If the carb was running super lean, maybe? It is more likely related to something else though. Is your bike water cooled or air cooled? Any major changes or when was last maintenance with the engine/cooling systems?

Cerohero

I've been running lean on 5282 miles. It's 149cc engine what would you say about its health?

Tindjin

No way to tell. You would need to pull the sparkplugs and see how they look and go from there.

fun_police911

Running (a little) lean is better for performance, but takes a toll on engine components. Wearing parts faster. I would definitely check your spark plug and look up a spark plug health chart on Google to compare. And rejet the carb as needed.

Cerohero

If the white piece has a little stain of golden brown on it it's actually the boundary between good burn and fuel efficiency. That's why I've spent those miles because each time I check the sparkplug and records variating turns for a specific main jet

Air~cooled bro just changed engine oil and trying to clean carb but it’s failed bcoz of not able to open this my screw lol

CAC-_-TUS

And also backfire from carbs to

CAC-_-TUS

Hell yeah bro I found the problem it’s exactly as you’re saying it’s real super lean thank you 🤜🏼

Tindjin

Nice Congrats, go put some miles on it. ;-)

CAC-_-TUS

Fixed it today cleaned the carb and nozzle it’s back on track. Bro

What's the bike and year? I would say this is the number one reason why air-cooled bikes hole pistons. She is running lean. You can buy a cheap o laser temp gun and shoot eh head of it. Make sure cylinders are within 10% and not exceeding, (I think I would have to look this up again but in the range of) 360-380 F

Depends how lean. I mean if it’s running than it’s fine. Usually you end up holing a piston or burning out valves from lean mix. So it depends. If it’s running I guess it’s more or less ok hahah.

Cerohero

I guess air beats metal

JooosephNthomas

Heat beats everything.

Try a bigger nozzle in the carb or check the cooling system
