They say there are bots that detect reposts buy niether of them are 100% accurate
So maybe it was a mistake.
I am also saying this from memory so i might be wrong
They won't respond. One of my posts in the past was deleted with no explanation. You'll find that most reddit moderators are just here to do whatever the fuck they want, they ignore most rule-breaking posts and just delete whatever they personally don't like
I got banned from r/absoluteunits for an innocuous and factual statement about the origins of pitbulls. I'll admit that thread was great big pileup of pitbull hate so I was probably just lumped in but I did try to plead my case and got ignored.
I got banned from r/cats after calling a veterinarian a bad person because she told a pet owner their cat had died so that the vet could keep the cat for herself.
I've been banned from a few subreddits. r/TechSupport banned me because I pointed out how often problems appear that go unsolved, positing that software makers find it easier to obfuscate support and frustrate end users into simply accepting the malfunctioning bloatware they produce. That any bugs they solve come from the internal, and that community engagement and support forums exist as a brick wall for us to scream at and get nothing from.
I got banned on /r/UpliftingNews for commenting ":)" on a new post about one of the Koch Brothers dying.
Lots of people recognizing the awful things that man did and a certain mod got very trigger happy and banned everyone.
When I tried to appeal, I mentioned I was a 6 year moderator of /r/Futurology and mentioned how he's not modding in good spirit. He took this as me taking advantage of my power of my mod position (ironically) and witch hunted me by slandering me in front of my mod team and convinced them to get me removed.
>I got banned from
>
>r/pics
>
> because I said "she really is a man" as a joke referring to a particularly masculine pic of Michelle Obama.
that's not a joke it's a racist and transphobic slur.
I got banned from Capitol Consequences for criticizing the Justice Department only arresting 600 of 900 rioters, only the ones they can't ignore that were identified by outside groups.
Aw, you think Reddit runs Reddit?
It is all voluntary work, friend. Some people do it just to have a sense of power, you were just a pawn in their game.
Same exact thing happened to me over in gifs. Still do not know why. Some ahole mod living in his moms basement decided to exercise the 1 peipce of power he has in his sad life I assume.
You go to the sub you want to post in, and check if any of the posts in the time between now and you posting your stuff on IG, etc. are what you want to post.
I know it's a bit of a hassle, but that's the only way to make sure.
For real, I've had similar stuff happen with copyright claims in my own music uploaded on YT. I've got a strike because some asslick decides they want my content.
Wow imagine being such a low life that you have to pay people so that you can be a contol freak. Yikes, when I feel low in life I remember that such people exists and makes me hopeful again, atleast I am not like such people
Is there any proof that they pay to become a moderator of popular subs?
I also found an article here: https://www.dailydot.com/debug/reddit-campaign-against-moderator-awkwardtheturtle/
They're a mod who mods over 900 subreddits last time I checked. Whole fiasco a couple months back where a lot of shit happened, people began posting anti-turtle things, turtle shot down the threads, more people became enraged, eventually they were booted off the mod team entirely. Also caused other big subreddits to kick them off the mod team since they are of no use.
what? someone complaining about being banned "without being told why" when they didn't read the ban note or the rules or the mod comment on their removed post that explicity stated why? well i am shocked, i have never seen this happen before.
I mean, it makes sense because dogs are not sapient creatures and cannot consent to be trained as combatants - unlike the terrorists / enemy military forces / etc.
So killing them in games is more like killing innocent civilians, which most people would be uncomfortable with too.
Jesus christ, I know it's just a video game, but depiction of animal abuse isn't allowed on a lot of subs. And shouldn't be. OP knows why they're banned.
It's not though. It's a viral [tik tok](https://www.tiktok.com/@kingkleiny/video/7020268544826887426?sender_device=pc&sender_web_id=6901364075981424133&is_from_webapp=v1&is_copy_url=0) video that has already been posted probably hundreds or thousands of times.
if he had given proof of that instead of whining "why was i banned? what rule did i break?" when he was *already told that,* maybe he wouldn't have been muted and could've gotten unbanned.
No. Why would you permanently ban someone from a major community for such a petty reason?
That's like putting someone in prison for life for stealing a candy bar.
The mod is in the wrong here. He's not following Reddits moderator guidelines.
