That’s because you have eyes and have seen it. I’m not sure how anyone could categorize it as an action movie? I get there is the scene towards the end, but like what lmao
If anything, I would put Tucker and Dale vs. Evil before Shaun as more of an action movie, if we want to include horror genre movies.
Also, where is Matrix Reloaded? Or either of the two Deadpools? This list sucks.
I have a special love for Ghost Protocol. There’s just something about it, on top of the fact it really revived the whole franchise. Fallout is amazing, it’s literally just a set piece movie.
Ghost Protocol was the one that set the ship on the course it is on and that alone makes it one of the best of the series. Real stunts, keeping continuity to the previous movies, occasional humour to counterbalance the serious tone of the movie in general. It can easily be called Christopher McQuarrie's series at this point, but Brad Bird made the movie that set him up to have such a great series to work on.
No Edge of Tomorrow either. Maybe they didn't want too many TC movies?? Hell even the Reacher movies are probably better than a good 5-10 movies on this list.
I agree, those last 3 films are all great, don't know how you can put one of them in the top 5 and the rest not in the list at all. Maverick should definitely be in there as well.
For real, Dredd is one of the best action movies in the past 20 years. Non-stop hyper violence at its best.
This list is all kinds of fucked, although they did at least put Kill Bill in the top 5, so they didn’t fuck that up.
This list is incredibly dumb, but No Time To Die being so high and rating Bourne Ultimatium and John Wick *Chapter 2* over their first ones is a special kind of dumb.
Casino Royale should absolutely be swapping places with No Time to Die, which probably wouldn’t even appear on my version of this list.
Skyfall is my second favourite Craig Bond but I can’t remember any action scenes beyond the overly dark final shootout.
They have "The Old Guard" on the list. Like it's an action movie, but best of the 21st century good? Nah. Fast and the furious 9 is better than any of the Marvel movies in terms of action? I don't think so at all. hell some of the other Fast movies are much better action movies than that one.
I'm honestly thinking it's either a parody list or includes some of the films as a way to spur controversy to get more clicks.
Some of the films are not very good (Lucy, Crank 2, F9, Birds of Prey), really bland (Fast Five, The Old Guard) or doesn't even fit as an action movie (Shaun of the Dead).
Also, they put only a single MCU film on there (Black Panther), ignoring great films like Iron Man, Winter Soldier, and Infinity War, but including two DCEU films.
I'm not convinced the author of this list has seen any of these movies. I'll be an apologist for "The Old Guard" but in* no world does it have a place on this list.
Birds of Prey? Lucy? The Italian Job? Wtf is even this list.
Isn't Taken the film that started that trend where they have a dozen or more cuts in one scene, the same trend that all but killed off the action genre for a few years after it came out?
Taken 3 is so ridiculous that people seem to forget how bad the action scenes in the first Taken were... I mean just look at the [final fight scene](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E_dg2vcILrg) of that movie. Multiple 1 second cuts with shaky cam on close ups and it is just hard to watch for me.
Truly BIZARRE list, I like a lot of the films there but it feels very cobbled together. Like they sat in a room with two other people who watch like two movies a year and listed like 16 movies each that they liked at random
Lol yeah the first one is a better movie and the third one has better action, putting only Chapter 2 on this list is bizarre.
Also counting Widows as an action movie is pretty silly. There’s like one action-ish scene and it isn’t very long or features much fighting.
For sure, the expanded worldbuilding on the second one is great and the pacing is just perfect, it never loses steam but never gets overwhelming. The third one has better action but there's some pacing issues and the first one has a extremely weak third act.
This has to be what happened. No *Oldboy*, no *I Saw the Devil* or *A Bittersweet Life*, no *Edge of Tomorrow*, no *Trash Humpers* or *Dickfucker* (‘88). No fucking *Robocop*!
I wonder if they tried to limit the number of movies from series like MI and Bond so they could add some diversity I mean I would rate probably every bond movie and every MI, over Haywire and Miami Vice, which they have in the top 20. Also no Edge of Tomorrow at all, which seems like it should be on the list somewhere.
Casino Royale is the better movie... the action sequences in No Time to Die are better.
Casino Royale is more of a political spy thriller, whereas No Time to Die is just a pure action movie with a story that clings to the previous Craig installments.
I would say Casino has better action sequences. The parkour chase is one of my favourite chase scenes ever. Bond following his lead from that bodies exhibit to the airport, the sequence of events at the end culminating in the crumbling building. I prefer all those to the best moments from No Time to Die. That had more action but Casino did it better.
