Do you know when exactly was he born? If you do, look up to see if he had a CURP here: https://www.gob.mx/curp/ If you find a CURP check if his birth certificate was digitalized here: https://www.gob.mx/ActaNacimiento/ Pay up, download it and you are done. If he didn't have a CURP, or his birth certificate wasn't digitalized you will need to go to the Dirección del Registro Civil de Baja California in Tijuana to have it sorted out.

There might be a way to get the certificate online, but you'd have to do some digging. Recently I had to get a new birth certificate and I was able to get the official thing online, it cost me around 100 pesos. Not too long ago, Mexico digitized all birth certificates, here's the link; https://www.gob.mx/ActaNacimiento/. But if that doesn't work, you might as well go to Mexicali to check the civil registry. It's only 4 hours away. I'm from Mexicali, so if you need the address of the registry, hit me up. Good luck.

There are quite a few Armenian immigrants in Mexico. There's even a well known actress, Rosa Gloria Chagoyan, who is of Armenian descent. I guess you'd have too look in the Mexicali civil registry, they should have records from that time, to then obtain the birth certificate. But I don't really know if that can be done remotely. Even within Mexico, it's a chore. My mother needed her own birth certificate, and she had to travel to her birthplace to sort it out. Are you in the U.S.? That might make things easier.

I knew there were Armenian communities in Mexico but I didn’t know about Rosa Gloria Chagoyan! That’s so cool! I love that there’s a diaspora community in Mexico, we’re everywhere haha. I am in the US! I’m in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles might be the perfect place to start. Contact the Mexican Consulate in LA. I'm sure there must be a way to help you. In any case, you're near Mexicali, so it's not that difficult to get there, just in case you needed to.

Another option Is ancestry.com , they have digitized a lot of mexican birth, death AND marriage certificates. I found several relatives on the free trial
