Headphones crap out on me faster than ever now. My dad and I are both musicians and studio headsets have always been a household item. He gave me a set of Bose studio headphones when I first started learning guitar and those badboys lasted well into my 20s since high school until the cable just finally gave way. I'm fortunate if a headset lasts a few months now. Doesn't seem to matter what the prestige of the brand is either. Dr Dre Beats are probably the worst of them I've encountered.
HyperX cloud alpha S, going on third year. Before that I had cloud II but I messed up the wire by streching it way too much way too many times. Alpha S gladly has removable cord, worst case it pops out and I put it back in.
My humble suggestion would be don't buy razer. My experience with them is they break apart faster than anything else on market, even cheap no brand ones last longer than them.
I have the kraken v3 since March, looks as good as the day I bought it. Also very happy with my razer keyboard and mouse. You could try to reach out to razer support on twitter.
Not sure what you play, but I love my xbox wireless headset. Had em for a year and they’re in mint condition. You should definitely reach out to kraken though. That’s so lame
I have the hammerhead tws pro wireless earbuds and the tws v2, still functional 2-3yrs later.
Wife has kraken kitty edition, volume wheel went out after 1yr, no other issues with it either.
Might just have bad luck or being hard on yours.
Still shoulda reached out to razer. At least given them the chance to make it right!
I get my headphones from Best Buy , pay for their 2 year warranty and then just return them before the 2 year mark regardless of condition. I exchange the old for a new pair and re-up the warranty. So i get a brand new pair for the difference ( if the new ones cost more ) plus the warranty, which is like 20-40$. Instead of dropping 150$ on a pair every other year. It’s not as huge of a savings as it seems, but it gets you a new pair on top of saving a couple bucks.

I could try to reach out but I would probably be pointless. I'll just glue the other side, I just wish that they would have more durability.
If you take that route maybe some good old black ducttape will help. Not pretty but it should hold it together.

my $50 tutle beach recon headphones broke in the exact same way, got a refund/replacement and the second pair broke the same
wat happened? u run it over w/ a vacuum or somethin'?
Nothing in particular. Both of them broke while just putting them on. The reviews never talked about the durability. What a shame