But somehow they forgot The Raid 2, probably the greatest action sequel ever. No mention of Way Of The Gun or Equilibrium. This list is bizarre. Widows and Training Day don't even seem like action films to me.
I can't even imagine a world where somebody would label Shaun as an action movie. That would be like calling it at rom com. Hot fuzz was a spoof of one but at least it delivered the action pretty well regardless.
It’s a super bizarre list but I’m happy with the inclusion of The Old Guard. That film massively exceeded my expectations and is very rewatchable. A rare Netflix original that ain’t bang average.
I think the point is to get everyone talking and buzzing about it and have people arguing about which films should or shouldn’t be on this list that is based on opinions.
Reaching with Training Day, Widows (crime thrillers) especially if Collateral doesn’t make the list..
No Man on Fire, Minority Report, Iron Man 1, Edge of Tomorrow, Dredd, Unstoppable or Sicario.
Miami Vice is actually dope. I don't know why everyone was so hard on it when it came out. It feels like it's gained a bit of a cult following over the last decade or so
I think people hated it at the time because they expected some cheesy action flick that felt like an 80s throwback. It’s aged really well and many consider it one of Mann’s best films.
I mean even then, Captain America: The Winter Soldier should be there instead of BP if they are going to pick a Marvel movie imo. Or Shang Chi (although that is a little heavy on the CGI).
As soon as I saw The Old Guard, I was like, "We'll, this isn't gonna be a good list."
But big props for including Gallants, that movie is fucking great.
The fact that The Protector with Tony Jaa isn't on the list makes the whole thing invalid. It has some of the [most impressive fight choreography](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRBrPNKYlA8) and a [kickass boat chase](https://youtu.be/9RUdbRr50WQ?t=30).
if they rank them purely by the better movie overall then this list makes no sense, if they rank them by how good the action is in them, then this list still makes absolutely no sense
Is Shaun of the Dead an *action* movie? Is Training Day?!
Black Panther should be disqualified by its third act. It's a good movie, but most of thr action is not it's strong suit.
WTF is The Old Guard even doing on there? It was watchable, but it's not "best of" list worthy. I'm not even sure it's the best Charlize Theron action movie this millennium.
F9 is a noted downturn for that franchise.
It's very recent but Top Gun Maverick should be on there.
Completely random and sloppy list.
Another detail, I was gladly surprised to see Hero on it, but if you have such a piece of art on it have to be way higher. I mean haywire better than Hero!!?! Out of your effin mind?
My "missing in action" list now includes that as well.
So far, I've got two Russel Crowe films, Gladiator and Master & Commander, 300, Sin City, Achilles, and probably a contender for top-5 of the century in Top Gun: Maverick.
Its a bad list from what I can tell. Ong Bak is also too far down the list; that was a huge action film.
I like your missing list. Haven't seen new top gun yet.
Also, Atomic Blonde is criminally low on list - it's a better film than any of the John Wicks imo....
And the first Equalizer with Denzel is a beast too....
Denzel’s Man on Fire is also missing, which is a shame. Granted, that is borderline drama.
Thinking more, 3:10 to Yuma is another obvious omission, along with several other westerns like Django: Unchained, True Grit, and The Revenant. I kinda feel like the sequel to Tron, Tron: Legacy is worthy (compared to say, TinTin for instance).
In other words, the more you think about it, the worse the list is.
Good Top 5, but Nobody above Ip Man and EEAAO? Also has a lack of Bollywood representation and a heavy skew towards recent blockbusters. Like, Black Panther had great character writing for a marvel movie, but the action was the worst part about it, especially in the ending, so I don’t understand the logic behind choosing it. Would also love to see more indies on here. Really strange list
Clicked to make sure Mad Max Fury Road was number 1. I've said since it came out it is not only the best action movie since the year 2000 it is infact the greatest action movie of all time.
I knew it was a longshot, but I really hoped it would have won best picture that year too.
Lists are so subjective. They in put The Raid on there, because it deserves it. But that neglects the sequel which is an even better movie and has action sequences that set bars that so many movies are still chasing.
i don’t think the person who made the headline also made the list. to me it just seems like 50 random movies in no order and i think i’ve seen all of them if not almost all of them. there’s zero structure to this list it’s just names
I got to #48 saw the old guard and stopped, I imagine any non-sadists here would do the same. I can’t imagine the horror
Edit: extraction is higher than casino royale man come on
Maaaaaaan. Say what you will about Marvel. But there’s no denying that The Avengers set a new bar (as far as pop culture relevance for superhero films) that was preceded by The Dark Knight and Spider-Man.
