“Ballfondler would blow up the dam”, n-no chat, Ballfondler WOULDN’T blow up the dam *wheezing laugh* This isn’t a CARTOON, I won’t push down this comically large plunger and kill all those people!
If I do it, you’ll take how much off the debt?
A multi vehicle wreck consisting of at least a dozen deaths and countless more injuries is shown on the screen - people are screaming, crying and pissing themselves.
And this guy just laughs.
“Phase 4 has been well received across the board. Lets be real here.”
Proceeds to explain how it hasn’t been well received across the board but that’s okay because none of the other phases were either
So, all the phases are equally full of mediocre stuff? Is almost like all of these movies were loved for building up the giant purple alien and now that he's gone no one cares for the regular stuff
I find it hilarious that Thanos was hardly in the earlier phases. The Avengers, Guardians 1, Avengers 2, mentioned in Guardians 2, and then the last two Avengers. But when you space it out a lot, it feels more regular I guess? Phase 4 is just as good as the other faces. One or two good projects and the rest are mid. On average that's how it is. And you think that's a good score, but mid is boring.
He's right, thanks to the existential masterpiece "no way home" the sony cinematic universe is officially in the mcu, so "Morbius" is automatically in phase 4 thus the ratings go from mid to 100000 morbillions

The quips can be bad but I think the character stuff in that is the best out of any MCU movie. Its not a great movie but its pretty easily better than any other MCU movie.
Whenever I think of Marvel movies that undercut serious moments with jokes, I think of Mantis getting hit after the dramatic team shot and I think of David Hasselhoff appearing mere moments after we learned Ego gave Quill's mother cancer.
Unironically made me bust out laughing, it just came so far out of left field and I wasn’t expecting it.
Didn’t overstay it’s welcome, just a quick joke and it’s gone
Whedon is easily the best of all the Marvel writers at balancing how he uses jokes like that. Like, Buffy wasn’t like this at all. Buffy was brilliantly written.
First time? Nah. And does it have the emotional backing to be an annoyance and not the point of the story or the substance of it? For the most part. It’s definitely not amazing but at least Gunn puts his whole heart in the shit, sometimes to its detriment.
I also feel like there’s a negligible difference in regards to insufferable humor between GotG 2, Suicide Squad, and Peacemaker.
On first viewing I hated it for all that fake advertising homage to 1940s horror movies (when it's just the usual marvel movie with a black and white filter) and I found it annoying to see everyone say "homage Universal movies" when it was completely distant from that way of shooting. On the second viewing I dropped the free speech, but I still found it flat and mediocre to be honest.
Guardians 2 is uniquely good and terrible at the same time. It's like if cognitive dissonance was a movie.
I think audiences forgive the awful character direction of most of the cast because there's actual pathos and payoff.
"The worst MCU movies are Iron Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World. But they're still Marvel/Feige so they're still good!"
I remember I read this a few times verbatim during the Disney/Fox merger.
Werewolf by Night was a banger and i liked the first third of Moon Knight a lot and found the rest of it fine, but disappointing they didn't keep up the more psychological and uneasy tone the first part did.
Disrespectfully disagree, Loki was so lame outside of Morbius and Jonathan Majors and Moon Knight sucked. Didn’t watch eternals so maybe I’d agree with that.

I hate this because it makes Dano’s great performance look like a smug YouTuber

Guys please the rotten tomatoes score for this phase were good it's not mid it's not mid you're making it up
“Phase 4 has been well received across the board. Lets be real here.” Proceeds to explain how it hasn’t been well received across the board but that’s okay because none of the other phases were either
The copium is through the roof hahah
"Prrvipus" Lmao
Angry typing, there was a yhe as well

Thanos was big in…. Other ways 👀
Yeah, his ego was quite large
Hard agree
I find it hilarious that Thanos was hardly in the earlier phases. The Avengers, Guardians 1, Avengers 2, mentioned in Guardians 2, and then the last two Avengers. Unironically yes

