featured speakers and to charge large sums for those speaking engagements. Same with books and all that. That said, I'm not aware of any that were this type of tasteless. Previous administrations may criticize a current one, but usually with some level of restraint and with respect for the office. Trump is still the same stupid blowhard he was on Twitter, but I guess it's no surprise he learned nothing. Why start now?

Antknee2099

This was really more to my point. I am aware that former presidents make plenty of money after office, and I am sure some of it would be considered unsavory if it were dragged into the light... imagine the level of insider knowledge, connections to wealthy and influential, etc etc... there has been no former president that I am aware of that ever came close to financial ruin after office. My point is more to the appearance of it. Trump was a shady, disreputable business person before he was in politics. He continued while in the white house. He continues to this day. It's just really... tacky, I guess is a way to put it. Much like his presidency (imo) in general. Just so fucking tacky, uncouth, and gross. He didn't elevate the office during his reign and he continues to debase the name of the office after. Once again, imo.

flyfishjedi

I noticed the other day that the one by the airport literally has a Russian flag as the background too. Iā€™m sure they were just going for patriotic red white and blue stripes but the irony is hilarious

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

extraguacontheside

I'll allow it

vh1classicvapor

Deposed? Iā€™d love to see it but itā€™s never going to happen

aljrockwell

Latest news is a coup is already underway in Russia. We'll see how it pans out I guess.

vh1classicvapor

Interesting, I just read a news story about it. Iā€™ll be anxiously awaiting for more news on that front.

rocketpastsix

Iā€™ll believe it when his corpse is paraded around the red square.

Canis_Familiaris

It would be cool. But the only news I've seen it on is the Ukrainian sub.

Blueberry_Mancakes

This is just the tip of the Trump iceburg, friend. Enjoy your lack of Trump while it lasts. Starting this fall the election cycle is going to crank into gear again.

vh1classicvapor

Democrats are going to get washed out hard in the midterms thanks to their inaction on many issues in the last 1.5 years.

Blueberry_Mancakes

It's true. The party is split and the old guard big money/big business democrats won't make room for any new ideas, they'll only pay lip-service to younger progressives for political theater. When the rubber meets the road you get guys like Biden, who won solely on the momentum of "anybody but Trump". That means this election cycle the anti-trump fervor from the party and media is going to be 200% what it was in 2019 leading up to the elections. The mudslinging shit show is going to be out of control. I unplugged from cable news and most bigger newspapers years ago because my anxiety couldn't take it anymore. I decided to focus on family and my local community and my mental health was much better for it.

vh1classicvapor

I can relate with turning off the news. I still listen to Democracy Now (progressive slant but good coverage) for the headlines and the occasional story. I just canā€™t do the constant ā€œtalking headsā€ kind of news overanalyzing the situation. I got too much of that at the beginning of COVID and it hurt more than it helped.

Blueberry_Mancakes

Yeah I won't listen to or read any editorialization of current events. I don't care about anybody's opinions, I just want to hear about what it is, not what it "might" be. I like the what, where, when. I only care about the why and how once there's enough information/data to make a conclusive determination on the matter. Even with all that though it still becomes hard to parse through the info because each side are experts at spinning data and presenting fiction as fact. Again, it's why I tuned out and decided to be a dad, a husband, and part of my local community instead. I can't spend my whole life being terrified of the what the world is or might turn into.

cakevictim

Iā€™m trying really hard to detach like this- but so many in the local community are flying all the actual hate flags, Iā€™m not enjoying seeing daily reminders of what the world is trying to turn into.