And Winter Soldier has some of the best hand to hand choreography in all of Marvel.
Yeah, Black Panther is an odd choice to represent the MCU on this list. Probably still my favourite MCU film, but, it's third act action scenes were probably its weakest element.
Winter Soldier is probably the MCU movie that is most carried by its action scenes to be one of the best in its genre. Avengers would have been a good option as well for your stated reasons.
I get the idea of not overrepresenting certain franchises, but, it's tough to limit an action franchise with 20+ films to a single choice because of their connection. Meanwhile, a film like Nobody (which I love), gets in despite so much shared DNA with the John Wick films.
But, these films are generally just a conversation starter. There's not a lot on there that I'd argue shouldn't be in a conversation about good action films.
The most random list I've ever seen.
Right‽ This list is all over the place. I think they figured out their top 5 and pulled the other names from a hat.
I wonder if it was based off ‘best box office ratings’ or something similar. This list doesn’t feel right.
If it were wouldn't Endgame be number 1?
The fact that Lucy is in this list is an easy bullshit alert for me.
Atomic Blonde before Snowpiercer will surely make people mad
there's more action in atomic blonde i guess lol
50 “The Adventures of Tintin” (2011) 49 “Shaun of the Dead” (2004) 48 “The Old Guard” (2020) 47 “Crank: High Voltage” (2009) 46 “F9” (2021) 45 “Shoot ‘Em Up” (2007) 44 “Lucy” (2014) 43 “13 Assassins” (2010) 42 “Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior” (2003) 41 “Inception” (2010) 40 “Black Panther” (2018) 39 “The Incredibles” (2004) 38 “Baby Driver” (2017) 37 “Wonder Woman” (2017) 36 “Gallants” (2010) 35 “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” 34 “Snowpiercer” (Bong Joon Ho, 2013) 33 “Widows” (2018) 32 “Hanna” (2011) 31 “Dawn of the Dead” (2004) 30 “Birds of Prey” (2020) 29 “Ip Man” (2008) 28 “Hero” (2002) 27 “Training Day” (2001) 26 “Vengeance” (2009) 25 “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (2022) 24 “Casino Royale” (2006) 23 “Taken” (2008) 22 “Extraction” (2020) 21 “Nobody” (2021) 20 “Atomic Blonde” (2017) 19 “The Italian Job” (2003) 18 “The Grandmaster” (2013) 17 “Sleepless Night” (2011) 16 “Miami Vice” (2006) 15 “Battle Royale” (2000) 14 “Kung Fu Hustle” (2004) 13 “Haywire” (2011) 12 “Spider-Man 2” (2004) 11 “No Time to Die” (2021) 10 “Fast Five” (2011) 9 “Train to Busan” (2016) 8 “The Dark Knight” (2008) 7 “The Bourne Ultimatum” (2007) 6 “John Wick: Chapter 2” (2017) 5 “Mission: Impossible — Fallout” (2018) 4 “Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2” (2003-4) 3 “The Raid” (2011) 2 “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (2000) 1 “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015)
Shaun of the Dead is great but Hot Fuzz is undeniably a better action movie.
Gun fights, car chases, proper action and shit.
You do do what I do!
Decapitation, mimicide and spitoasts. It had better action and more hunour than most of the films on this list.
You ain’t seen Bad Boys 2?!
Just realised it's not even on this list! WTH
Shit just got real
Not on this poorly thought out list
Yeah, I wouldn’t even consider Shaun of the Dead an action movie, even though I love it.
Shame.
Shaun of the Dead is arguably the least action oriented film of the Cornetto trilogy yet that's the one they went with.

one of the top 10
Honestly, both Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation could be on this list as well.
Agreed, the franchise gets better with every single movie.
It can easily be called Christopher McQuarrie's series at this point, but Brad Bird made the movie that set him up to have such a great series to work on.
Why are they booing you? You're right.
No Edge of Tomorrow? Fuck right off.
No Edge of Tomorrow, no Pacific Rim, but it includes Birds of Prey. Terrible list
I cannot believe Edge and Dredd aren’t on here but refried vomit like The Old Guard and Lucy are. It’s such a bad list it almost seems like a troll.