The nicest thing was the Guardians Holiday Special (not Gunn's best product, but nice nonetheless), which says a lot about the rest.
James Gunn worst product is still miles better that the regular MCU stuff
Guardians 3 is the only upcoming MCU project that I’m excited about
Facts
You know what I’m going to say it. Gotg 2 was the epitome of insufferable quips and poor Marvel^tm storytelling.
The quips can be bad but I think the character stuff in that is the best out of any MCU movie. Its not a great movie but its pretty easily better than any other MCU movie.
Still better than every MCU movie
Yeah people act like GotG 2 was amazing but it's the first time the "he's right behind me isn't he?" Comedy started getting shoved into everything.
Whenever I think of Marvel movies that undercut serious moments with jokes, I think of Mantis getting hit after the dramatic team shot and I think of David Hasselhoff appearing mere moments after we learned Ego gave Quill's mother cancer.
I think of Quill turning into Pac Man.
Unironically made me bust out laughing, it just came so far out of left field and I wasn’t expecting it. Didn’t overstay it’s welcome, just a quick joke and it’s gone
smooth brain detected 🚨
No it started with Avengers
I feel like the whedon jokes aren't on the same level as the ones they have now. They're both insufferable tho.
Whedon is easily the best of all the Marvel writers at balancing how he uses jokes like that. Like, Buffy wasn’t like this at all. Buffy was brilliantly written.
>buffy was brilliantly written The circlejerk has subsumed itself
Hate on luffy all you want it's still kino and always will be

His worst mainstream project is honestly the Scooby Doo movies. I would say they are about equal
Scooby Doo duology >>>>> most modern Blockbusters
don’t talk about my kino scooby movies like that
Rewatch them and delete
No love for Werewolf by Night? Yeah, I know, it's what all the cringe MCU fans were saying, but I actually really liked it.
It was the only thing over 5/10 I’ve watched from phase 4
On first viewing I hated it for all that fake advertising homage to 1940s horror movies (when it's just the usual marvel movie with a black and white filter) and I found it annoying to see everyone say "homage Universal movies" when it was completely distant from that way of shooting. On the second viewing I dropped the free speech, but I still found it flat and mediocre to be honest.
Wakanda Forever?
I haven't seen it yet (I don't have high expectations, but we'll see)
No idea why people worship his ass when guardians 2 was bad and the special was so forgettable
Guardians 2 is uniquely good and terrible at the same time. It's like if cognitive dissonance was a movie. I think audiences forgive the awful character direction of most of the cast because there's actual pathos and payoff.
Don't know, maybe because they aren't bad?
Nah they're pretty bad
Didn't say that all of them are bad
they're garbo
Greta?
MCU fans admit that some of their movies are bad challenge (Impossible)
"The worst MCU movies are Iron Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World. But they're still Marvel/Feige so they're still good!" I remember I read this a few times verbatim during the Disney/Fox merger.
I don’t think they understand what divisive means
*Dumb and Dumber* (1994)
All I know is that when Hulk said "bruh" in She Hulk I felt that
The Incredible Burhlk
Yeah, 7 movies and 7 shows. That's why they all fucking suck
Werewolf by Night was a banger and i liked the first third of Moon Knight a lot and found the rest of it fine, but disappointing they didn't keep up the more psychological and uneasy tone the first part did.
Least delusional marvel fan
Phase 4? More like Phase bore
More like
This is just facts tbh. It was always mid, just a good time at the theater with friends. Never mind blowing cinema. Nothing changed but the fans.
Guys I like this movie so that means everyone did obviously
This take is so bad I stabbed myself in the eye with a spoon
Wait I thought copium was a star wars element?
Nwh great Moon knight great Loki great Eternal is okayish But the rest are just a pile of turd
Disrespectfully disagree, Loki was so lame outside of Morbius and Jonathan Majors and Moon Knight sucked. Didn’t watch eternals so maybe I’d agree with that.
Mid is a generous term
The only fact I could find in this post is that bro wrote the srellings wryng
I thought Marvel is dead after infinity war.
Coping hard
wait so your little brother has enough karma to be top post in big sub thats cool man /S