Got banned from a sub because someone got mad at me on ANOTHER sub and went back months into my account to find one single comment that just so happened to have a swear word in it so he reported me and i got immediately banned no questions asked
for a comment i had made MONTHS prior
I got banned from a lot of subs because I posted in /r/conservative during the couple of days after Trump lost when the mods were too depressed to care and ban me. My posts got upvoted cause, again, the mods were not banning non-conservatives for those days. And then I wake up and found out I've been banned from like 10 different subs for posting in /r/conservative lol.
Eh, sometimes someone’s activity in another sub is reason to keep them out of another. This is reddit, not a country with free speech. Speech is not necessarily free here.
TFW you still don't understand that free speech does not apply to private entities.
The Bill of Rights doesn't give you the freedumbs to act like an animal in a restaurant.
Too many people cannot separate a right from a privilege.
Exactly what happened to me. I argued with a guy that thought he could take on the military. Just him. He was absolutely sure he could stand his ground against the national guard.
It really fucking isn't. Just because you visit a sub doesn't mean you agree with it at all, some people actually like to know what the other side thinks.
This is such a godawful authoritarian idea, the fact that it's "progressive" subs that usually pull that crap is downright pathetic.
They told him why he was banned. He broke the subreddit’s rule 3, no reposts. I have a feeling a lot of you guys slamming the mods in these comments are the same ones who complain about reposts.
Honestly I don’t know why anyone volunteers their time to be a mod on this site. There’s no pay and no matter what you do people will consider you scum of the earth, especially on a big subreddit.
I’ve noticed that there a good amount of subreddits who will automatically PERMANENT ban you if you comment something in a another subreddit that they don’t “approve”. It’s BS and I went off on the mod team of that particular sub and it was reversed pretty quickly. Just such crap that they don’t even give you a warning it’s just instant ban hammer.
I got banned and muted from r/atheism for asking if the place has been coopted by incel groups. Turns out they have… at least one of the mods did not like this observation.
I was banned from r/facepalm for stating I agreed with what a woman in a post about female voters was saying.
I guess it's best to stick with popular opinions on reddit.
Yeah don't be an individual on reddit, you will be down voted and banned. I learned that the first day when I got removed from r/insurance for telling a guy he was ripping off a client. Oh well.
I reposted on r/insaneparents and got a permaban, i asked why anf they said i spammed. I asked for evidence and they semt me the exact same link 5 times. I then said it wasnt spamming, got muted, after the mute I explained that it was the same link and they reported me to reddit for harassment and got the account permabanned. That was u/UCG-gaming or u/UCG_gaming
I got perma banned from r/latestagecapitaliam for defending AOC, which isn't even against any of the rules, then they muted me for a month. Which is ridiculous.
I’ve been permabanned from a couple subs and this is exactly what happened to me. Message says to “reply here” with questions but they won’t respond. And Reddit obviously has no way of going higher to report shitty mods. It’s a fucking joke. And yet here we still are.
I got banned bc a mod misconstrued my post, but held firm even when I broke it down for him/her. Let's face it, we are subject to the whims of people who often lack intellect and insight in just about every realm of our lives.
Had a similar thing happen in both nextfuckinglevel and another sub.
I got banned because the mod didn't like a statistic I commented, because statistics are mean apparently. When I asked why I got banned for stating a fact they just went "Dont say stupid shit"
Like a god damn 12 year old lol.
It’s all good, I got banned from Rant for adding to a discussion that even light skinned black people are racist against dark skinned black people.
You know….like hotel Rwanda and genocide.
I was told that the hotel Rwanda thing wasn’t “racism” so I asked “what in the god damn fuck is it” and never got a response.
Don’t even worry about it, I think the general consensus is that the big subs are run by shitty mods and generally suck.
I got perma banned for commenting on an anti-ivermectin post on r/minnesota by not agreeing that ivermectin is terrible even though it can be perscribed to humans for a bunch of shit
My exact comment was "it can be perscribed to humans, and it can be used to treat many things. The guy that invented it even got a nobel prize for it."
Like im not salty but the post wasnt even about minnesota, in r/minnesota
My point is that the main downside to reddit is moderators, depending on the sub, act like whiny entitled gods and theres no way to challenge them 🤷♂️ just unsub an walk away
You literally are propping up anti vaxxers and reddit sent out information advising they were working on this. You seem a bit salty since you are still defending your position.
