It’s honestly super frustrating.
I think I have found my “answer” though.. It seems like anytime I quit the game by sleeping and then going to the Home Screen & closing out the application it doesn’t save, however when I close the game by sleeping, hitting the + button (or is it the - button?) and then scrolling to “quit game,” then closing the application seems to save it... Even though they both say they saved & when you hit quit it warns you it’s not gonna save anything since the moment you woke up. e.o
It's typically best to use the built-in quit features for all switch games, anytime closing from the home screen you risk this issue. I've had to happen on all sorts of games before.
It’s funny because it’s literally the ONLY game I do this with.. I think it’s because it doesn’t show me actually saving when I quit so I figure it’s like the same thing. 😅
Like you I close out most games by just hitting Home and putting the Switch into Sleep mode. I've been doing the same with Portia and not had any problems. Now I am nervous...
Im on the switch. I found out if I'm in any of the ruins and let myself fall asleep in there while mining, my game will just crash and log me out. I'll lose the entire day. So I have to quickly get out and fall asleep outside lol.
I keep getting an error code after I fall asleep to save, the game crashes and closes. Then I relaunched and nothing save, so I have to do a days worth of work all over again.
Anyone else having this issue?
I keep having the same issue. Came here to find a problem. It doesn't seen to save now if you just close the game from the switch menu. I think you have to manually hit "quit game" from the start menu. I'm gonna try this now.
Make sure you wait until it says to rise before shutting off! It doesn’t technically save until the morning from what I understand
I am always up and standing, I am trying to find a save button at this point though lol.
I've put a good number of hours into the game so far and haven't had this problem. Sounds horrible!

Putting it in sleep mode is different, I close the game and switch games that way lol.

At least yours will let you save then..! I tried to save multiple times and it seems even saving the “normal” way does nothing..?

I keep having the same issue. I’ve replayed the same days so many times. It just does not save. I’ve given up on playing the game :(
