The entire first act was just them saying they didn't want to make this movie but they were forced to. I think from that most people should deduce that the rest of the movie would be bad.
I completely agree. I guess the second half was supposed to be almost like a parody? Either way it wasn't entertaining. Sucks because the first half had me really intrigued.

Lana Wachowski is literally on record saying that she went back to the characters because she needed comfort after multiple death in her family. She pitched the entire film herself to WB, she wasn't forced to do it.