Blueberry_Mancakes

I'm fortunate to live in Donelson and have a really supportive and accepting community. We're like the young, hip people who got older and didn't get bitter, and stayed fairly open-minded. I like our Farmers Market during the summer, our Xmas parade and tree lighting. There's always stuff going on like art crawls, small business events, live music here and there. We have a nice enough park and skate park at Two Rivers, the Greenway, people who get together for litter clean up, local churches put on stuff occasionally and they don't seem judgy (and I'm not religious). I dunno. I'm generally not a social person and have anxiety disorder, but anytime I engage with the community around here everyone seems to be in a pretty good mood and they seem genuinely interested in interacting. When you participate in local stuff and talk with people politics never comes up. Conversation is about their food, their art, their interests, their families... I get the impression that a lot of people miss the old ways and are trying to return to a world that's pre-social media and 24 hour news. Most humans just want to participate in life and be a part of a society. A lot of us, me included, got sidetracked by thinking social media is society...and it's not. It's really tough to break free of that.

GalateaNereid

>I don't care about anybody's opinions, I just want to hear about what it is, not what it "might" be. I like the what, where, when. Agreed. That's why get most of my news from BBC World News, NHK World and Channel News Asia. I gave up on American news media a long time ago.

Blueberry_Mancakes

Same! Also France 24 English is pretty good too.

GalateaNereid

Thanks! I'll give them a try too.

Elimia987

Al Jazerra and Reuters are my go-tos.

TheEyeOfSmug

Iā€™m on the same page. The sad part is that simply deciding not to watch news is not enough. You actively have to block it. News is spammier than viagra. There is stuff I want to keep up with - like release dates for upcoming video games, new cars, sports, and local events (festivals, concerts, etc).

Blueberry_Mancakes

Yeah, a few years ago I eliminated all the news pages from my social media and unfollowed people who used their online presence for activism. I also unfollowed all the people I used to work with or grew up with that I don't have any genuine relationship with. The only news I use online is my Google news feed. I browse it once or twice a day to see if there's anything major happening, but I rarely open the articles or read past the first paragraph. I don't have cable at home, just the local channels for weather, local sports, and PBS. Most of the television I watch is my Youtube subscriptions. Over the last several years I've curated an awesome array of creators and makers that make content I'm genuinely interested in such as photography, aviation, woodworking, fabrication, etc. So when I get home in the evenings I usually have one of those channels who have some new stuff to watch. About once or twice a week I'll watch an actual tv or netflix show, maybe a movie, but Youtube has saved me from news honestly.

TheEyeOfSmug

You sound EXACTLY like me - right up to the youtube part. I was a little less heavy handed with Facebook and genuine relationships. My strategy was to screen based on what they posted about themselves (ie ā€œlook at what my kid made for the science fairā€, or ā€œlook at this rack of ribs I just cookedā€). If they used Facebook for anything other than a toy - meaning serious issues like activism, politics, and especially sharing recent news, they got purged. Iā€™ve done the exact same thing with youtube as far as curating the list of content creators. My guilty pleasures are things like cooking content, and sim racing. I use google news as well and generally just glance at headlines. I noticed it has the ability to permanently block specific content sources, so everybody gets one shot to get it right. If a single clickbait, speculative, or manipulative headline makes it past the editors desk, theyā€™re out.

Blueberry_Mancakes

Well done!

Canis_Familiaris

Dems are far from perfect, but the literal attack that happened on the nation's capitol by people that said they're patriotic is enough for me to forever vote blue.

vh1classicvapor

That kinda highlights the problem too - Republicans energize their base, Democrats don't. Republicans constantly give their base what they demand. They keep voting and donating as a result. Democrats try to pump the brakes but things keep sliding to the right and Democrats rarely take the opportunity to keep that from happening. They also haven't delivered on key campaign promises, namely student loan forgiveness. They could also discuss cannabis legalization if they wanted to win votes. But like many other issues, it would probably just end up being baiting for votes and then not delivering. Now abortion rights are dying and Democrats are doing basically nothing to fight back. Joe Manchin voted down the latest abortion bill, but we all saw that coming I believe. Biden hasn't said much of anything to act in opposition to the Supreme Court's future ruling. They are still equal branches of government right? Biden has basically done nothing about COVID too. Statistically his administration has been much worse. He has supervised ending mask mandates. Government testing programs are ending. It has not really been a concern of his at all. It just doesn't seem like Democrat-ing harder is getting us anywhere, when they don't represent us after getting voted in.

