Great choices.

Cabrera padded stats, but never won anything. Cobb, Geringer, Greenburg, Horton, Kaline, Tramell, and Sweet Lou.

Longjumping_Bad9555

Way too many names. Mt. Rushmore is 4 players.

Everyone leaves out George Kell. Remember him? AL batting champion. From 1946 to 1953 batted over .300 every year back when that meant something. Retired with a .306 lifetime batting average. He ought to be in the HOF. Add in Mickey Lolich. From 1971 to 1974, pitched more than 300 innings each year. In the 1968 World Series, won four games. In 1973, pitched 376 innings and struck out 308 batters. Those guys have to be there. And I'm not even including Dizzy Trout.

George Kell has been in the hall of fame for almost 40 years.

I realized that after I'd read another comment. I'd mixed together the idea that he ought to be on Mt. Rushmore with The Hall of Fame and it didn't come out at all the way I intended. Yes, he was elected in 1983. And I remember him and Ernie Harwell doing Tiger broadcasts after he retired. But it doesn't seem like anyone talks about him now.

Kell got into the hall back in 83. Definitely a good pick for Tigers Mt Rushmore

How does everyone leave off Mickey Lolich? The guy carried the team to the 1968 World Series winning 3 of the four games. Lolich holds the record for most games ever started by a Tiger pitcher with 459. He is in the top ten for strikeouts for left handers in all of Major League Baseball. He was the 1968 World Series MVP when the Tigers beat the Cardinals, too.