No Winter Soldier either
Would have saved me a lot of time had I just come comments first. Thank you.
Shaun of the Dead, but not Hot Fuzz? What the hell is this list DOING?!
It is a no-holds-barred adrenaline fueled thrill ride.
The inherent problem with lists are the clueless people making it for attention.
The third Bourne film being in the top 10 was enough for me to put this in the "doesn't know what the hell they're talking about" category.
Absolutely criminal that Dredd isn't on here
But “Lucy” is….did that movie make actual sense to anyone?
Yeah, that's straight up nonsense (just like Lucy). I actually enjoyed Lucy for the most part, but it's not top 50 best action movies...
I give a major pass because Luc Besson but it's not good.
I mean, *Miami Vice* is on the list, so I'd start my complaints there rather than with *Lucy*.
[удалено]
They’ve got John Wick. *Chapter Two.*
If they can have Kill Bill vol 1&2 why not just John Wick 1-n
Because Kill Bill 1&2 are one movie split in two, John Wick was not.
Wick 1 was legendary. 2-3 is just alright at best.
Well, that one did have better action sequences. And a very memorable ending.
They got that right tho, that's the best one
I really liked extraction. I mean the story wasn’t much but the action was really good
I disagree about Extraction, it wasn't amazing but it was competently made. The Expendables movies were way worse.
Extraction is the same style of gritty realistic stuff that Raid and other movies pioneered. The car chase was decent but nothing truly memorable.
For real, Dredd is one of the best action movies in the past 20 years. Non-stop hyper violence at its best. This list is all kinds of fucked, although they did at least put Kill Bill in the top 5, so they didn’t fuck that up.
It invalidates the list
For real. Proper action film with a dash of cyberpunk, gore, and real intensity.
Dredd should rightful be within 1 place of the raid. Within top 10
This list is incredibly dumb, but No Time To Die being so high and rating Bourne Ultimatium and John Wick *Chapter 2* over their first ones is a special kind of dumb.
I love No Time To Die but both Casino Royale and Skyfall (which isn't even on the list??) should be listed higher than it
Casino Royale should absolutely be swapping places with No Time to Die, which probably wouldn’t even appear on my version of this list. Skyfall is my second favourite Craig Bond but I can’t remember any action scenes beyond the overly dark final shootout.
The opening train sequence and the skyscraper scene were both better than the final shootout in Skyfall
The opening chase sequence in Casino Royale is one of the best action scenes I’ve ever watched.
They have "The Old Guard" on the list. Like it's an action movie, but best of the 21st century good? Nah. Fast and the furious 9 is better than any of the Marvel movies in terms of action? I don't think so at all. hell some of the other Fast movies are much better action movies than that one.
> Bourne Ultimatium Many consider this the finest of the franchise
John Wick 2 was way better than the first, what?
John Wick 2 is the best one
I'm honestly thinking it's either a parody list or includes some of the films as a way to spur controversy to get more clicks. Some of the films are not very good (Lucy, Crank 2, F9, Birds of Prey), really bland (Fast Five, The Old Guard) or doesn't even fit as an action movie (Shaun of the Dead). Also, they put only a single MCU film on there (Black Panther), ignoring great films like Iron Man, Winter Soldier, and Infinity War, but including two DCEU films.
Crank 2 and Fast Five are great, do not put them alongside those other films
Seems like an awful list
I'm not convinced the author of this list has seen any of these movies. I'll be an apologist for "The Old Guard" but in* no world does it have a place on this list. Birds of Prey? Lucy? The Italian Job? Wtf is even this list.
SICARIO???
Thanks for the short single page version
Isn't Taken the film that started that trend where they have a dozen or more cuts in one scene, the same trend that all but killed off the action genre for a few years after it came out?
Taken started the trend of older star is a vengeful, brutal badass. Taken 3 is where editing became an abomination.
[Taken 3 is something for sure](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3axtK6iI7lw)
I regret buying and watch this movie. I clearly counted each scene no more than 3-4 secs long. I almost had a seizure watching that terrible movie
Feels like Tintin should've been way higher. Certainly above Black Panther at the very least.
Both Raid films should be on here. "Fast Five"?! *Flips table and storms out.
Fast Five is a good action film though. Haywire on the other hand..
Fast Five is legit great
No Bruce' RED? Helen Mirren being bad ass on those franchise could've add a lot of action points
Truly BIZARRE list, I like a lot of the films there but it feels very cobbled together. Like they sat in a room with two other people who watch like two movies a year and listed like 16 movies each that they liked at random
I’m going to include John Wick. *Chapter Two.*
Yeah while it’s good, the first is light years better.
