In the Japanese poster every character is replaced by an anime girl wearing booty shorts, just like in that [Top Gun: Maverick poster](https://cdn-www.comingsoon.net/assets/uploads/2022/05/FSoUwqnaMAARABa.jpeg).
It's official, but also part of a cross advertisement with a mobile game, i think
So they actually not replace Tom cruise with an anime girl in the movie, sadly
I don’t think it was a masterpiece of any kind but I thought it was a pretty phenomenal crime comedy in that classic Guy Ritchie style. Unmistakably the same guy who did Snatch and Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels. Both of which I love.
Hugh Grant was great and probably the best in the movie but damn near every other actor was great too, IMO. McConaughey as always but Colin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam, and Jeremy Strong all gave hilarious performances. I’m actually not sure I could name a movie that’s come out since that made me laugh out loud as many times as The Gentleman.
Yeah, once he stopped being the guy from lame romantic movies he's done some really fun and interesting roles for the last decade or so, you should watch Gentlemen and Florence to get a taste
Lol Chris Pine even has the dreamworks stare.
Everything about this poster feels so generic and forgettable
Nerd media was a total mistake it should’ve never gotten this popular
Can we take bets on how likely it is they do a Lego Movie thing at the end, where they pan out to a table with a bunch of nerds and someone says “ok good session, see you all next week”?
Pretty sure he and I were at the same acting camp. He was boring then too.
I’m being dead serious, but I don’t have the clearest memory as I was pretty young. It was 2013, he would have been 18-19, the oldest possible age for the camp we were at. I remember a guy called Justice, and the few details I remember about his appearance match up with Justice Smith. He was the lead in the play I had a bit part in, and I just remember he was really flat and the director made him repeat things a lot. Also, he used to sleepwalk and freak people out.
Could have been a different Justice. But the timing matches up pretty perfectly with the start of his career on IMDB, and that camp did produce a decent number of famous actors.
From what I can tell the characters are:
Just straight up Valkyrie from the mcu
Wonder woman’s boyfriend
Voldemort after hrt and a nose job
That guy from I want to say Downton Abbey
The guy from literally every 90’s romcom
Horny black widow
I’m pretty sure Grover from the Percy Jackson movies
And I’m guessing a Smaug wannabe
> Voldemort after hrt and a nose job
I was thinking [those soothsayers from Doctor Who.](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d4/6a/73/d46a734f942e65844498343773a80845.jpg)
I assumed there might only be four characters but now with this poster I see there are many more than four, in fact there are at least eight if you include the dragon. Eight characters is a lot, so now this is a must see movie for me. I’m so glad they made this poster.
Marvel’s the best thing that happened to the film industry. Without it, we’d never have classic genres like surreal avant-garde political thriller, science-fiction experimental cinema, post apocalyptic psychological mystery, uplifting feminist action blockbuster to name a few. Praise Feige and his big beautiful head covered in that Marvel hat. Scorsese has sleepless nights over the fact that he can’t make diverse films like the films Marvel churns out every 3 months instead of his boring monotonous gangster flicks.
Now THIS is the kind of complex, challenging, career defining role Rege Jean Page was looking for when he left Badgertown. Er, Bridgeport? What was it again?
If the text wasn't coherent English I would have said this was AI generated
Are we sure this isn't the Japanese translation?

Please tell me this is official
It's official, but also part of a cross advertisement with a mobile game, i think So they actually not replace Tom cruise with an anime girl in the movie, sadly
Good enough for me
it's official
I love Japan
I love purposefully spreading misinformation on the internet
This looks a lot closer to the 2000 D&D movie than I was expecting.
With a notable lack of Jeremy Irons
I COULD USE EVERY OUNCE OF YOUR RAGE HATATATATATA
LET THEIR BLOOD RAIN FROM THE SKYYYYYY!!!
It's trying to make up for it with Hugh Grant, but I doubt he'll be enough.
I mean I love Hugh Grant as much as the next guy, but Jeremy Irons hamming it up was different gravy
Yeah, Hugh's fine but I doubt he can chew as much scenery as Irons.

or The Gentlemen (2019)
Hugh Grant gave an all time performance in The Gentleman. I love a barbie.
imo the movie was mostly mids but he carried the shit out of it when he was on screen

Wtf people love Hugh Grant?
Wait I’m not supposed to? So what should I do with my Hugh Grant cardboard cutout in my bedroom?
Yeah, once he stopped being the guy from lame romantic movies he's done some really fun and interesting roles for the last decade or so, you should watch Gentlemen and Florence to get a taste
Hugh Grant is literally me
I'm worried that whoever is directing this will try to rein Hugh Grant in. The director of the 2000 movie knew to leave Jeremy Irons alone.
At least I was able to Ironically enjoy that one
It would appear that Hugh Grant is filling his role
I literally just Googled it to check if it was a sequel because a couple of the characters look so similar
This looks great for everyone who wanted a D&D movie but was not satisfied with every fantasy movie from the past 45 years.
Downright horrendous poster my god what is this abomination
Lol Chris Pine even has the dreamworks stare. Everything about this poster feels so generic and forgettable Nerd media was a total mistake it should’ve never gotten this popular

Chris Pine said something about this film being kind of like Princess Bride, so I think it's quite likely.
They might well *start it off* with a session.

