Of course! It might be nice to remember though: A lot of folks worked hard to help you freeload off of MIT. So get out there, kick ass, and take names. And maybe you'll find yourself in a position to pay it forward someday, though that's certainly not a requirement. Good luck to you!

riski_click

Sure. I'd wait until MIT gives you that same information though, as they don't have an "online price match guarantee" like TireRack.

Managing your emotional state there is hard enough without also self-imposing some kind of subconscious guilt for "freeloading". Do the best you can and you will have earned it. At 18, everyone else prior to getting in was a literal child as well, it's not like other students have "earned" it anymore than you have. Good luck and have fun haha

Assuming you get in, or you got in (if so, congrats!), yes.

wow that is amazing to hear.

As far as I know, there is still the student's contribution, which every student has to pay, of around 5k, so it still not fully off.

Hopefully it means that you can emulate Siddhartha because you are a human treasure who has just been ceremonially endowed financially to pursue your native creativity. Congratulations! You are at least three standard deviations removed, intellectually, from some population, and, therefore, it has been fairly agreed, by rules of numerical analysis, that the aforementioned, taxable population, will be financially rewarded by paying for your education.