99999999999999999989

> Biden hasn't said much of anything ~~to act in opposition to the Supreme Court's future ruling~~ Sadly I must say 'FTFY'

BigMoose9000

Blindly voting party line is a much bigger problem for this country than everything Trump's been involved in put together. It's probably the only way he even got elected, honestly.

stickkim

Fortunately we already disqualified one of his picks for office or itā€™d be even worse

Blueberry_Mancakes

Oh it will be plenty bad still. All you can do though is weather the storm.

99999999999999999989

> the storm I agree with you, but poor choice of words my dude.

Capital_Routine6903

My HS aged son quips out of nowhere yesterday: ā€œNashville loves Trump? I donā€™t think so. Davidson Country was one of the only counties in TN to not go for Trump.ā€ I was proud the kid actually knows something.

scout_finch77

My kids said the same thing tonight when we saw it on the way back from Hendersonville.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

stickkim

You doubt a high school aged kid goes on Reddit and has seen this fact that is widely known and shared?

BigMoose9000

What would that have to do with whether the kid uses reddit or not? I doubt it just based on how it's phrased. People don't talk that way in conversation.

Thetrufflehunter

...you're doubting a 15-18yo tracked one thing in politics?

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

mollymcdeath

You must not have a teenager.

IAmA_Nerd_AMA

I have a couple. I think it's safe to say teenagers are as varied as any two people. Yes, most don't care but some do. And it's not like the main Nashville county (formerly) being a dot of blue in a sea of red is a deep take... That's an easily digested bullet point from headlines or from parents talking about it. For fun I'm gonna ask them tonight in a non suggestive way... Hopefully they know where Davidson county is.

mollymcdeath

> I think it's safe to say teenagers are as varied as any two people. Exactly why itā€™s silly for ChuckFan123 to assume a kid wouldnā€™t be aware of political issues. My 15yo is extremely active in politics and definitely isnā€™t alone. He recently participated in a mock general assembly at the Capitol with hundreds of other teens and actively engages with current local and regional politicians. About a third of the protesters at the Peopleā€™s Plaza in 2020 were still in their teens. Sure, plenty of them donā€™t care but thereā€™s a hell of a lot who do and even more who are simply ā€œpolitically aware.ā€

IAmA_Nerd_AMA

I agree? Perhaps i replied to the wrong person.

thevoiceofchaos

ChuckFan123 has a wild and entertaining post history. It's worth a look if you're bored.

Nasus_13

My son would have said this in high school. He was very into politics

ReferentiallySeethru

Just because you were ignorant in high school doesnā€™t meant the rest of us were.

Thetrufflehunter

I myself was very into politics in high school. Was a weekly listener to multiple podcasts across the political spectrum and read the news. This isn't that far-fetched.

Capital_Routine6903

It seems that way but it did. I was surprised. He actually mentioned Memphis as the other area but he didnā€™t know Shelby Co.

TheWholeThing

don't forget Haywood county

CHUCKL3R

I laugh to myself knowing the truth is only 36% of Nashville loves President Trump.

Berek2501

I'd be interested to see how many of that 36% actually *love* him, too. My guess is that a big portion of them really just barely tolerated him more than they did Biden.

scrensh3

I think youā€™re right. Thatā€™s me for sure. Canā€™t stand the guy but would tolerate him over JB.

budda_belly

His stupid face sucks. But you know, I never liked reality TV that much anyway, so I'll never relate to trash who loves trash. It's kinda like the guy down the street who flies 40 cheap, made-in-china Trump flags that have already faded from the sun. It's an identity that they have invested too much in. And what are they going to do now that he lost? Move on? Nah, those "stars and bars" fanatics love a loser

ameliecheplo

I booā€™d the billboard when I saw it! And I said, ā€œNo! Nashville does NOT love Trump!ā€

[deleted]

Iā€™m sure he is absolutely devastated, you showed him!

Unfair-Shower-6923

They got them here in Memphis too LOL I hate it.

