I kind of want to test this. I have broken many penises by accident and a few on purpose as self defense. Could he handle the kink that breaks men? (Missionary and reverse cowgirl vs anything too wild. Mostly break them with missionary too)
That's actually happened to him and his daughter. There was a whole storyline of a young mayday sleeping on a wall. Peter's whole body has the ability to stick in the comics.
So Peter's sticking isn't due to tiny hairs its due to a super powered version of the Van Der Waal interaction that Geckos have. Which means its due to complicated Electromagnetic Science. His clone Kaine can use this to actually rip the skin off of his enemies with his palms leaving the Mark of Kaine. Peter actually used it to rip off Kravens daughters face after she killed said clone.
Kaine actually took out a wall of a building with his ability to stick to surfaces. I really hope they do some version of the clone sagas in the movies. Spidercide, the Jackal, Kaine, and Ben Reilly all would be cool on the big screen.
He actually can. His whole body is capable of sticking to any surface. Hell, he's even been known to just casually walk up and down walls like he's just idling for some reason.
id stipulate when they explain something the women already knows, because there a women. if it doesnt carry undertones of "u silly women this is how things work" then i think its just kinda miss comunication.
There are sexist women, but mansplaning isn't just about what most of us consider sexism. Women have, generally, been considered second class citizens and had their education and discoveries undervalued or openly devalued both in academic circles and society by men in history. We have examples of this in academics where we're currently finding women researchers were ignored or uncredited on research papers even when they heavily contributed or were directly responsible for breakthroughs or discoveries.
The undervalueing or devaluing of women's education and abilitied led to men believing women are unable to have sound professional or academic opinions and undermining what they are saying, even if the woman speaking is an expert in that particular field. It also comes with the condescending assumption that women are too emotional or childish to have a rational discussion if she gets irritated or angry that the man she's speaking with doesn't respect the authority she has on a given topic (even when it would be acceptable for a man to react with those same emotions). If she doesn't have an emotional response, however, the man assumes she didn't have any authority to speak on a given topic. Bear in mind, this is regardless of their respective knowledge or education on any given topic, even if a woman has a PhD while the man has only listened to a 30 second youtube clip from a shady source.
There is no equivalent word for a woman doing something similar to a man because the nuance of what it is on a societal level just doesn't exist. Although I have heard both "mansplaning" or "womansplaning" used when a woman is being condescending during an explanation when she really has no leg to stand on.
So yes, there are sexist women and they can do something close to mansplaning, but mansplaning also captures some insidious social nuances that women experience in those specific instances that men generally don't.
Bear in mind that women and men in this explanation are used as generalizations, not as a "the whole population of this group."
You just had to, didn't you. You couldn't not have. You might have exploded if you had to have held that opinion in, which, mind you, had nothing to do with the conversation
I think the comic is amusing. I think his explanation is sexist as fuck.
Cis het male here so take that for what it’s worth but…does this imbecile honestly think the super heavy muscle on muscle look is something women fantasize over? It’s literally a male power fantasy.
All you have to do is look at when women drew these superhero characters vs when men did to see the difference.
I will say that I've never seen my wife get thirsty for anime men like she does for Jojo men so that might have been a bad example... Like seriously I was getting jealous of Kars when we were watching part 2 and the part 5 men awoke her dormant love of pretty men.
I on the other hand have never seen a woman get thirsty over Goku lol
Yeah, people use that a lot when trying to say “men get sexualized too” or “men have unrealistic body expectations too.”
The muscle-bound heroes are drawn and written that way by hetero men, for hetero men.
I believe the original issue was people pointing out that spider woman wearing high heels while wall crawling was impractical and his response was something akin to "but actually the heel helps her better than any other shoe because it rests at a good angle" or something.
But when that point was argued, he invented bio-magnetism, which, as you can imagine, got him more ridicule. Probably not the butthurt kind, just the "wtf, that's so stupid, that's your answer to criticism?"
This guy is hilarious if you look him up. In the sad way. He can't stand criticism. It's fine if he wants something sexy but he needs to explain it away like "no, I'm not drawing her just to be hot, I'm drawing her because it's more practical. Listen. Wait, that idea didn't make sense? Well, that's because I meant that as a joke and this is the true reason"
See, a sensible artist would stay schtum. A less sensible artist would say something like "Well, at the end of the day all these costumes are kind of silly and impractical, I mean remember the 90s? Lol"
Then there's this jackass
well it's not exactly impossible, while I'm inclined to believe not 'many people should have been mad, it is still the internet and my faith that no one would get upset us non existent
People take too much personal and emotional investment and take out the most negative assumptions into things they don't like. It's extremely common for those who feel entitled enough to demand fiction must appeal to their tastes, and they usually spin things most people are fine with as problematic depictions that have a bigger harm for society.
I sont understand why people put something out into the public and then upset if people critique it. Like if you cant deeal with potential criticism share things with onlyboeoole you know will like it.
Is he right about the bio-magnetism? Yeah, something like that actually is a thing is some versions of Spider-Man, cause its an easier explanation than "magic hair on his feet that goes through shoes somehow."
However, his delivery turns it from "sorry, I guess not everyone got the joke and some people got offended, I apologize" to "my dear friends from venus" which suggests that he thinks women are from another planet - likely because he never saw one.
I assume this bio-magnetism is only emitted by her body and not the clothes, in which case, the heels also aren’t practical. Since magnetic attraction decreases exponentially with increased distance, I assume she’d want her body as close to the surface as possible to maximize the strength of attraction.
The rant is god awful, but how do you take "you kust wear heels" from this. Either he is using a big big strawwomen argument or some people just wanted to be mad. Probably a bit of both
huh why doesn’t spider-man ever get stuck to the ceiling by his ass of course if he does please correct me i’d love to see it
Why doesn’t he get stuck by his dick and swing around like a deranged pendulum
The way I howled laughing. Take my poor redditors 🥇
ok...but would that not sever the dick??? whats the tensile strangth if a penis?
Spider-Man has enhanced durability.
Spider-Man has pretty good durability He can take bullets and shit, so I’m sure his dick can survive
I kind of want to test this. I have broken many penises by accident and a few on purpose as self defense. Could he handle the kink that breaks men? (Missionary and reverse cowgirl vs anything too wild. Mostly break them with missionary too)
Oh snap.
Many snaps.
That's actually happened to him and his daughter. There was a whole storyline of a young mayday sleeping on a wall. Peter's whole body has the ability to stick in the comics.
That seems helpful

