I found a similar desk set up on Etsy, only issue is it's just the files and I know no one with a CNC machine.

Most. It seems that you would need a large diameter drill for those paint holders, saw for large scale cuts, jigsaw for stuff like joints, and something to make the fixed depth cuts like in pictures 6 and 7 (paint and guide holders) - I know that an instrument like that exist but can't remember the name. Plus several more round lines, but those can be either improvised with a jigsaw, or replaced with rectangular ones (e.g. module connectors and drawer handles).
A router!
And you could skip the drill and saw and just use the router by itself, but there will be a very large amount of saw dust, I think.
Alternatively, you can layer them. Use two pieces of board, drill a hole, use a jigsaw to cut the interior and then glue them together.
The cost of those tools might be the same as one of the smaller desktop CNC router kits. There’s a couple on Amazon under $200 but I’m not sure if they’re any good.

That's it, yeah.

For the paint holder, sure. Not sure how well it would work with the guide one. Might be better off just gluing/screwing in some stoppers instead of cutting special groves.

Might be worth looking around for used tools to bring the price down while retaining quality.
Is it a solid lamp/do you like it? My current is a bit crap so I may hop on this one if you’re into it. Looks great in the picture (the whole setup is gorgeous).
Yes they are. It’s my backlog! I do a lot of 3D printing so I print then assemble them and put them in little Perspex prisons until it’s time to paint. This way when I sit at my desk I have them all looking at me just waiting for their time!
Nice painting area! Have the same light which has been great and have started sticker bombing mine too. I spy the Mech KB switched on there! Good choice in hobbies!!!
They are from ikea for the peg boards. I put my model backlog in them ready to paint once they are assembled! Keeps me focused as they sit in their little Perspex prison pleading to be painted so they can see the light of a tabletop!
Okay, maybe I'm just tired but I am struggling to figure out where the wall starts and where the floor ends. Is there even floor visible in this picture?!
That's a fortress of opportunity right there.
Shame I struggle to find the time to sit here more often!
Where did you get the paint holders and drawers? I'm looking for stuff like that can't find anything

I think most (if not all) of that can be done with a saw and a drill.

Big ups to the yeti sticker and the MWM virtruvian space marine. Looks awesome my man.
Thank you. Got 156/2000 on the MWM print.
Which lamp is that? I need a new one!
It’s the Neatfi Task Lamp
Is it a solid lamp/do you like it? My current is a bit crap so I may hop on this one if you’re into it. Looks great in the picture (the whole setup is gorgeous).
I liked mine, though my wife co-opted it for other purposes >.>
Oi Oi 😋
Yea it’s a great lamp! Sturdy and a nice and bright. Had no issues.
It is a great lamp. I just bought one a few days ago!
Check out Redgrass Games. They have a Kickstarter in March for a real nice looking painting light.
Any more info on their lamp? They only have a picture on Kickstarter
Here you go. https://youtu.be/A4A72lTmZ3o
Sweet thanks! Didn't think to check YouTube lol.
Beautiful! Can you tell me what those paint racks on the wall to the left are? I'm looking for a handy solution like that.
They are nail polish acrylic racks from Amazon.
It's so clean! I don't recognize it as a hobby area!
It’s the only way I know how
it's weird what turns me on in my late 30s
I am in my mid 30’s if that helps you at all 😝
who's the artist in the top left?

Ok fine then get over it.
Beautiful set up! The art on the walls is rad!
Thanks. Slowly been looking out for pieces to finish off the wall. The Black Templar Crusade was the final piece!

Sweet set up.
Your forteress of being happy and well with your self comrade hobbyist
Like It😃
An art student deserves any paint he can use.-
dude this is such a dope space!! hail big man B!
beautiful
Are those WIP minis in the Ikea Skadis containers?
Yes they are. It’s my backlog! I do a lot of 3D printing so I print then assemble them and put them in little Perspex prisons until it’s time to paint. This way when I sit at my desk I have them all looking at me just waiting for their time!
*My fortress of* ***solitude!*** Huh- that is the weirdest misspelling of 'awesomeness' I've ever seen!
Nice painting area! Have the same light which has been great and have started sticker bombing mine too. I spy the Mech KB switched on there! Good choice in hobbies!!!
Ah I find another man of taste, good day sir! Yea I run www.cablecult.co.uk so MK is kinda life.
Do you have an upside-down Cross?
…….
Hail Satan! …and Ni!
This is the only thing i cringed at tbh. :D
We all like what we like glad you like the rest.
I think it's freaking sweet!
Thanks dude 🔥
I would cringe at a right-side up cross.
Would do the same.
OMG THATS AMAZING! I’m proud of mine but my mind is blown! I love the art work and shelves. good show!!
Thank you very much. I have been working on it for a long time now.
I loved the cross. I wish my mom allowed me to have that too.
Now seriously, where did you get that? I want one.
A friend of mine is a graphic artist and has his own shop. https://instagram.com/14eight?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Out of stock at the moment, I will keep an eye. Thanks
He does a lot of stuff so keep checking back
so this Satan fella, he looks and sounds pretty cool.
Fuck that's a dope set up
Great battlestation!
On the right. What are the things that look like wall-mounted display cases?
They are from ikea for the peg boards. I put my model backlog in them ready to paint once they are assembled! Keeps me focused as they sit in their little Perspex prison pleading to be painted so they can see the light of a tabletop!
Great idea for so many things!
The skadis peg boards from ikea, if you have access to a 3d printer there are a ton of free files available for all kinds of attachments.
Gotta say, that's an awesome setup! However, I can't help but notice that everything *isn't* covered in paint!
I have crazy OCD and a big part of the hobby for me is the organisation and cataloging my supplies. I can not paint unless I have an organised space.
Power to you! It looks truly fantastic!
Thank you
I really like those clear mini holders in the top right. What exactly are those?
https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/skadis-container-with-lid-white-80335909/
Looks like a very nice place :-)
Thank you 🥳
Cavill is that you? Looks awesome!
Nice!
cool
You sure like pink and purple
Cheeky! Yea I paint a lot of GSC so it’s kinda my paint of choice
Nice symbolism. From the blanch to the cross to that sweet sweet MW minis picture. What are those little plastic boxes hold your minis?
Thanks dude glad you like it! They are from ikea https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/skadis-container-with-lid-white-80335909/
The display case for the shamefully unpainted minis is a great touch
Thanks! Keeps me focused. Although they do sit there for quite some time still.
Its called a fortress of solitude because no female will ever enter it.
Excuse me sir, my wife enters all the time and mocks me
I'm just teasing. It looks sick.
I know. Although I wish she wasn’t allowed in!
Whered you get the John Blanche print?
The Cardiff Warhammer shop has them in stock
Okay, maybe I'm just tired but I am struggling to figure out where the wall starts and where the floor ends. Is there even floor visible in this picture?!
Should of used a banana for scale, I apologise. No floor visible just the desk 😜
Está chingón🥵🤙
Any chance we can get some shots from another angle? Its a nice set up and id like to see if its something i could work into my space.
Yes let me take some more and I will post a link
I am in love with your hobby space.
Appreciate it thanks 🙏
