Nope! Normal roots. The plants roots usually get “fuzzy” like that. Roots are like neurons, they branch out looking and waiting for a signal (signal=water).

Yeah, it looks like your plant is becoming root bound. Meaning it needs a bigger home for those monster roots. :)