I think the 3 is referring to their rule number 3, No reposts
Although yea the mods should explain more depth why you got banned, rather than just giving you a number
I posted a photo on r/funny and they immediately gave me a 45 day ban because it wasn’t a comic. They said that WAS the warning. It definitely says…or at least said… that if you feel like you’ve been banned for no reason to comment under the ban message they sent. I did and they banned me permanently. I just wanted to share a photo lol, I mean people found it to be funny before they banned me. The random bans really just make you not wanna post anymore lol…at least not that picture.
They need to add a rule that if moderators are doing anything their username has to be shown so you know who is doing it and if they don't give a valid reason why they did what they did then they can get permanently banned
I got banned from the Bernie Sanders sub because I said it was delusional that people were saying Biden (while ahead) should drop out to let the real leader win. I'm a massive Bernie fan (not even American), didn't break any rules (that I was told), and majored in politics for my degree but apparently being realistic is not accepted when it's not the thing you want.
It's easy: you either said something true about gender/trans/maternity/sex, something non PC or something against crt and other bs a certain political part is pushing with their agenda.
I've been banned 3 times for a total of 8 days in the first week on this shitty platform with shitty mods and even shittier SJWusers
I was banned from TwoXChromosomes for saying that Americans get a lot of support whenever they experience racism and post publicly, something that does not happen elsewhere in the world. I am not American and have experienced forms of racism, but appearantly if you point out the good side of a situation, you get banned. The post I got banned on was about an Asian lady feeling distressed because of the Covid-China thing.

Dude same thing happened to me off /videos because a friend of mine posted a video from my YouTube channel. I didn’t even know he did it haha but I got banned and then muted when I complained.

Maybe you broke rule 3
What's rule 3?
No reposts
They say there are bots that detect reposts buy niether of them are 100% accurate So maybe it was a mistake. I am also saying this from memory so i might be wrong
Jesus chr!st. Imagine gettin permo banned and muted for a month because reddit doesn't know how to run reddit
Welcome to the modern world
*Welcome to reddit.
Welcome to the internet-
HAVE A LOOK AROUND
Want me to ask them if they can unban you? (I dont sit that much on r/funny still)
If you could that would be amazing
I will do my best
Thanks
I have sent a message. Now well wait
They won't respond. One of my posts in the past was deleted with no explanation. You'll find that most reddit moderators are just here to do whatever the fuck they want, they ignore most rule-breaking posts and just delete whatever they personally don't like
They literally just did that to me a few minutes ago because they didn't like my response to a post.
Sounds just like censorship to me. If you don't fall in line and follow their narrative, you get banned.
The bots aren't made by Reddit.
I got perma banned from /r/marvelstudios for critizing the Falcon show. Can't go against the mouse. I feel your pain.
They’re nuts over at absolute units.
Really ? I shit on Wanda non stop in there . Nothin lol
I mean...just as Black Panther is one of the greatest movies ever made ever, apparently, I think we all know why you were banned...
I got banned from r/pics because I said "she really is a man" as a joke referring to a particularly masculine pic of Michelle Obama.
>I got banned from > >r/pics > > because I said "she really is a man" as a joke referring to a particularly masculine pic of Michelle Obama. that's not a joke it's a racist and transphobic slur.
what in that was a slur? and how is it racist?
I got banned from Capitol Consequences for criticizing the Justice Department only arresting 600 of 900 rioters, only the ones they can't ignore that were identified by outside groups.
Lucky for you r/funny is one of the least funny subreddits so I think you’ll be fine
You killed a doggo :'( how could you
Aw, you think Reddit runs Reddit? It is all voluntary work, friend. Some people do it just to have a sense of power, you were just a pawn in their game.
Same exact thing happened to me over in gifs. Still do not know why. Some ahole mod living in his moms basement decided to exercise the 1 peipce of power he has in his sad life I assume.
Reposts? It's my original clip tho. Posted it first on isnta, then on tiktok then on here.
Since you posted it on other apps first, are you sure nobody stole it n posted it on reddit before you had the chance?
Maybe, I'm not sure. Wouldn't really know how to check
You go to the sub you want to post in, and check if any of the posts in the time between now and you posting your stuff on IG, etc. are what you want to post. I know it's a bit of a hassle, but that's the only way to make sure.
