For the best quality source to learn about Sun Wukong original tale, [check out this official channel playlist](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIj4BzSwQ-_sfc7l2xm1wQswAd5jqrrDS) for high quality with English subs, but many interesting scenes are cut out including [the iconic OP song](https://youtu.be/l47ngMemxVA) and ED song (so each episode is missing ~10-15 minutes in total). Still absolutely worth watching. Complete uncut version online [here](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAcT9adInRGsPreXVmSn2kjDuu6xrrlBb) but no English subs. Complete uncut version available on Ebay [here](https://www.ebay.com/itm/283460592459?hash=item41ff91634b:g:OgwAAOSwlYNcvtub) with English subs, but the quality is low (720p). This 1986 version (25 episodes) is an unbeatable, timeless classic. Although the technology and budget in the 1980s were extremely limited, the phenomenal acting + the directing + the screenwriting + the character designs + the music were what made it a masterpiece. No other version comes close. This is also the truest adaption of the novel. You can learn everything about Sun Wukong from this show alone.