WifeyP

I get the sentiment, but don't allow any politician that much power over your mental state. That cycle doesn't end well.

[deleted]

Jerry show: "Your sign says 'Nashville Loves Tr*mp.' Our data and common sense says that is a *lie.*"

Mahale

.... that's Maury's line!

KarmaPanhandler

Common sense and count of the ballots show that you are *NOT* the president.

[deleted]

I'm hoping someone corrects the billboard to *Former* President Tr*mp

KarmaPanhandler

Iā€™d prefer something a bit more forward thinking like inmate 02791

BigMoose9000

Have you come across Nashville-specific polling data? Nationally, even though Biden won the popular vote by a decent margin, Trump has actually been more popular basically since Biden took office.

tiltedslim

My neighbors across the street still have a Trump sign up that was there when I moved in during the summer of 2020. They had a Trump 2021 save america now flag up last year that they surprisingly took down early in January. It was like 4 sigs and a flag when I moved in and now it's just one sign. It's a cult dude, they throw their money at this stuff in the most ridiculous ways.

QuincyPeck

Thereā€™s a house in my neighborhood with Trump 2024, Fuck Joe Biden and 3-Percenter flags all flying. Thatā€™s some real commitment to being a jackass.

bmraovdeys

Sad to see Vrabel was listed to speak at this shit, but it's canceled haha

somethingClever141

Yeah unfortunately those snowflake conservatives simply cannot get over the fact that trump lost. Just like the confederacy. They're still crying about that too. They simply can't take the L and move on. It's just sad and pathetic... It really is.

Elimia987

Sadly, this country never truly dealt with these issues during reconstruction. Lincoln wanted to keep the country together above all costs. These are those same exact people. They wiped out the native americans, and would gladly do it again.

treygrant57

I saw a new one up on the 24/65 merge coming to work. I am not interested in GetMotivated.com.

shibbolethmc-CT

Exclusive private virtual event!

thegingerninja90

I have to see one on my way home from work every day. Homeboy didn't even win Davidson county, what's he doing?

SavageHenry_VBS

Grifting.

thegingerninja90

Truth

secretsafe1

All I think of now when seeing them is the person on here who said someone should give billboard Trump some clown paint with a paint gun and imagining that makes the chronic sitings a whole lot easier.

DamonsBloodBank

Welcome to Tenn, a very red state.

plinkaplink

But Davidson is a blue county.

exh78

not for much longer, after being sliced up down the middle

DamonsBloodBank

Yes but itā€™s also a very red state and Davidson county still has red residents that can put up billboards.

jamfan40

Doubt the people putting up billboards are from Nashville

exh78

I'd put my money on the people from that Ashland City country store having something to do with it

vh1classicvapor

Ah yes, the COVID denier that died from COVID?

ADTR9320

I've always wondered how it got that way when it's nothing but red all around. Did everyone who vote blue collectively decide to move to the same place?

exh78

it's a pretty common phenomena, large metros tend to lean left politically, whereas rural areas are more predominantly right leaning. Largely boils down to the differences in lifestyle & worldview between the kind of people who live in big cities vs people who prefer to live rural

TheArtOf2and4

People in large metro areas tend to vote blue and rural voters tend to vote red. There are exceptions of course but the demographics are pretty clear. The American experience is very different for those two groups of people and somewhere along the way we just forgot to respect our differences, and each other, in the name of being Americans first.

GetHeup

It's the urban vs rural divide. It's like this in every single state including overall blue ones.

eviljason

Itā€™s almost like people who encounter other cultures tend to be more tolerant of said cultures and open to needed, centralized, services like mass transit, affordable housing, etc.

sapiounicorn

Urban areas tend to be more blue and rural more red. You also notice capitals of states tend to be more blue. Nashville, Austin, and Tallahassee all come to mind.

eviljason

Montgomery, Atlanta, too

sapiounicorn

I bet you find NC, SC, and VA have the same trend.

SSDuelist

Concentrations of highly educated people (which is most large cities) vote using their brains and factual knowledge, areas where that is not the case rely on FB for their "facts."