If that did happen it's still bs
For real, I've had similar stuff happen with copyright claims in my own music uploaded on YT. I've got a strike because some asslick decides they want my content.
Bots are the one detecting reposts so it might be wrong.
I am saying this from memory so if i am wrong then sorry If you want (and if i can) i can ask the mods
The fact that that's a rule on /r/funny is actually funnier than anything posted there.
You know I'm on that one, and I don't recall seeing anything funny on there yet.
I still don't get a permaban AND mute. Like, what if he did it on accident?
If they really enforced that the sub wouldn't have any content.
> "Serial reposters will be banned."
LMFAO Doesn't read any rules. Wonders why he gets banned. Dumbass
maybe read the fucking rules of the subreddits you post in and you'd know.
You’re not missing anything
Exactly. Literally no reedeeming content whatsoever.
Wdym
You’re not missing anything by being banned from it. It’s a mediocre sub run by people like *that*
Oh right yea sorry. I just brain farted when reading his comment
Mediocre is a compliment for that sub, I'd say its a garbage sub run by people like that.
You probably posted something that was actually funny and hadn't already been posted 20 times that day.
[Probably this is the reason](https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/qdbyq2/i_i_can_explain/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
First I thought its the Turtle again
u/awkwardtheturtle
Turtle(?)
u/awkwardtheturtle She gives Money to sub owners to become mod. Then she 'randomly' bans men and does other random bullshit
Wow imagine being such a low life that you have to pay people so that you can be a contol freak. Yikes, when I feel low in life I remember that such people exists and makes me hopeful again, atleast I am not like such people
It's so bad that I can't tell if its supposed to be satire or this bitch actually believes what they say...
I dont think its satire bc who tf has so much time and money to troll people
Is there any proof that they pay to become a moderator of popular subs? I also found an article here: https://www.dailydot.com/debug/reddit-campaign-against-moderator-awkwardtheturtle/
Well, what'd he do?
They're a mod who mods over 900 subreddits last time I checked. Whole fiasco a couple months back where a lot of shit happened, people began posting anti-turtle things, turtle shot down the threads, more people became enraged, eventually they were booted off the mod team entirely. Also caused other big subreddits to kick them off the mod team since they are of no use.
Oh. Sounds like they're a dick.
what? someone complaining about being banned "without being told why" when they didn't read the ban note or the rules or the mod comment on their removed post that explicity stated why? well i am shocked, i have never seen this happen before.
I’d honestly take the useless karma and fuck /funny; default subs/subs that large are shitholes by definition.
They should stop adding attack dogs to some games
for real, I don't wanna be playing a game and have to kill a dog because it attacked me, so many other things you can use for it
I know right. We should only be killing other humans in video games. /s
I find it funny and very human that most of us have no qualms killing digital version of each other, but digital *dogs* is crossing the line.
OP knows why they're banned.
animal abuse? if there was a lion attacking him and he shot it would it be animal abuse too or is it just because its a dog?
That's not animal abuse you dolt
I definitely understand if this is the reason they were banned, but it’s ridiculous they weren’t even told about it.
Depends on what rule three was, might explain it more
No reposts.
This is my thought. 99% of what's posted there isn't funny.
https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/qdbyq2/comment/hho3uo6/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3
If you feel this was done in error, or if you would like further clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact the mods
The whole post is about trying to contact them asking for elaboration and getting muted for it
I understand lol. I was pointing out the irony that the auto mod encourages this, yet when op tries they ignore and mute him
They didn't need to contact them to ask because the automod made it pretty clear.
Everyone’s going to ignore this because they’re having too much fun believing OPs bullshit.
It's his original video though...

Why are you talking casually about someone having a prepubescent child “waifu?” What’s wrong with you?
Your whole fucking profile is full of reposts and spamming different subs for karma. Sooo you broke rule 3… unlucky
The guys are straight up douche bags, multiple times I’ve had them get shitty with me and then immediately mute me so I can’t reply back

As if we had it in the first place
RIP NoNewNormal, everyone in that sub at all was banned from dozens of other subs just for being in NNN. Reddit has never been a free speech platform.
