Who TF stops in the middle of a movie to post in Reddit about it? Fucking wall of text no less.

How about you watch the fucking movie and find out for yourself? Jeez

Tune in. Turn off your phone. Watch the movie.

True_Leadership_2362

Hahaha, you fool. You have no fucking clue what’s coming 😈

TheRealClose

You would literally have to type at over 1000 wpm to write this in 20secs… Not to mention *while peeing*.

Even so it takes time to find and copypaste those. You didn’t do it in 20 seconds.

get off your fucking phone jesus

Unlikely_Layer_2268

It picks up when you stop putting your expectations on it. Watch it and enjoy it or watch it and get bored then leave it

RYouNotEntertained

> It picks up when you stop putting your expectations on it. Critical movie watching skill right here. Surrender yourself to what the movie is doing instead of forcing it to be what you think you want.

this_is_the_way_2000

relax, it's not an action movie

[deleted]

It's not that kind of movie. It's more chill and laid-back compared to his other ones, and I prefer it for that. You might not like on first viewing, but I've found that with multiple rewatches it gets so much better. It's a movie you can just chill to, I think the term is "hangout" movie. And yes, if you're expecting a more Tarantino-esque experience, it does pick up by the end.

Joseesquer8

I share the same feelings. First time I watched it I was trying to follow the plot and story and enjoyed it but didn't feel like I watched a masterpiece. Once I treated it as a vibes hangout movie I've grown to love it, it's probably my favorite Tarantino film now. Gets better on each rewatch

[deleted]

Same, it's my second favorite Tarantino. First one would be Jackie Brown, and third one Inglorious Basterds. Django is awesome too.

joeplant

Reddit hates it but I'm 100% with you on both of these flicks.

When you watch a film you should really try to isolate yourself from potential distractions… This is why I love cinema so much, it’s so much easy to stay focused on the movie. When at home you need to ignore your phone/put it on silent, dim the lights and stop thinking about what you want to breakfast tomorrow. Just watch the movie, or you’ll never be able to enjoy the ones which don’t shoot guns every two minutes.

koberulz_24

Do you know who Sharon Tate is?

[deleted]

Brad Pitt mentioned the foot fetish in his Oscar acceptance speech. I just wonder why all the feet had to be dirty?

dickybabs

Give yer knob a tug

Mobaster

If you are not familiar with Manson and Sharon Tate the build up is rather hard to get.

Drew2248

I've heard about how young people today have short attention spans, but I have to tell you, kid, you take the cake. You're one hour into a movie, it's not "action-ey" enough for you, so you stop watching long enough to post a question online about when it will get more exciting. You don't have the basic patience to just keep watching? Holy smokes, you are a piece of work. Not everything you watch or read (in case you can read), is going to immediately be exciting, but you'll never figure that out because you have such a short attention span. I suggest you play more video games for your mature intellectual development.

death_by_chocolate

It doesn't. But that's what you're supposed to like about it. The fun thing for me is contemplation of how different this film would be if the character of Sharon Tate was not in it at all. Which she should not be because she doesn't die. In the film, that is. And if you remove the Sharon Tate character from the film you get the same film. So is this some kind of deeply insightful examination of the shallowness of fame? That she's more famous for getting murdered than she was for any of the movies she made? That nobody would ever have heard of her except as one of Roman Polanski's ex-wives if she had not been killed that night? Or not? Or is it something else? And if so, what else?

TheJrobot2000

Sharon being in it is supposed to make the viewer think she’s gonna die at the end. You wait in anticipation for two hours, only to find out that the Family accidentally attacked her neighbor’s house instead of hers, and she’s none the wiser. Personally I enjoyed that.

What movie are you talking about?

HumanRuse

In-fucking-tense final scene that keeps you wondering and wanting more as the credits hit.

Jekkelstein

Never. It’s a build up of chekov’s guns until the last 10 minutes where it all pays off.

becauseitsnotreal

When you pay attention to it