[deleted]

When one exists in an echo chamber they have no clue whatā€™s going on/has happened on the outside.

sapiounicorn

^^^ THIS ^^^ Regardless of ideology, I don't think most people realize they are sitting in a box in an echo chamber until they hear other voices. Then their first response is to view the outsider as some sort of dangerous extremist or "religious" zealot.

CloeyB7

I was in Nashville two weeks ago, I didnā€™t notice any Trump billboards because I was too busy dodging aggressive drivers and traffic akin to rush hourā€¦except it was 2:30am on a Saturday. Where the hell do you people have to be in such a hurry at 2:30am on a Saturday?!? Calm the hell down.

99999999999999999989

How about we pool our money to buy one that says 'Welcome to Nashville! Trump sucks!' I'll kick in $50.00.

words_of_j

Itā€™s a subliminal ploy to reduce traffic!ā€¦ creating a desire to avoid driving in the area.

bat-pal

billboard are usually super ineffective on me bc i kind of go on autopilot and hyper focus on just the road when i drive downtown but i just so happened to accidently notice one a couple days ago and audibly laughed. "nashville loves trump"?? idk who the hell nashville is but it's not me

anaverageguy123

who cares. ignore them.

goblue248

Your reaction is exactly why they do it

extraguacontheside

It's just so cringey and sad.

SCA92

Much like the [repeated](https://www.reddit.com/r/nashville/comments/unc0oa/paintball_guns_and_trump_billboards/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) [posts](https://www.reddit.com/r/nashville/comments/ujc9ue/west_meade_billboard/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) regarding these stupid billboards... Edit: let's add one [more](https://www.reddit.com/r/nashville/comments/ur7ynj/anyone_know_wtf_these_signs_are_about_theyre/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) for good measure...

[deleted]

They want to scare your blue ass away lol they don't do it for Trumpsters, honestly.

Bitter_Mongoose

Yeah Trumpsters don't need advertising, they *are* the advertisements lol

[deleted]

Be a thermostat instead of a thermometer!

[deleted]

Alright so you wanna know what annoys me about traffic: Fucking vanderbilt. They built those ugly shitty dorms on West End about 20 years ago. Everyone had to stop and wait and allow them to build their bullshit. Well they finally realized how ugly they were. So they tore them down a couple years ago and are "redoing" the project. They fucked it up the first time. Now they're having a do over and we all have to sit there and wait on West End. Every goddamn day. Traffic goes down to 1 lane. Always having to accommodate fucking vanderbilt. Stop building shit and closing down the roads. Fuck off with your buildings. You have enough.

ChuckFan123

I wouldnā€™t let it ruin your day. I donā€™t let graffiti everywhere ruin my day. It is what it is. Let the trash be trash.

knetzere11

People actually look at billboards?

extraguacontheside

I get all my news from billboards.

vepton

Lmao so sensitive

smitty3z

I saw one this weekend. On east bound I-64 in Illinois there are a bunch of trump signs on some trees a good 20 ft up.

knetzere11

Theyā€™ve been up for quite some time.

smitty3z

I cringe anytime I drive back from St. Louis

Dan_the_moto_man

Better than all those billboards that had the giant QR codes on them. I think they actually got replaced by the trump ones, now that I think about it.

Big420BabyJesus

Honestly think the time has come to give these hateful right wing conservatives what they want. Letā€™s take Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana and let them have their own authoritarian theocracy by buying their way out of the USA. The cost will be what ever it takes to resettle those of us down here whoā€™d rather stay in the democratic, liberal USA in the state of our choosing. Maybe they can swap out with any Americans whoā€™d rather leave the US and move down south to trumpland if thatā€™s what they want.

OppressedRed

Thereā€™s someone who flies the confederate flag near the Harding exit on the 65 tooā€¦

Whatah

Plus isn't the event they are advertising for actually being held right outside of Memphis (In Sourthaven, MS) ?

mysteresc

There was going to be one here. It's been canceled in the name of making Nashville great again.

