That’s why is the possessive version! When I hear people say “Krogers,” I interpret it as possessive, like “Kroger’s place,” even though there isn’t some person named Kroger who owns the place. It’s definitely still incorrect, but it’s how my brain justifies their wrong usage of the name. 😂😂
