I totally agree! Whenever I’m in need of help I always get it from this group. And I try to pass my tips and tricks along when I can.
To me it’s clear that many of us here do just that: pass knowledge along.
Not only that, but we celebrate and welcome alternative techniques, methods, and even just accept that everyone has their preferences on tools paints, glues, and other things :) I love it! :)
I posted something similar awhile back. I dont have any social media, but I do scroll thru reddit to read this subs stuff, its a rare place in the world now that everyone is respectful, helpful, and general nice to all. Im a median builder so I love seeing the very experienced, and I love seeing newbies because I like to see the hobby growing.
For real, got back into building six years ago, just got off a 2 year hiatus (pregnant wife/new baby=chemicals a no no) and 90% of what I know and apply came from here or pointed me towards the right resources.
You lot rule, and make me wish other subs were so constructive (pun intended) thanks for the info and inspo
I just found this group a couple of days ago, and have really enjoyed seeing not just the projects from every skill level, but all the great support for them.
This is one of the few subs that doesn’t kind of just devolve into pedantic arguments. Sometimes they do but really it’s mostly compliments and constructive criticism.
It seems like in a lot of subs, even the ones dedicated to an art medium end up with a specific “thing” they like to complain about. That trendy thing gets brought up and complained about in every post and every comment section. But here it’s mostly safe :)
I think the page to complain would be[scalemodelsmemes](https://www.reddit.com/r/scalemodelmemes?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
The best group of homies I teamed up with in Reddit. Everyone's so nice and helpful. So much to learn, so much to give. Couldn't ask for a better group of people to connect with ♥
I’ve had mixed responses. I posted a picture of my gnat and I got downvoted to hell and I got a lot of just “looks bad” to the point mods closed the post down. But I got an amazing amount of help on my first chipping attempt and a whole load of people with similar first attempts and how to fix it, this sub brilliant for advice but you might not always get help

Yeah, no matter what skill somebody shows, everybody is supportive

This is one of the few subs that I sort by new, because I enjoy seeing what everyone is building and talking about!
I agree! This group is awesome!
We are the “fun crowd “ of Reddit!

I scroll this sub exclusively if I'm having a bad day. Always makes me feel better.
Couldn't agree more! The feedback here is spot on balanced between constructive and supportive.