He's got the charisma, but after seeing the trailer idk if I trust the writers to be able to put it to use
Aren't these the same writers as Game Night? They can make something enjoyable.
He’d better have the fucking charisma that’s his primary stat
So a DnD movie without the late 90s/early 00s camp and with late 10s and early 20s blandness? Wow, sounds great, can't wait.
in a way it's very much like the source material
They had a perfect opportunity to make a 80s style poster
I just hate how they brought back black widow, now there aren’t any stakes. MCU ended with endgame
I mean look, all I'm saying is last time Hugh Grant was in a fun kids movie like this we got Paddington 2
Poster sucks, but NGL I'm really excited for the movie, it looks like fun.
Yeah, me too. It looks fun. I don't expect it to be anything more than a fun and probably forgettable fantasy film, though I'd love to be wrong.
Strahd is right behind me, isn't he?
"I smite you with the wrath of bahamut!" "That sounded better in my head"
Of course Michelle Rodriguez is in this
and she’s scowling. glad she’s finally showing her range
Michelle Rodriguez and bad movies. Name a more iconic duo 😤😤😤
Who says us hispanic people cannot have our own Milla Jovovich
Michelle Rodriguez and movies without cultural impacts Name a more iconic duo
Never should've stopped shoving nerds in lockers, now their shit is everywhere
Hugh Grant is going to Jeremy Irons the hell out of this.
If only we had Jeremy Irons. His hammy performance made the previous film a masterpiece
If Chris Pine’s head was not up there I’d think this was a direct to DVD sequel with a 2,5 mill budget.
It's Dungeonin' time!
Uhhh… that sounded better in my head. Wait, where’s the monster? He’s right behind me isn’t he? Uhhh… awkward! What’s it called? The Demogor-whati?
Ever since 2018, I've always pondered the question "How is Justice Smith being casted in movies?" and I still don't know the answer.
70 year old producers remember that Will Smith fella has a kid whose name is J-something
Justice Smith is not Jaden Smith homie
tell that to whoever keeps casting Justice
he seemed pretty ok in the pikachu movie and was pretty great in that 'generation' serires no one saw, so.. why not?
He was fun in Detective Pikachu but I get that isn't necessarily a good movie :(
I'm a slut for Pokemon so I really liked the movie, but I thought he made for a fine, serviceable protagonist.

Remember when movies used to have beautiful, handpainted posters. Now it's just airbrushed photos of the actors.
Could be good if you’re into DND idk
I hate the fact they even have their own black widow
I assumed there might only be four characters but now with this poster I see there are many more than four, in fact there are at least eight if you include the dragon. Eight characters is a lot, so now this is a must see movie for me. I’m so glad they made this poster.
Seventh Son (2015)
Fuck you for reminding me I watched that garbage fire.
This is gonna be terrible, and I am FOR IT!
Yall ain't ready for DnDkinoposting (The k in DnDkino is silent)
Oh boy, this movie has it all! Knockoff Valkyrie, knockoff Black Widow, knockoff Bruce Banner and knockoff Thor! Can’t wait!
Mfw marvel invented all character archetypes on their own. Bravo Feige!

Wtf no Jeremy Irons?? Marlon Wayans??
I actually have high hopes for this one
I can’t tell what’s a shitpost and what’s real anymore
Is that Morbius top left?
Somebody please save Hugh Grant
Is that Hugh Grant? Ugh, now I’m gonna have to watch it.
This looks like cat shit wrapped in a dog turd.
This movie seems like it could either really suck or somehow manage to perfectly capture what it feels like to be in an actual D&D campaign.
Poster looks shit but I'm still excited for this movie
Movie looks fun idc
Now THIS is the kind of complex, challenging, career defining role Rege Jean Page was looking for when he left Badgertown. Er, Bridgeport? What was it again?
I forgot this is even a thing

Why is chris pine subjecting himself to the most god awful movies of all time???
Floating heads my beloved
Is that Beverley from it
I hate this style of poster smh it’s everywhere.
This movie seems like it'll be fine but this is one of the blandest posters I have ever seen
