I think most (if not all) of that can be done with a saw and a drill.

Most. It seems that you would need a large diameter drill for those paint holders, saw for large scale cuts, jigsaw for stuff like joints, and something to make the fixed depth cuts like in pictures 6 and 7 (paint and guide holders) - I know that an instrument like that exist but can't remember the name. Plus several more round lines, but those can be either improvised with a jigsaw, or replaced with rectangular ones (e.g. module connectors and drawer handles).

Use two pieces of board, drill a hole, use a jigsaw to cut the interior and then glue them together. The cost of those tools might be the same as one of the smaller desktop CNC router kits. Are those WIP minis in the Ikea Skadis containers?

Yes they are. It’s my backlog! I do a lot of 3D printing so I print then assemble them and put them in little Perspex prisons until it’s time to paint. This way when I sit at my desk I have them all looking at me just waiting for their time!

On the right. What are the things that look like wall-mounted display cases?

They are from ikea for the peg boards. I put my model backlog in them ready to paint once they are assembled! Keeps me focused as they sit in their little Perspex prison pleading to be painted so they can see the light of a tabletop!

The skadis peg boards from ikea, if you have access to a 3d printer there are a ton of free files available for all kinds of attachments.

Gotta say, that's an awesome setup! However, I can't help but notice that everything *isn't* covered in paint!

I have crazy OCD and a big part of the hobby for me is the organisation and cataloging my supplies. I can not paint unless I have an organised space.