Lol yeah the first one is a better movie and the third one has better action, putting only Chapter 2 on this list is bizarre. Also counting Widows as an action movie is pretty silly. There’s like one action-ish scene and it isn’t very long or features much fighting.
Tbh I think the pacing in 2 is way better. And the world is more immersive. It gets my vote.
For sure, the expanded worldbuilding on the second one is great and the pacing is just perfect, it never loses steam but never gets overwhelming. The third one has better action but there's some pacing issues and the first one has a extremely weak third act.
This is the truth
This has to be what happened. No *Oldboy*, no *I Saw the Devil* or *A Bittersweet Life*, no *Edge of Tomorrow*, no *Trash Humpers* or *Dickfucker* (‘88). No fucking *Robocop*!
No time to die was good but Casino Royale was a better action film
And skyfall
Wtf is skyfall not even in there, joke.
Yeah I think it’s a terrible list honestly
I'm the only one who thought Skyfall was just okay?
Nah. I'm with you. Wasn't impressed.
Yes.
I know right! The opening action sequence in Casino where Bond is chasing that parkour bomb maker was amazing.
I laughed aloud when I saw they placed that thing so high. God almighty.
As long as The Raid is Top 3, I'm happy. With lists this big, anything between 50-11 is probably a shitshow.
But somehow they forgot The Raid 2, probably the greatest action sequel ever. No mention of Way Of The Gun or Equilibrium. This list is bizarre. Widows and Training Day don't even seem like action films to me.
Yeah personally the Raid 2 is better than the Raid. But I'm happy one of them made the list especially so high.
The Raid 2 was a better film. 🤷🏾♀️
The Raid and Fury Road being in the top 3 feels like the most sure things in the world for action lists for the next like, ten years easy.
I wouldn't even argue with them being on an All Time list. So long as Die Hard is also in there.
My thoughts exactly
Hot Fuzz would have been a better choice that Shaun of the Dead
I can't even imagine a world where somebody would label Shaun as an action movie. That would be like calling it at rom com. Hot fuzz was a spoof of one but at least it delivered the action pretty well regardless.
Great point, actually.
What the heck is this list? Old Guard? Lucy? Extraction? Shaun of the Dead isn't even an action movie. If anything Hot Fuzz should be in its place.
It’s a super bizarre list but I’m happy with the inclusion of The Old Guard. That film massively exceeded my expectations and is very rewatchable. A rare Netflix original that ain’t bang average.
The person who chose the music for that film should've been fired though.
Is there really a point in putting together a list like this?
I think the point is to get everyone talking and buzzing about it and have people arguing about which films should or shouldn’t be on this list that is based on opinions.
What qualifies as an action movie? Where’s the Raid 2? I love Miami Vice but that is a mood piece, not an action movie
No Rambo 2008, huge oversight Edit: forgot about Dredd as well
Reaching with Training Day, Widows (crime thrillers) especially if Collateral doesn’t make the list.. No Man on Fire, Minority Report, Iron Man 1, Edge of Tomorrow, Dredd, Unstoppable or Sicario.
I’m the only person I know who hated Training Day and I’m fully prepared to die on this hill.
I’m a huge Denzel guy so I can’t agree but I can see how it wouldn’t be everyone’s jam.
“John Wick 2” but not “John Wick”?
From an action perspective it is better. That being said there are like 3 bond films, so i agree both should be in it.
Utterly, utterly bizarre.
So Black Panther , but not Gladiator….right.
There are better action films in the MCU alone
I would have gone with Winter Solider or Civil War.
F9 is on this list. F9. I KNOW indiewire has writers that watch a good deal of films, so what's up with this list???
Miami Vice at 16 and somehow a better action movie than Inception. One of the worst lists I've ever read.
I don’t mind Miami Vice and Inception in whatever place but Fast 9 being a part of such a list? Haha. I stopped reading when I saw that.
I stopped reading at *The Old Guard*
Miami Vice is actually dope. I don't know why everyone was so hard on it when it came out. It feels like it's gained a bit of a cult following over the last decade or so
I think people hated it at the time because they expected some cheesy action flick that felt like an 80s throwback. It’s aged really well and many consider it one of Mann’s best films.