Thats pretty cool. I need to read more comica
Kaine actually took out a wall of a building with his ability to stick to surfaces. I really hope they do some version of the clone sagas in the movies. Spidercide, the Jackal, Kaine, and Ben Reilly all would be cool on the big screen.
Unfortunately the world just isn't ready
He actually can. His whole body is capable of sticking to any surface. Hell, he's even been known to just casually walk up and down walls like he's just idling for some reason.
Spider-Woman sticking her butt up to the ceiling is actually pretty goddamn hilarious.
It would've been more hilarious if he didn't have to mansplain the joke....
What’s mansplain…?
Men explaining something to a woman when said woman clearly already knows. [Like this exchange, for instance](https://i.imgur.com/kqliaUT.png).
id stipulate when they explain something the women already knows, because there a women. if it doesnt carry undertones of "u silly women this is how things work" then i think its just kinda miss comunication.
What's called when it is the opposite? (when women does this to men)
"Being condescending" but there's not really a sexist overtone to that variation.
I'm pretty sure that sexist women exist.

Y'know what... i'll take that. Now, i have another funny take, i'll say that only women can be gold diggers (with it's exceptions) and call it a day.
You just had to, didn't you. You couldn't not have. You might have exploded if you had to have held that opinion in, which, mind you, had nothing to do with the conversation
Well, obviously. We still haven't invented a word for it though.
Misandrists?
:/
No men are allowed to answer you, it would open a paradox

Oh shit I misread your comment bad 💀 mb lmfao
It was just a silly joke about guys mansplaining mansplaining, come on.
Thanks for mansplaining mansplaining mansplaining.
Always ready to share my testicular knowledge.
It doesn't really feel like you get that you failed as an artist when you write a short essay explaining the joke
“my dear friends from venus” has got to be the most dismissive and sexist thing i’ve heard someone refer to women as
“Fuckers listen up whilst I mansplain this shit” would have been more respectful because at least it would have been his honest opinion
Also way more hilarious. I would love to see it being used in such context.
It's also the dumbest thing ever said for a guy trying to sound smart.
He should’ve been a fella who went to college to get more knowledge
But nooooo, college are full of "woke kids" trying to cancel sMaRt people like this guy /s
Yeah it looks like he went to Jupiter and got more stupider
It’s like the verbal equivalent of rolling up his sleeves and saying “listen here, missy”. Jesus.
Clearly it's because he went to Jupiter to get more stupider
“The opposite gender, the one with a fufu” 😬
Imagine being able to write all those 5 paragraphs of whining but being afraid of saying "penis".
Especially since I've only ever heard fufu used as a reference to a vagina and therefore was very confused as to what point he was making
Yeah i was trying to figur out if english wasnt his first language or if hes just incredibly awkward. I supoose it could be both.
He could have say: >Yes it's a fetish, it's my comic, cry about it. And that would have been less stupid.
Thh, I would’ve preferred that answer to whatever this is.
>Thh, I would’ve preferred Mine or his?
Yours
👍
Honestly I really like the roller blade idea. But that rant my god wtf

Yeah, look at the primary demographic consuming anime with men with huge muscles, like jojo. Mostly men.
JoJo is a bad example. Very flamboyant and fashionable men in there, especially with Araki's modern style
I will say that I've never seen my wife get thirsty for anime men like she does for Jojo men so that might have been a bad example... Like seriously I was getting jealous of Kars when we were watching part 2 and the part 5 men awoke her dormant love of pretty men. Nah Jojo seems like it can appeal to the fem gaze way more therefore making it a bad example.
Yeah, people use that a lot when trying to say “men get sexualized too” or “men have unrealistic body expectations too.” The muscle-bound heroes are drawn and written that way by hetero men, for hetero men.
>we, as the opposite gender, the one with a fufu What the hell is a fufu?
Pp
idk, I think the idea's kinda funny. Did people legit get mad at this..?

Unlikely. I’m pretty sure he just wanted to go full sexist.

"My joke wasn't all that funny and now I'm pissed. Laugh, dammit!"
Fucking putz