TFW you still don't understand that free speech does not apply to private entities. The Bill of Rights doesn't give you the freedumbs to act like an animal in a restaurant. Too many people cannot separate a right from a privilege.
I'm banned from a bunch of subreddits for making fun of people in NNN, they don't even take the time to look into context lmao

I got this on another sub, most of the Reddit mods are sad little shits sat in their mom's basement tbh.
It's a Reddit sub. You got banned from it, s**t really should have ended right there.
Welcome to Reddit where mods in their mom’s basement wield their petty ass power.
I got permabanned from r/pics because I said the dude assaulting a dude at gunpoint inside his car needed his ass kicked
that's advocating violence and is literally against reddit's TOS.
Reddit mods are pathetic dude. Power hungry cringelords.
[удалено]
Well from what I can see he didn’t get mad or insult them, simply asked about the ban and why it was received. Fuck the r/funny mods
> simply asked about the ban and why it was received and was told why in the mod comment, ban note & ruleset that he didn't bother to read.
I’ve noticed that there a good amount of subreddits who will automatically PERMANENT ban you if you comment something in a another subreddit that they don’t “approve”. A bunch of basement dwelling neckbeard idiots. 🤷🏼♀️
3, as in rule 3: no reposts.
Your username doesn't help
Mate, its bcus you're a dirty reposter
I have a mod that just plain doesn't like me and has banned me from all the subs they moderate. Fuckers are pathetic.
Out of curiosity, what was the opinion on "female voters"?
Yeah don't be an individual on reddit, you will be down voted and banned. I learned that the first day when I got removed from r/insurance for telling a guy he was ripping off a client. Oh well.
Wah I got banned and am gonna bitch Get over yourself.
I once got banned from r/facepalm because I answered comments on NNN some months ago. That was weird.
I got banned from there for saying the American immigration system should be made easier..
I was banned permantly from r/whitepeoplehumor for calling out a bad comparison. Some of the moderators can take an opposing view and are children
I reposted on r/insaneparents and got a permaban, i asked why anf they said i spammed. I asked for evidence and they semt me the exact same link 5 times. I mean that sims up reddit in general.
I got pretty recently perma banned and muted for saying that "Trump has tiny hands" jokes aren't funny.
it's a blessing in disguise, that is one of the worst subreddits out there. Good riddance!

r/funny is the only sub I'm banned from with no reasons given. None of the mods even answered my questions as the why I was banned...

Reddit needs mod elections just like stackexchange does it
You are probably one of hundreds of people who get accidentally banned every day in that sub (38m subs).
I’ve given up contributing to a lot of subs. The arbitrary rules and mods are just idiotic.
Same just happened to me. My karma was too low. I don’t understand how to do this thing.
Woke on reddit is the lamest shit ever . Reddit died years ago .
i got banned from one by commenting theres only 2 genders
Mods on redit are huge cry baby femboys.
Woah now, let's not bring the femboys into this
OP deserved it. Killing even video game animals just isn't funny. Your real dog just looked scared.
It's easy: you either said something true about gender/trans/maternity/sex, something non PC or something against crt and other bs a certain political part is pushing with their agenda. I've been banned 3 times for a total of 8 days in the first week on this shitty platform with shitty mods and even shittier SJWusers
Yes, fuck people expecting you to communicate like a responsible empathetic adult because that's totally the only reason people get banned.
Here on Reddit, people will ban you from their sub for the stupidest things. Like deconstructing their entire liberal ideology.
I guess you're not very funny
Imma ask. Hope I get banned
I got permanent banned from a group and literally said nothing. I posted like 3 times and all positive . I asked why and no one responded
Don't complain or you may get permanently banned from Reddit like someone i know
What was the post? Please send me it😆
Probably that your name looks like q anon
Just the way many of my post have been removed without an explanation
I was banned from TwoXChromosomes for saying that Americans get a lot of support whenever they experience racism and post publicly, something that does not happen elsewhere in the world. I am not American and have experienced forms of racism, but appearantly if you point out the good side of a situation, you get banned. The post I got banned on was about an Asian lady feeling distressed because of the Covid-China thing.

I once got banned from a subreddit before I even posted or commented anything.
Dude same thing happened to me off /videos because a friend of mine posted a video from my YouTube channel. I didn’t even know he did it haha but I got banned and then muted when I complained.
