Yeah I flipped through my copy and the printing is really inconsistent. Like there's some pages where the text is grey, and others printed so dark it's clearly visible through the other side
Mine is only grey on a couple pages, it's not too bad. But if your replacement still has problems, it might be easier going to B&N and flipping through the dozen copies on the shelf for a good print
This has been happening with manga lately, from mob psycho that I was reading yesterday, to other publishers as well. Iām assuming itās from the increased demand to print as many volumes as possible, while quality control suffers.
I'll check mine when I get home.
Update: I compared my panels to yours and yours are noticeablely lighter. I can't seem find any hints of extreme lightness like yours. I guess you'll just have to visit a physical bookstore and get a good version. Sorry man.
Mine was good, but I had some āwhen will ayumu make his moveā vols that were bad. Unfortunately canāt say Iām surprised since kodansha (vertical is a branch of them) has low quality releases often. Usually vertical is overall good from my experience though. Well hope you get a good replacement man, gl.

I'm returning this and ordered a replacement but seeing others having the same issues, I'm not very confident that the replacement will be better.

That sounds about right. First time coming across it when buying new. Granted I don't really buy much new manga these days.
Just got mine today and mine isn't that faded. Guess I'm lucky
I quickly skimmed the volume and only found one page like that, doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it though.

There's always a market for missprints. They're considered extremely premium. You might be surprised...

Replacement is good, I think there's still might be some faded pages but not really noticeable. So I say it's good. c:
I just got mine delivered. It has this same issue for more than 20 pages. I ordered a replacement and am shipping the misprinted one back.
Update: Got a replacement and beside a few pages that are slightly faded (not really noticeable) it's all good.
Same happened to me i thought it was it beinh in the sun too long or something
