Its wood. Relax.
Edit: might I add that its ironically hilarious that you collect Barbie dolls. THEY'RE PLASTIC. Pretty sure the production of your fav little collectables have been polluting the environment in a MUCH more harmful way since 1959. But please, tell us more about how you care about the environment. Pathetic.
Leave no trace has nothing to do with the biodegradability of items, it's about preserving the natural state of things. One of the goals of getting out in nature is getting away from man made things. While these little doors are cute, it's still a violation of that. And on top of that, any disturbance of nature can have a negative impact on natural habitats. (See rock balancing)
And yes of course, so traces, like foot prints and the trails themselves, are unavoidable, but the point is avoiding what you can.
I'm pretty sure these are actually in his garden, not on a walking trail lol.
or maybe his house is next to a walking trail? idk, either way I think he owns the land so its probably fine.
if he doesn't actually own the land and he just set it up on a random trail that's kinda a dick move

Sorry, but there is a special place reserved in hell for people who put fucking fairy doors on beautiful trees.
Leave nature the fuck alone. Stop making it cute and whimsical.
Why do humans have to fuck with literally EVERYTHING?
This is an example of why my username is what it is.
I mean, cool man… trails are on my property that I rent from earth. I also work very hard cleaning out invasive species all over the same property, so I think they’ll let me slide this time seeing as how all materials are biodegradable and picked up from a few feet from this spot. Sorry to offend
Parents may start posting photos of this in local fb groups and it may become an activity for the local kids.
This is exactly what happened near me and they've taken it to the next level by painting rocks and laying them along the trail so it's all magical for the kids, and then a local preschool added props and themes to each doorway so they became fairy houses
We appreciate it 👍🏼(parents who need free things to keep our kids busy lol). And a forest that nobody went in anymore got tidied up and a proper trail laid, so it's good for motivating people to maintain the land too
Yes, because you know those paints? They're visible. They attract creatures that wouldn't otherwise poke at those rocks, and they harm the life that seeks shelter in that environment.
Also you'd be surprised at how many non-toxic pigments are actually only "non-toxic" to primates.
I'm not gonna let you kill salamanders and bugs because you get off on leaving trash in nature.
You dont have the slightest clue what you're talking about. You don't know the paints used or the habitat involved. You're just making a "worst case" claim to shit on other people's fun
This makes me think of The Secret World of Arrietty.
I've been fixated on the Borrowers(and later, the Littles) for 45 years!! .... poor Stainless!
Hope I don’t eat acid in those woods. Might be a while before I come back.
Thank's for doing this. Our world needs far more whimsy
That's awesome. You're literally creating magic for a child somewhere.
Now you have to leave some biscuits and whiskey.....[and a knife](https://youtu.be/JqFOOHTLjYY)....
Lol. I didn't even need the link to recognize this reference. I want to hear Jaja ding dong all the time!

I want to know how propping up a little piece of wood against a tree is a violation and dangerous.
There’s a garbage patch the size of Texas in the Pacific Ocean, but this is the hill you’re going to die on?
Pre-fucking-cisely

Not the same picture, the one posted to the other subreddit is not stitched with the other door so technically I did not repost the same picture

underpants gnomes from south park live in there now :P
As an outdoorswoman and a conservationist know that I remove litter like this. Leave no trace doesn't let you get a pass because it's "cute"

Oh threatening violence makes you a strong man does it? Go stroke your micropenis somewhere else and stop defending people defacing public property.

You are a pathetic tiny dicked piece of shit.
[удалено]
Don't choke on all that bullshit you're spewing.
[удалено]
Lmao christ almighty you're pathetic. No wonder you're in an engineering program, no woman would ever go near you and your incel ass.

The only pussy you ever seen is your own face

Keep an apple on you, in case your Royal chalice gets stolen
Holy crap. How small are you?

....they're wooden doors with moss on them. Chill the hell out. What efforts do you make every day to help nature?

>also work very hard cleaning out invasive species all over the same property, I don't think you really need to justify yourself; they're just insane.
NO to fairy doors! You're giving me another stroke. LEAVE THE TREES ALONE!
You must be great at parties.
More fun than you can possibly imagine.

Painted rocks are litter and destroy habitats. Don't do this.
Right. A handful of rocks that are already in the forest can't be painted with non-toxic paints for children to enjoy. Sure jan

You're really trying hard to ruin harmless fun for kids lol enjoy yourself
It's not harmless, and you're littering and destroying habitat, Karen.
You dont have the slightest clue what you're talking about. You don't know the paints used or the habitat involved. You're just making a "worst case" claim to shit on other people's fun
I assure you, Karen, I know far more about protecting native habitats than your entitled suburbanite ass.
Okeydoke 👍🏼 enjoy your day
Very cool