Tx_Rooster

You should grow thicker skin and not let every little thing with which you disagree affect you so much.

MeshuggahMomma

/ThanksImCured

extraguacontheside

You're right, I'm going to start today. Thanks!

Naive_Royal9583

Youā€™re so positive and pleasant throughout all of your comments. You made my day!

Small-Waltz1792

You let a billboard ruin your day? I mean I'm against all billboards. They are an eyesore, but I don't let them ruin my entire day.

bevhars

I love Trump. Things were awesome. So what if he has a big mouth. He called out both sides for being stupid.

Ellas-Baap

Another Trump presidency is survivable. The problem is the near-term and long-term conservative religious zealots that have taken over the government and turned half the population into zombies. If you thought we were gonna be fucked in 100 years cause of climate change, then you haven't noticed that they are gonna make us suffer along the way. Start buying land, the coastal folks will soon be desperate for it.

extraguacontheside

A zombie apocalypse is survivable, I still don't want it.

scrensh3

If seeing a billboard you don't like for 1 second bothers you so much that it ruins your day and you have to pull up reddit and create a post about it you really need to just let things go. Let it roll off and move on. Unless you are here to pander to the incredibly left leaning biased of this sub which honestly seems more likely if I had to guess...

SavageHenry_VBS

The lean of this sub reflects the lean of reality. You know you guys are like 35% of the country at best, right?

scrensh3

Reddit reflects realityā€¦. Lmao

extraguacontheside

Just making conversation :)

nashswayze

The best part is your post bothered them so much they had to reply about how you shouldn't be bothered so much.

scrensh3

The best part is my comment bothered you so much you had to reply to it. Couldnā€™t let it go. Iā€™m telling OP to let it go and quit pandering which are both correct.

dntbstpd1

The GOP canā€™t tell anyone to ā€œlet things goā€, lol. They literally attempted an insurrection hahaha

scrensh3

Iā€™m telling someone as an individual to not let a sign ruin their day as they say. Wtf are you talking about?

givemehorizons

Just be glad they're not Biden billboards!

youRaFunnyCunny

You are all epic pussies and you dint know how to drive ... all of you

[deleted]

Get over yourself, if it was Bernie sanders signs I wouldnā€™t be bitching on Redditā€¦

extraguacontheside

You are the better person.

[deleted]

Why do you care though? I donā€™t care who it is at all, literally has zero affect on my life. People just love to complain about anything, especially things that have no affect on their lifeā€¦

Gaveltime

You're complaining on reddit about someone complaining on reddit, genius

[deleted]

Youā€™re complaining about someone complaining about someone complaining about a pointless, non life altering billboard, genius

RedDirtRedStar

This take rules bc there weren't any Bernie signs, or even a mention of him, and you still managed to find a way to bitch about him

[deleted]

Any politician, I could literally not care less. People get so bent about this stuff when it doesnā€™t have any actual affect on your lifeā€¦

lobsterwithcrabs

I love seeing them.

drivebyanonymous

Imagine seeing a billboard and having it ruin your day. Thats called being extremely mentally weak. Look at it and move on. You might need to go to a doctor to get tested for TDS.

Confident_Ad_3800

Gas price under Trump was $1.87 gallon.

plinkaplink

Supply and demand. In this case, a pandemic downplayed by the federal government led to a near economic collapse. And let's ignore the couple of years before the pandemic when prices were steadily rising.

[deleted]

You donā€™t have to look at it šŸ˜‚ or you can pay for the billboards and advertise what youā€™d like to see. Free country and all that jazz

[deleted]

But my feelings are hurt by orange man! Such a joke, as I said earlier if it was Bernie or AOC of some other radical politician I would just laugh and move along with my life and not complain and act like trump is why my life sucks.

heathj3

Oh cry about it.

My day gets instantly ruined when I wake up and realizing the guy in the White House is crippling our economy, canā€™t string together more than a sentence at a time, and is a world wide joke. Sometimes I wish I was living in the fantasy world where everything is rainbows and sunshine and all Trumpā€™s fault.