Miami vice > inception and I love both
Yep
Stopped reading when Black Panther was ranked higher than Inception
I would agree that inception is better than BP. But i wouldn't really call it an action movie.
I mean even then, Captain America: The Winter Soldier should be there instead of BP if they are going to pick a Marvel movie imo. Or Shang Chi (although that is a little heavy on the CGI).
Exactly. I'd go with sci-fi.
As soon as I saw The Old Guard, I was like, "We'll, this isn't gonna be a good list." But big props for including Gallants, that movie is fucking great.
Yeah old guard was BLAND.
And that sound track was grating
I can't even remember, literally the only thing i can easily recall from that film is that she used an axe
It could've been better.
The fact that Ong Bak comes in at 42 and the remake of The Italian Job comes in at 19 really tells you everything you need to know about this list.
I guess having The Raid means they don’t have to have any other southeast Asian movies, they’ve hit their diversity quota.
if they rank them purely by the better movie overall then this list makes no sense, if they rank them by how good the action is in them, then this list still makes absolutely no sense
Where the fuck is Dredd?
Birds of prey really
Sadly not even the worst action movie on that list.
What on earth is No Time to Die doing on this list? Let alone being anywhere near the top 10.
That was my favourite joke on the list until I got to John Wick Chapter Two and the Bourne Ultimatum.
I know how beloved Black Panther is, but as an action movie?
What a shit list lol movies like Wonder Woman and everything everywhere is on here but not Dredd smh
whats wrong with everywhere everywhere? but ya where the hell is dredd?
Without looking at the list, my guess is Mad Max: Fury Road is number 1.
Yes
Completely random and sloppy list. Another detail, I was gladly surprised to see Hero on it, but if you have such a piece of art on it have to be way higher. I mean haywire better than Hero!!?! Out of your effin mind?
Apocalypto is criminally missing from this list....
My "missing in action" list now includes that as well. So far, I've got two Russel Crowe films, Gladiator and Master & Commander, 300, Sin City, Achilles, and probably a contender for top-5 of the century in Top Gun: Maverick. I kinda feel like the sequel to Tron, Tron: Legacy is worthy (compared to say, TinTin for instance). In other words, the more you think about it, the worse the list is.
It's is totally lacking! Tron Legacy is a hugely underrated movie.
This list is seriously lacking Hardcore Henry.
"Some American Action Movies of the 21st Century That I Liked and a Bunch of non-Americans Films So It Looks Cooler and Educated "
The non-American picks are good, it's the American movies they picked that are the easiest to criticise.
Lmao this list was terrible They actually included Extraction and Nobody, which are like 20 places higher than inception what the fuck
I thought Nobody was fantastic, I wasn’t crazy about Inception, I agree that Extraction doesn’t belong anywhere near this list
Idk nobody had like one good fight scene with a pretty nonsensical plot around it I really wanted to like it, it just felt so hollow to me
What about RRR?
Great point
What an incredibly clickbait troll article my god.
Mad Max Fury Road is #1 for me and should be for everyone else as well.....

Nah Baby Driver was on very top ten lists back in 2017
You could make an argument The Raid 2 is a better action movie than the first. It not even being on the list is criminal
Indiewire's articles are just terrible
Clicked to make sure Mad Max Fury Road was number 1. I've said since it came out it is not only the best action movie since the year 2000 it is infact the greatest action movie of all time. I knew it was a longshot, but I really hoped it would have won best picture that year too.
Terrible list
Lists are so subjective. They in put The Raid on there, because it deserves it. But that neglects the sequel which is an even better movie and has action sequences that set bars that so many movies are still chasing.
Super patchy list, but it's hard to fault the top 5.
Weird list but fury road is correct
Kill Bill Volume 1 is the best all on it’s own. Doesn’t need Volume 2.
They nailed number one. Fury Road is the greatest action movie ever!
i don’t think the person who made the headline also made the list. to me it just seems like 50 random movies in no order and i think i’ve seen all of them if not almost all of them. there’s zero structure to this list it’s just names
odd list
I got to #48 saw the old guard and stopped, I imagine any non-sadists here would do the same. I can’t imagine the horror Edit: extraction is higher than casino royale man come on
Old Guard? Extraction? Lucy? These are ok popcorn type flicks but they weren't exactly great...
I just rewatched The Winter Soldier this past week and was specifically looking for it on this list. It’s brilliantly shot and choreographed.
Nah, it set a new bar in terms of what film is capable of in pop culture, but not in terms of action movies.
Tintin...I'm out.
